Diner Reviews
  • "What a great new restaurant!! Great for after theater, delicious food, great cocktails and very well priced plus several stars from shows were having dinner there!! "

  • "I arrived with a friend after making a 12:45pm reservation through Open Table for lunch. There was only one other table sat in the dining room which was obviously not a good sign. We were presented with menus that only listed two entrees while there were at least give listed on their menu online. This was frustrating as that left no vegetarian options for myself except for a salad that was just greens and sides (asparagus and warm potato salad). Another potential patron came in after us, was furious about the menu and left. Once we ordered, it was about 25 minutes before anything was served....no bread, nothing. The food we had was fine, the servers were nice enough and the restaurant is nicely designed, but I will not go back."

  • "Great food and excellent service. Great location for a pre-theatre meal."

  • "Following a meeting at NYT, at my suggestion, we all walked 6 blocks north here for Monday lunch. Since the place opened at noon, it was deserted and basically remained so when we left at 1:30. The food burgers and sandwiches were huge and tasty, however the waiter got my drink order mixed up a couple of times. To sum up: I was expecting to show my out-of-town guests a little Ian Schrager hipness but maybe it was the hour of the day and that it was early in the week. A solid B."

  • "This is a mediocre hotel restaurant, reservations are available for a reason. The place is extremely loud, the burger is ok."

  • "Were seating promptly and enjoyed a delicious dinner with our party ordering a variety of different foods (pork, hamburger, salmon) and we were all happy. They moved things along so we made our 8 pm show with plenty of time. Will definitely go back."

  • "We left before they could take our order -- the dining room was booming with ear-splitting disco music. No wonder it was empty."

  • "Three people had chicken---too dry. Limited pasta menu, tomato sauce: dull. The salmon dish was great! Vegetarians, stay away. The Paramount restaurant used to be great now it's far too limited in what it offers and what it offers is problematic, hit or miss. It's a good bar scene but as for dining, go elsewhere."

  • "Never thought you would really take a reservation without a credit card number first. I´m gratefully very surprised with OpenTable Service and obviously with the Paramount Bar&Grill, too."

  • "Service was good and attentive. Limited menu, not much from which to choose."

  • "Had a great time with my friend! We had an amazing server, but the night was made even better by the yummy food options and excellent cocktails. Will certainly make a return trip next time I'm in the area."

  • "The dinner started off with roles that were so hard I could not break them in order to butter them and returned them twice but they just had no fresh roles. I tried to call the restaurant at 6 to say I would like to extend the reservation but after three times, no one was there to answer the phone until I had to call the general manger of the hotel who finally said that the manager of the restaurant was busy elsewhere. That is a first for me to have no one at reception at dinner time to answer the phone. MY husband ordered a medium hamburger which came out well done. I ordered fish without the head and tail off which came out with the head and tail still on. It seems that what we ordered was not heard."

  • "Although the drinks and service were very good, the food was disappointing."

  • "We did not realize it was part of the hotel - it would have been nice to have a separate entrance to the restaurant. The food was good but way over-priced. The service was very good."

  • "My sister and I were seeing a matinee down the street. Although we had never been to the Paramount Hotel before, I was so happy with our choice. From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left, the experience exceeded our expectations. The staff welcomed us and was so friendly. The service was great and the food was delicious. Everything about the dining experience was a 10. I would definitely recommend to others and I look forward to going back."

  • "In the heart of the theatre district but not crowded or rushed. The food was very good, the service attentive and the check arrived promptly after we told the waiter we had a curtain time. Definitely a find!"

  • "Food and service were fine. However,an 18% service charge (aka gratuity) was automatically added to the check - we were a party of 2. When we questioned, they said it was a union hotel, Europeans don't tip so this way they were assured a tip. If you prefer to give a discretionary tip based on service, I would avoid Paramount!"

  • "We had pre-theater dinner and this stylish place was a quarter full which made for a peaceful meal. The branzino was delicious but look out for bones. Chicken Pot Pie was beautiful and hearty if a little bland. Nice, knowledgeable, attentive servers made the whole experience memorable."
