A word from Parc
Stephen Starr's stylish addition to Rittenhouse Square pays tribute to French cafe culture, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, ideal for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Parc recalls the chic brasseries of Paris, serving classic French fare in a charming space. Red leather banquettes topped with frosted glass provide a sense of intimacy. Details such as well-worn wooden chairs, vintage framed paintings and photos and antique brass fixtures transport guests across the Atlantic. French doors spill onto a sidewalk terrace covered by a dark red awning perfect for dining "en plein air." Reservations are not accepted for outdoor tables.Continued

  • "Good food and great atmosphere but the noise level is really high."

  • "Great bread, ravioli, duck and salads. Don't get a steak here though. They messed it up multiple times."

  • "Everytime I am in Philadelphia I HAVE to come here!! Fabulous restaurant!"

  • "What a wonderful brunch experience! Our servers made us feel very special with their attentive care. My children had the best milk shakes ever as well as a fabulous meal. Who new eggs could taste that good? My Norwegian Eggs Benedict was perfect and sophisticated and made me feel that we had gone somewhere special because we had! Servings were plentiful and our food came quickly. We will look forward to coming again."

  • "This is a very reliable French-style bistro. You can count on good food, good service and noise. It's not the most comfortable place because of the style of seats and noise level. However, the food is good and I come back again and again."

  • "Parc is always a favorite. This time in our Sunday brunch party of 5, we had a guest from France who had to leave unexpectedly early to catch a train to Newark, then a plane to Paris. He asked if could a beet salad right away and a team of servers brought it. Bravo! We stayed on and enjoyed a wonderful brunch. My Croque-Madame was tasty!"

  • "Great experience, as always, in every way. Delicious food and terrific service."

  • "I love everything about Parc; it is my happy place to get away from my suburban life and have peace for few hours. I always order a Bellini first! than quickly look over to the menu which I practically memorized by now... Look forward to the return of our lovely server (boy or girl, each time I get the friendliest person with a smile on his/her face), bringing the BREAD BASKET to the table which will dissapear shortly. Depending on my hunger level, I might order the charcuterie platter or the warm shrimp salad... And again, if I am not already in a food coma, I might order the profiterol or just settle with the esspresso... I have been there with various family members, to celebrate my birthday, Easter Brunch or just by my self."

  • "The last time I attended Parc was to take my mother out for her birthday. The experience was wonderful, the food was divine, and the staff was very friendly. My mom walked away feeling very special after our dinner."

  • "Had a wonderful breakfast at Parc, celebrating my partner's 50th birthday. If you've never been, I'd recommend the Eggs Benedict and Mimosas, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is very french, and comfortable. I'd recommend either a window seat or outdoor dining facing Rittenhouse Square. We visit Philly from Virginia at least once a year and always make Parc a destination. I'm sure dinner would be just as lovely."

  • "We love Parc. Every time we visit Philadelphia, Parc is an absolute must for brunch before heading home. The food is incredible, the service is fantastic, and we love the outdoor seating overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Excellent place."

  • "Awesome service, love all the waiters and waitresses. Great food! Alittle expensive but well worth it."

  • "Parc is our go-to place. Whenever out-of-town guests come to Philly, we take them to Parc. After that, they suggest that we make reservations the next time they come. Parc is always our first choice."

  • "The strip steak and trout amandine were excellent! Service was also top notch. if you're in the mood for steak, stick with the strip vs the steak frites. The pomme puree are the best we've ever had anywhere, including France."

  • "The breakfast was delicious. Nice to have a place other than a diner to enjoy breakfast on a weekday."

  • "Parc was all around an enjoyable dinner location. The staff was friendly and helpful, with the waiter being very knowledgeable about the menu. All the food items were very good - interesting and tasty preparations."

  • "Always a hit The bread is outrageously delish. I might enjoy a bit more variety on the menu....but always a fav!"

  • "We had good food and service and a window table with a view of Rittenhouse Square. I was disappointed the windows were not open, and the AC was too cold. The noise level was too high and I had to speak very loudly to my lunch companion. The restaurant is conveniently located to my residence and I wish I could go there more often, but the noise is a deterrent."

  • "If only the experience with making the Open Table reservations and the individuals that greeted me were the same as the server :( Our server was so very quiet that I could not understand her. I felt terrible, but had to keep asking her to repeat herself. Therefore I became annoyed and did not have the best experience. I would say, request a server that can speak up. Also, it was so HOT in the restaurant that I did not have the patience to wait for dessert because I felt so ill from the heat. AC would have been nice. I don't think I will return."

  • "I love Parc for its great drinks and people watching. The mussels are delicious. My son says the best milkshakes in the City are at Parc!"

  • "We celebrated my son's 30th birthday at Parc and it was very special in every way. We had a wonderful table near the windows facing Rittenhouse Square. We saw and enjoyed the passing parade. Our waiter was very professional in every way. The maitre de came over to welcome us and see how things were going. The food was unique and excellent. I had the cold gazpacho soup and the omelet. Both were delicious. My husband and son found their meals to be outstanding, too. At the end of our meal, our waiter surprised my son with a birthday treat and candle. All in all, a perfect celebration!"

  • "Excellent brunch. The food is excellent, and the service is classy. Most importantly -- they have the best bread I ever had! (I can't comment about lunch or dinner.)"

  • "Loving the Balthazar Restaurant (NYC) we had a very high expectations to start with. We had a lovely time at Parc . It was not the most amazing experience, but a very enjoyable evening. The food was good, the service was superb, but watching people "slipping" $$ and getting a table instantly while we were waiting patiently for our table was not so cool. Perhaps next time i will skip the whole reservation process, and rely on cash:)"

  • "We made a reservation for 12pm on Sunday, but arrived earlier thinking there will be plenty of tables available at 10.45am. It was a pleasant surprise as the place was obviously popular. We wanted to sit outside and were told that it would take 15-20 minutes. So we grabbed coffee at the bar and shortly our table outside was ready. The service was a little bit slow, but very friendly and professional. We ordered beets salad to share, steak and eggs and Norwegian eggs for our mains. The beet salad was excellent, good size to share, light and fresh. My Norwegian eggs were excellent. However, my boyfriend ordered steak and eggs, he asked for sunny side up eggs, but received scrambled instead, so we had to send it back. Overall, great brunch!!!"

  • "This was a wonderful meal out for my husband and I. Perfect night to be near the open air doors, looking out over Rittenhouse Square. Wonderful cheese plate we let the waiter select, excellent service, great food, dessert coffee, everything was delicious from start to finish."

  • "Took our family of 4 out to celebrate my birthday and the kids straight As. Lovely meal. Very happy. The appetizers were to die for, and the entree's very good. I split an entree with my husband and the restaurant was kind enough to bring it out on 2 plates. Same for our salad. Really nicely done. I do wish they'd coordinated the coffee and dessert, or at least refilled the coffee. Also wish the dessert menu had less intense chocolate options. But overall lovely and we'd love to go back."

  • "My girlfriend and I chose Parc for my birthday dinner. We could not have been happier with the meal. The cocktails were a bit heavy on the liquor. The cheese plate was fantastic and the bread was excellent. As for the entrees, we had the Loup de Mer and Duck Confit. Both were served quickly and were two of the best things I have ever eaten. We sat outside, so it can be a bit noisy occasionally, but looking out onto Rittenhouse Park makes for a very nice evening."

  • "We have one server who was friendly, and also one person who seemed to be the manager who was excellent. He was able to manage the place very very well. My boyfriend and I were very happy. The food is also a huge success, we definitely will come back ;)"

  • "After so many reviews and longstanding prescience, our expectations were high. Many opined onion soup and warm shrimp salad. Soup loaded with cheese, but broth nothing special. Salad presented well but again no WOW. Open Tsble reservations honored for inside only in a table stuck against the wall near serving station. Rsther bruskly informed that the seats overlooking Rittenhiuse Sq., which is the main draw, were first come basis. With that we were graciously seated to enjoy the 'Paris like' bistro seating and passing parade. Iconic old world feel inside and out, perhaps a better breakfast spot or menu choice. But st about $70 for soup and salad, I would put it in a tourist attraction category."

  • "After driving 'all' the way into the city, the Valet relieved us of the hassle of Philly Parking. The hostess immediatly sat us at table by the OPEN window (giving us the best of IN/OUTside eating). Our waitress (whose name i wish I could remember) was extremely attentive & helpful w/our Wine, Beer & Supper selection. I would highly recommend Parc as a great RESTAURANT for Date Night :) (or friends / family gathering) as it was Simply Phenomenal!!!"

  • "Service was decent. Our first courses were very good. (Green salad and a crab cake). The main course-- bouillabaisse-- was horrible. $60 for two bowls of salty, uninspired fish soup was an incredible disappointment. (Especially when I had just recently had a fabulous bouillabaisse at a different restaurant a month earlier.). Won't go back."

  • "Parc has become my favorite restaurant and we eat there often. The food, service and ambiance are consistently outstanding. Enjoyed the Trout Almondine on Friday after work and am returning on Sunday for brunch. Have another reservation for the following Sunday as well. So many great dishes it is hard to choose. The bread is to die for. Servers are always knowledgable & professional."

  • "Parc has become our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. The food and service are both consistently great. On a recent trip to celebrate an important birthday for my husband, the staff were particulary kind and accommodating. If you can, try to get a table by the windows with a view out to Rittenhouse square. In good weather they fold back so you really get a sidewalk table experience. It is wonderful."

  • "While the food was high quality and the service not bad, the experience was marred by the noise. Half the people in the room were yelling to be heard over the others; the other half were yelling to be heard by everyone – apparently they thought they were that interesting. Will not go back."
