Parallel Seventeen is a neighborhood bistro and bar serving Pan-Asian cuisine with European influences. Since opening in 2005, P17 has been recognized as one of Denver's best restaurants. The handcrafted bar serves some of Denver's best original cocktails, in addition to an international wine list. Located in the heart of 17th Avenue's Restaurant Row, P17 offers one of Denver's most popular summer patios.   • "My husband and I were delighted to find tables available for us on Easter morning waiting for us at P17. I have an egg allergy, so I always appreciate places that offer entree items beyond just egg dishes! P17 will make anyone with any type of appetite and taste happy! I had the Saigon Sandwich served with a salad. Yum! My husband had a smoked salmon benedict w/a caper hollandaise sauce. Looked amazing...and the duck fat potatoes were so tasty! My only hang ups...no separate menu for non-alcoholic beverages. I'm pregnant, so options for n/a would have been nice. The other hang up...our server literally was in our face every 2 minutes. Chill out and let your diners relax and enjoy their food w/o checking in on EVERY bite! Whoa!"

  • "I have frequented Parallel 17 many times over the years and have always had exceptional experiences. That is why I was disappointed with my recent visit for happy hour. Their happy hour food items were very skimpy and I would even say they were not a deal/cheaper than ordering off the regular menu (ex: $4 for one tuna taco where the regular menu item is $12 for 3). The drinks were very good and worth the happy hour prices. I will still continue to frequent for brunch and dinner...but will probably not go specifically for happy hour."

  • "We've dined at Parallel Seventeen many times in the last few years but found this visit to be a little disappointing. It appears that they've taken some great items off the menu and have not replaced them with anything so the selection seems very limited. The food we did end up ordering was delicious, as usual, but I would have preferred a few more choices. Also, the parking situation is getting ridiculous. I know it's not the restaurant's fault but it took 15 minutes before we could find an empty spot 3 blocks away."

  • "We have been to Parallel 17 a few times, mostly for restaurant week, and the menu this year was absolutely amazing. The chef always comes up with very creative dishes that are simply awesome. We haven't tried the brunches yet but heard they were amazing. We have to drive from Aurora just to enjoy but it is well worth the trip and so love the atmosphere in the place. I would say, come early because it gets crowded really fast. Love this place- it is such an enjoyment!"

  • "My wife and I hadn't been to Parallel Seventeen is just over three years. Why is a long story, but had nothing to do with the restaurant. On our return a couple of things stood out. A very good restaurant is now a great restaurant but the Vietnamese element has diminished, at least in our eyes.We had spring rolls as a starter and the asian dish was well executed. For entrees, I had the Duck Duo and my wife the Alamosa Bass. The Duck Duo, a smoked breast and a confit leg, was the best I've ever had. From the overall concept to the smallest detail (crispy leek on the breast) it was outstanding. The bass is locally sourced and perfectly cooked. We shared a melange of beans that was a perfect accompanyment to both dishes. We'll be back soon."

  • "I had lunch with two friends here on a Friday, and while the menu was not typically what I would order, since I'm pretty reluctant to try new things, I ordered the vegetarian pho. I love pho, and usually order the beef version, but it was a Friday during Lent, so I opted for the vegetarian version. It was excellent. It was probably the only time I've enjoyed tofu, which they battered and fried and then added to the pho. It was a fantastic addition. Service was great. I will definitely be coming back."

  • "This was the first restaurant my husband and I went to for Denver Restaurant Week. We arrived promptly on time for our reservation, and had to wait several minutes before we were even greeted. The hostess said our table wasn't ready, but found another spot for us. Our server was polite, but not very engaging and attentive like some of the other servers. The food was good, but I've had just as good or even better Thai/Vietnamese food at any Asian strip-mall restaurant on Federal. The portions were extremely tiny. The ambience was really nice, but the space was small and crowded. I would like to try to this restaurant again, but for brunch, not dinner."

  • "This was our second visit. Food is very good, great presentation. The problem is trying to read the menu! We thought we were the only ones that were having a very hard time reading it, but the couple next to us were having the same problem. We borrowed an I phone from one of the employees to use the light to read the menu, even then it was hard, poor choice of stock, ink color and type size. PLEASE change your printed menu!"

  • "I visited here for the first time over the weekend for brunch. After taking recommendations from the server, we ordered several entrees and split them. Overall, the food was great. My only complaint was the chicken sausage which was overcooked. The rest of our group agreed. There was no need to complain being that everything else on our plates was excellent. They offer bottomless mimosas, which is great considering it was a group of my girlfriends from the neighborhood. The restaurant was not busy and the service was a bit slow/lacking. We sat at several points without water and refills on our drinks. Overall, the service and sausage would not stop us from revisiting. I would highly recommend to have brunch here!"

The Coq Au Vin was completely over cooked and tasteless. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant for dinner!"

  • "We have gone to Parallel 17 the last two years for Christmas Brunch--we love it! The tuna taro tacos and pork belly buns (even better than Uncle and Cholon) are to die for and we love their unique drinks and cozy ambiance. We always take our toddler with us as well and he loves to try their food. We wish they had glass noodles like they serve in Vietnam. The only reason we don't give it a five star is their Spring Roll dish with vermicelli noodles is a bit bland and we wish they had more appetizer/small dish options."

  • "I had not been here for probably 7 years and the menu has changed. We opted for a lunch brunch eggs benedict and it was outstanding. A nice change from the usual. Our service person, Greta, was fantastic! Watch out - she might get goggled up by another restaurant if you aren't careful. She explained all the items in detail before we made our selection which made it even more difficult to decide what to order. I cannot wait to go back sooner than later and probably this next time for dinner. Even though the space is small and the lunch crowd started filling up, service was handled without a hitch. Everyone seemed comfortable and the atmosphere did make you feel rushed to complete your meal. Kudos to the staff!!!"

  • "I love the special menus that P17 offers and their food is great. I also love that they offer non-asian options for brunch. We took my parents there for New Years Brunch because I wanted something different and special. The food was fantastic, but the service was terrible. It took 2 hours for brunch! It seemed like they were short staffed even though we had a reservation, so I hope this was just a fluke. I ordered the bottomless pho and only had one bowl but wasn't allowed to take any to go. Seems like kind of a rip-off to me! I would understand if I had had 2-3 bowls, but with just one I thought it wouldn't be a big deal to give me a bowl to go. Overall, I'll be back but P17 could stand to improve their customer service."

  • "Food and Anbience was awesome. Only reason service was ok and not great was an issue with a salad. I had asked for my salad to not have cucumbers. When it came out, it had cucumbers but the waitress caught it before I did. This would have been a great thing if that's where it ended. Rather than remake the salad, they picked the cucumbers of the top. Of course there where cucumbers left, and when mixed with the dressing the whole thing ended up tasting like a cucumber. Was it that hard to remake a salad quick?"

  • "A little off the Mark on Christmas!!! Not what we expect from P-17. Wrong wine came out with 1st course, I was half way through my 3rd course before the paired wine showed. They were out of two items on the Menu. I know, Christmas was busy , it happens. But at 4:30??? Last, we had a reservation for 6. 1 cancelled, so we were five. Group 6 20 % tip was added anyway!!! Not their best effort!!! Food was very good!!"

  • "One of the only restaurants open on Christmas, which we don't celebrate. The food and service were outstanding. The only drawback was by the time we arrived for a 5:15 reservation, two of the items were no longer available, but the options we choose were terrific. Our waitress was attentive, pleasant and helpful when it came to choosing other options for dinner. Definitely will return!! Nice to know there is a place to go to that is open all year round."
