ParcA Favorite Spot!Terrific place to bring guests from out of town. The food is good, the environs are terrific, and it is most convenient.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMParc is alway great. GreatParc is alway great. Great food, great people what more can you ask for.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMsaturday brunchthe service and food were excellent, beautiful decor, a little noisy, otherwise a very good experience for brunch.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat an unexpected Gem!All four of us enjoyed our dinner at Parc last weekend while traveling to Phila for the US Open. We stayed on Rittenhouse Sq so it was an easy and lovely walk to the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat (while not too loud). The mushroom truffle appetizer was incredible! We sat at an inside table near the open air street side so it felt like we were at a French cafe. The service was quite good as well...overall an excellent dining experience. If this is Phila's #50, I want to visit the other 49!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect locationThe restaurant had indoor/outdoor seating and food was great!!
Would highly recommend!!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMParc - Great French Food! Our family of five was in Philadelphia for a special occasion. We had reserved a table at Parc based on reviews. The atmosphere was lively, and the decor provided a "Folies Bergere" ambiance. The outdoor seating was lovely, however, first come, first serve. The establishment does not reserve outdoor tables. The beef bourguignon was delicious, with an appropriate portion, allowing enough room for a special occasion dessert. My daughter chose a New York strip steak which was prepared well, although a bit salty. My guys had the rostisserie duck with cherry gastrique. It was a new experience for them, but the plates were empty nonetheless! Desserts were excellent, no complaints there! The apple tarte tatin was sublime. Overall, thumbs up!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMParc continues to be a terrificParc continues to be a terrific neighborhood spot for consistently good food ( even when incredibly busy!), charming ambience, an energetic crowd and the location on Rittenhouse Square park couldn't be better....!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMALWAYS A WINNERPhiladelphia is lucky to have shining star in the Park. Energy is great.. food is always consistant and good. Service is outsatnding
despite the crowds on a busy Wednesday night. The bread is the best in the city. Menu is varied... from omelettes to hambergers to excellent fish dishes.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMRomanceAn inside/ outside table, a glass of french champagne, oysters, rye whiskey, bitters, french onion soup, crispy duck, housemade ice cream, a walk in the Parc...a recipe for a beautiful romantic evening.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful in every way,Great food' wonderful service, it does not get any better!!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch in RittenhousePerfect table outside! Pastries were melt-in-your-mouth :) A perfect spot for Sunday brunch.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways delishTook mom here for her b-day dinner. Excellent food, as always. Warm shrimp salad never dissapoints. The bread and butter is insane. Drinks were tasty. Service was attentive without being annoying. We'll be back for sure.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFrench Bistro atmosphereMy husband had been to Parc for lunch but it was my first time. Food was well prepared - good, not outstanding. The prices high for the quality. In these Starr themed restaurants one seems to pay as much for the decor and ambiance of the themed space as for the food. I got the mussels and french fries for entree, bib salad for appetizer. Ingredient quality was good. When I order mussels in white wine sauce, it is as much for the sauce (for dipping my bread in) as for the mussels. The sauce was adequate not outstanding. French fries nice - thin and crispy. Both my husband & I ordered the French 75 specialty cocktail - it was too citrusy for our tastes; we'd just had one made by a friend weekend before that was much better.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it!Casual, energetic atmosphere! Incredible food! Simply great!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent FoodBoth Trout Amadine and Moules Frites were flavorful and very good. Paris Brest was worth the calorie.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMRue de Rivoli?Parc gets it right, from the cafe tables and chairs all facing the Park, to the decor, menu and food. We loved everything we ate here (beet salad, mushroom tart, scallops, trout almondine, and dessert). The scallops were cooked perfectly and I'm still recalling the Trout Almondine with great fondness (perfectly crisped skin, no bones). Only two disappointments: the wine list had more US wines by the glass than French wines, and nothing really jumped out at me on the dessert menu. More glacé, perhaps? I want to return and try a beer float.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my favorites!Parc is amazing for brunch. Food is wonderful. The atmosphere is energentic yet relaxing. I highly recommend.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch with the ladiesIt was a great experience. I so enjoyed myself. The mimosa Lorraine was my favorite. I didn't like my French toast as much but everything else was wonderful. We'll definitely be back6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThe salads are particularlyThe salads are particularly fine. You really do feel transported to Paris just a little.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousWe were not disappointed with anything we had; excellent traditional French dishes including beef bourgignon and duck confit. The desserts were delicious as well. If you are looking for a French dining exoerience from the food to the ambience, Parc will not let you down. It's as if you've been transpirted to a Parisien brasserie.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner with Out of Town FriendsMy friends from Cambridge MA, who are frequenters of many fine restaurants, thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
It was a very warm night, and the windows were open, so we were pretty hot until the sun set. But all of our food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. Our waiter was very attentive, and kept the drinks fresh all night. And the desserts!
Paris Brest was the best dessert I've eaten in a long time. We shared, and all loved it! My friends were staying at the Rittenhouse Hotel, but the recommendation was mine (as a native Philadelphian.) They were delighted with the choice. Thanks for a great dinner.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Place to Eat!I love everything about Parc - except the noise level. Most times it is bearable, but sometimes I cannot hear the person across the table.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA fun night out with the girls! We went to celebrate a new job for a friend. We just wanted appetizers and drinks and that was no problem even though it was during dinner. We ordered a cheese tray and the seafood tower (although that's not what it was called). Both were excellent and our waiter couldn't have been more helpful. We really enjoyed it, we weren't rushed and the food sand drinks were good.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner! My first time having dinner at Parc. I've always visited for lunch or brunch previously. Amazing food, great lively atmosphere - I would definitely recommend.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful. Our waitress saidDelightful. Our waitress said that their pancakes were the best she'd ever had anywhere, and in fact they were. No idea what made them so delicious, but they were incredibly tasty. As was pretty much everything else we ate.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSunny Sunday brunchAte brunch here on Memorial Day. Tables outside are close together, but gret for people watching in riittenhouse square. My husband and I both enjoyed mimosas and the delicious assortment in the bread basket (the bread basket is what stands out most from my previous visit too! ). My husband had the French toast-he mug hav loved it because he ate it all. I had the spinach and goat cheese omelet, which was good, the potatoes were really good. Would definitely return.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFruit De Mer:-)!Awesome dinner, started with the smaller seafood plateau, an amazing app at an amazing price! Then, since it was Monday we shared the Dover Sole. It was amazing and they even split it on two plates, an extra special touch:)
Adam, our server was very attentive but not intrusive, great service! It's crazy with the volume of food they put out that the quality of food is so good! What a nice dinner!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat sidewalk diningwe had a great brunch on a beautiful memorial day.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunchPar is a great place for a Saturday or Sunday brunch. Their French food is outstanding and their service is excellent.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was an enjoyable placeThis was an enjoyable place for eating lunch in a group. It is like a French neighborhood restaurant, albeit expensive. We went for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. The food was enjoyable, particularly the seafood, and the servers were pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. The decor is charming, and the view of Rittenhouse Square is beautiful!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic! My husband and I visited Philly for a couple days and this was our first stop - and the favorite of our trip. Our waiter was so helpful and friendly, and the food was fantastic. Really cannot say enough about our experience at Parc. It gets busy, so I definitely recommend a reservation. And the best spot is outdoors (weather permitting), so you can people watch over Rittenhouse Square.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticGreat dinner for our anniversary. The raw bar "petit plateau" was amazing, my wife had lamb shank and I had steak frites, both seasoned and cooked perfectly. In addition to our desserts we ordered they even brought us out a little plate of macarons with a sparkler to celebrate!5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBest thing I did in Philly.A colleague recommended Parc for the last night of a business trip in Philly. Dining solo is not always fun, but the hostess gave me a great table by the window which provided plenty of people-watching while enjoying one of the best dinners I've had in ages. Be sure to try the Oeufs et Mayonnaise - sounds odd but tastes amazing. The meal and service were paced nicely - no pressure to turn the table even though it was a busy night. I've already recommended it to others.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMNever DisappointedI dine at Parc very often, and like it every time, The food is consistently excellent, and the restaurant has a high energy level.
A great place for any occasion. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially visiters from out of town.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a good time hereParc never seems to disappoint. I don't particularly like French food, but i always have a really good meal here. The service was fabulous for sitting outside. I would recommend Parc to anyone looking for a good experience.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA taste of Europe in PhiladelphiaLooking for a nice european bistro. Parc is the place. Great food, wine, deserts and overall atmosphere. Pleasant service.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWant to See Rittenhouse Square?Great food, service and views of the square. What's not to like?5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food - Too LoudThe food was good and we loved the ambiance, but it was so loud in the restaurant that our party of four either had to remain quiet and not speak or yell at one another to say something that only one or two of us heard each time. I hate to go away from a place remembering only the drawbacks, but it was that loud.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome, as alwaysThis is one of our favorite places and it never disappoints. Everything was outstanding. Thank you!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place for lunch! This was my third visit to Parc and had a wonderful time. The lobster appetizer was delicious as was the rest of the meal. I definitely recommend ending the meal with the Vietnamese Coffee if you favor the sweet flavors. A+5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPHILADELPHIAS BEST...............Thanks to Stephen Starr.....Philadelphia has its own Paris Cafe right in the heart of Rittenhouse Square. From the moment the most amazing bakery basket comes to your table.. you know you are in HEAVEN.. The best news is you can buy it to take home. The energy is fun and the food is outstanding. It is clear that the culinary team knows what they are doing. There are no specials....because all is special.
The outside space is a perfect venue for a fun summer night.
The staff greets you and continues to make you feel that you are their guest for the evening.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFrench country charmThis restaurant was recommended by a local for our out of town group. Delightful meal with classic French countryside ambience.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMHostess aware that we perhapsHostess aware that we perhaps would not like to sit in the big room which was so noisy and sat us at a table for two near the entrance which was somewhat quieter. We didn't ask for this, she just looked us over and guessed that is what we would want.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnifiqueFelt like we were in Paris, without the airfare! The maitre'd was wonderful, the server was great. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. Been here many times and never disappointed!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMfirst experiance with open tableexcellent choice for us food was very good service excellent waiter very knowledgeable and all around a great dining experiance5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLove it!I love this restaurant. I only go there for special occasions but I never mind paying that much for excellent food. See ever even brought out a free dessert for my graduation.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOur evening at Parc was exceptionalOur evening at Parc was exceptional! We have enjoyed dining at this restaurant many times in the past - we brought friends for dinner who have never dined at Parc and they thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! The food and the service were outstanding and it was even more impressive because it was a beautiful night in the city!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistent, excellentI have been to Parc a number of times--for dinner with my wife where we seek a nice vibe, business lunches, meals with friends and even a Sweet Sixteen that we held there in March in honor of my daughter and 8 of her friends. The experience has been consistently superior. Well done S. Starr!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMRomantic & delicious!Enjoyed a delicious lunch ( get the warm shrimp salad!) sitting outside Parisian style facing Rittenhouse Park. A great place to eat & people watch while enjoying the beautiful back drop of the park.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Celebration DinnerOur daughter graduated from Temple University that day and requested we dine at Parc to celebrate. Couldn't have asked for a better dinner. The food, ambience and waiter were all outstanding! We will definitely be returning to Parc in the future.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
