Diner Reviews
  • "We had a wonderful experience and look forward to coming back soon. Everyone was very accommodating and polite. Our server made sure to let me know that they received my message about my allergies and that I had nothing to worry about. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I don't know what else to say. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to have an amazing dining experience. Ohh... One last thing. I am looking forward to trying their burgers. Hopefully real soon."

  • "On a hot day, I couldn't imagine myself eating outside, but they offered their porch with ceiling fans and it was actually delightful. The food was delicious - we each had a salad and homemade coffee gelato (with cookies on the side). Our French waitress was attentive and quite pleasant. I recommend it for lunch and/or dinner. It truly is a neighborhood gem."

  • "Food was wonderful. Caesar salad was nice size. Not made table side, but dressing tasted fresh. Diver scallops with English peas were perfect--nice crunch to the peas. Hangar steak well-cooked as ordered."

  • "Sunday brunch was delicious and very relaxing. We sat on the porch on a beautiful day and relaxed for more than 2 hours without feeling rushed or any pressure to leave. Bloody Mary bar was fun and the appetizer bar had delicious small bites. The menu was varied and interesting. Definitely worth a second visit!"

  • "This restaurant is one of the best restaurants we've been to in a very long time!"

  • "Dined on the veranda, which was a real treat on a fantastic summer evening. Food was of superior quality, prepared perfectly, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive without being obtrusive. Of special note was the serious wine list. On Sunday, they offer selected bottles at half price. The sommelier described each of the half-priice choices very well to help us make our choice ... and his description was spot-on. We can't find any flaw worth mentioning in our entire dining experience at Paramour."

  • "We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a great time! We decided to sit in the dining room- but will have to go back to try the bar menu!"

  • "Our anniversary dinner was excellent from start to finish. Sitting on the porch on a beautiful summer evening added to the perfect ambience. Appetizers of heirloom tomato mozzarella salad and Caesar salad were followed by scallops and sea bass , all excellent. Dessert was different and delicious, chocolate caramel parfait. Service could not have been better and since reading poor reviews about this we were concerned. We will be back especially in the summer for the porch experience."

  • "Needed a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. An online search suggested Paramour might fit our need. It did. Vibrant restaurant with great service, exciting ambience, innovative menu, and good-looking patrons."

  • "I took my dad to brunch for Father's Day. We made reservations and when we arrived, the hostess gave us a choice between a table inside or on the porch. It was beautiful out so we sat on the porch. Our server was fantastic at the beginning and great at the end but disappeared for the majority of our time there. We had to ask another server for refills after we sat there for 20+ minutes with empty glasses. When the food came out, some of it was missing so we had to get another server to get the rest of our order. The food was delicious but slightly over priced."

  • "The food and dining room here are great. We go regularly. And usually the service is pretty darn good, but the last time we went, for Father's Day Brunch, our waitress was not good, and her poor service diminished our experience. She was absent and late with things, even though the dining room was not at all full (we came right at opening). Still, we will go back for the food and ambiance and hope for better service."

  • "We were celebrating a special occasion and returned to one of our favorite restaurants. Our waitress had zero personality. We ordered an appetizer with our drinks. She brought two, then the other drinks and no appetizer. We had to ask for bread. She attempted to serve the appetizer after the first course. Did not check in at the table once during service. After dinner, she handed us dessert menus. We had had enough and just wanted to leave. After declining dessert, she said "well the Manager was going to give you ONE dessert because of the appetizer". We couldn't believe it. Because of her, my husband swore we would never go back. Your manager should have approached us before we left to at least attempt a recovery."

  • "We had a wonderful dinner at Paramour for our son's graduation. The food was delicious, the service was friendly but not disruptive - the room is spacious and comfortable, and not too loud, allowing for a large table to be able to converse easily. I would definitely go back - menu highlights - diver scallops. "

  • "Our metric for any fine restaurant is the former occupant of this location, Tauqet. It was a consistent five star experience. Paramour provided a very enjoyable evening. The food was excellent (although one of the salads was incorrect and had to be changed). The environment was very nice. The service was a bit rough around the edges. I don't want to single out anyone because everyone worked hard. However, there are procedures for service that five star staffs execute consistently such as how food is served, removal of completed plates, not reaching across a guest with plates/food for another, being attentive but not hovering. This is about training to provide a five star experience. That said we will return. The evening was very nice."

  • "My husband and I have dined at Paramour three or four times. Each time the food was delicious and the service was very good in every respect. However, the service was extremely slow on Wednesday, June 4th when we were celebrating a friend's birthday. Twice we had to get up and go find someone to ask when our dinner would be served. The exuse was "we are low on staff." Dinner finally arrived and it was very good but our dining experience was diminished by the terrible service. The restaurant did apologize and gave us dessert free of charge. We will return to Paramour but hope the service will be as it was on our first few visits."

  • "The food was delicious with interesting ingredients. The presentation was well done. The desert menu was limited and not as appealing. Service was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Sitting on the outdoor porch was delightful, especially on a lovely spring evening. The indoor decor was not to my liking, fabric on booths was too loud. Other than that, the layout was cozy, romantic and lovely"

  • "Dined at Paramour recently for wife's birthday. Beautiful interior and exterior, and friendly attentive service, but of course that means little compared to the food, which was very good. My wife had the crudo appetizer which she thought was outstanding. My lobster and prawn cocktail was only mediocre, however, with very little taste in the lobster or prawns and none whatsoever in the accompanying romesco sauce. The scallop main course and the red snapper dish were both tasty and beautifully presented. The wine list is ample, though markups are on the high side. We would definitely visit Paramour again."

  • "Paramour is a good solid suburban restaurant, but based on the price point it is not exceptional. The food is good, but not great. We have all become spoiled by the creative cuisine available in Center City Philadelphia and in a select number of suburban restaurants. Paramour is clearly a step up when compared to the suburban chain restaurants, but it does not compare with many of the fine restaurants in Center City or the creative suburban restaurants such as Black Fish, Cerise, etc."

  • "Perfect, EveryTHING!!!!:-) Perfect hostest and perfect server, perfect seat, perfect reccommendations and perfect food! Gorgeous! Perfect Ambience! Like we were the only ones in the world! :-) Oysters from Heaven! Scallop principal dish from heaven and he also loved his Salmon. Best was the strawberry rhubarb pie! Tim and I thought Everything was pure PERFECTION! O:-) "

  • "The food was very good. I liked the menu and everything tasted and was presented well. The service was average. Would expect more attentiveness considering the overall ambience and to some extent the price and location. Would still recommend it though "

  • "We've been to Paramour several times recently. We sat on the porch, which is truly wonderful when the the French word for mistress?) has introduced several bInnovations to the still-staid Wayne restaiurant scene. Upside: a very broad menu with something for everyone. Jury is out:SS The bloody mary bar that allows you to customize your drinks from a selection of vegetables, juice and meats. And the hors d'ouvre Bar, that let's you carry two or maybe three very small plates back to your table. Kind of reminds you of the fixins bar at Roy Rogers--but It does give you something to do while you wait for the food to arrive. Which is a shame because the Food and ambiance at Paramour make it a desirable destination in Wayne. "

  • "We really enjoyed dining at Paramour. We celebrated our daughter's college graduation with a small group for lunch. The service was a bit slow but the food and ambiance were spendid. They also had a Bloody Mary bar which was very cool! We would all go back!"

  • "They have amazing service and quality! Johnny was our server and very sweet! The food was very good! Although, we got really spoiled the first time coming here! The HOST is extra nice!!! :-) The specials were great! :-) Make sure if U put Ur salad dressing on from the side, that U do not pour the whole thing on top-- my friend messed up his salad by doing this. But that was HIS fault! ahahahah… The chef was so generous to split a salad on two plates and it looked gorgeous! ...and the same for an appetizer... and an entree!… and two desserts! …The royal treatment! "

  • "My friend and I decided to surprise a friend for a mini brunch baby shower. Without informing the restaurant of the surprise prior to our arrival, the staff was extremely accommodating and fulfilled my request to sit at a discreet table and even hid the gifts for me (a gigantic stroller!). They played along with our surprise and made sure the new mommy-to-be was taken care of. The brunch was wonderful and they even have a really nice bloody mary bar and complimentary brunch appetizers. The appetizers were superb quality (mini parfaits, muffins/croissants, bread pudding, brie w/ fig compote, etc) and much detail was put into their presentation - a very nice touch! The decor is beautiful and welcomes an ordinary lunch or a special event! "

  • "Everyone loves brunch at Paramour and the brunch on Mother's Day was great as usual. The weather was fine and we ate out on the porch. The brunch features excellent "amuse bouches" --which are lovely little dishes of imaginative and extremely tasty small snacks-- and the bloody Mary bar featuring all the garnishments including wonderful jumbo shrimps. The menu features Crab Louis with scallops, lobster and crab with a wonderful dressing; steak and eggs; and tasty sliders. Service is vert attentive. This remains one of my two or three favorite brunches in the Philadelphia area. "
