Last minute reservationFound this through Open Table after a 14 hr day of volunteering. It was just perfect -good food and service. We'd go back again.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWe hit it on a wrong nightNormally, this is a real "neighborhood gem." This night there happened to be a crowd from out of town watching "the game" on the bar tv. They were very noisy. The poor staff was so apologetic that they could not provide their usual nice quiet dining experience. They were so gracious. It was not their fault! The food was wonderful, and we did not fault them for something beyond their control. We will certainly be back.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMYou need to try this place!Parallel Post is a unique dining experience for this part of Fairfield County. If you haven't been yet, you definitly want to give it a try.
We've been to Parallel Post at least six times now, and our experience has been uniformly great. I read some of the other reviews on here and am surprised by the one's that are negative because based on my multiple experiences there, I don't get it. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food; they seem proud of what comes out of the kitchen-- always a good sign!
Parallel Post is a restaurant with a casual, modern atmosphere, but where the food is anything but casual.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMYes!Three times visiting this new hot spot and quite happy. Favorites include the Lady Killer (a margarita with jalapeño infused tequila), the grass fed burger, the Mahi, the Brussels sprouts and I required you to enjoy the adult grilled cheese as an app.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMYou need to try this placeGreat food-- innovative for this part of Fairfield County. I like how fresh things are and the variety of vegetables that they serve. I'd definitely recommend.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMNice find in TrumbullLovely presentation, well-crafted,imaginative fare, Server was sweet and helpful. But--it's pricey for anyone who isn't on an expense account. I was there to celebrate a friends birthday (lunch). I will return!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMUnexpectedly ExcellentWonderful, knowledgeable, accommodating staff, excellent menu and nuanced presentation. Will definitely go again; hotel venue a little bit of a surprise but worth the exploration.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome food as always. SeatedAwesome food as always. Seated near hostess station and they were fooling/joking around which was slightly distracting. Awesome food as always. Will be back for sure.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Hidden GemThis was my first time dinning at this restaurant and it will not be my last. I was highly impressed with the unique food combinations, courteous staff and the warm ambience of the restaurant. This hidden gem offers fresh ingredients from local farms and other local vendors. They change their menu weekly so don't expect to go back for your favorites as they might not be there! They even use local breweries for their beer selection! What a great way to bring communities together, help out local businesses and stimulate the economy. The food was phenomenal! I am still dreaming about it! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMMy family and I really enjoyedMy family and I really enjoyed the dinner we had here. The environment was really comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the food we had-- it was well-prepared, innovative, very fresh. Our server was excited about the restaurant and about the food he was serving us which added to our enjoyment of the meeting. I think some people might be reluctant to give this place a try because it's in the lobby of a Marriott, but they shouldn't be. Parallel Post is not serving the standard fare that you find in a suburban hotel3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of a kind in this area! This is a great new place. Nothing like you would expect from a hotel restaurant. The food is excellent. My meal is as good as any fine dining experience I've had in Manhattan. The staff is super helpful, but service can be slow. They never seem to be in rush! There isn't anything like this menu in the Stratford, Trumbull, Bridgeport, or Shelton area. Worth the visit and proud to support this new great find.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
