This night there happened to be a crowd from out of town watching "the game" on the bar tv. They were very noisy. The poor staff was so apologetic that they could not provide their usual nice quiet dining experience. They were so gracious. It was not their fault! The food was wonderful, and we did not fault them for something beyond their control. We've been to Parallel Post at least six times now, and our experience has been uniformly great. I read some of the other reviews on here and am surprised by the one's that are negative because based on my multiple experiences there, I don't get it. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food; they seem proud of what comes out of the kitchen-- always a good sign!

I was highly impressed with the unique food combinations, courteous staff and the warm ambience of the restaurant. This hidden gem offers fresh ingredients from local farms and other local vendors. They change their menu weekly so don't expect to go back for your favorites as they might not be there! They even use local breweries for their beer selection! What a great way to bring communities together, help out local businesses and stimulate the economy. The food was phenomenal! I am still dreaming about it! Everyone enjoyed the food we had-- it was well-prepared, innovative, very fresh. Our server was excited about the restaurant and about the food he was serving us which added to our enjoyment of the meeting. I think some people might be reluctant to give this place a try because it's in the lobby of a Marriott, but they shouldn't be. Nothing like you would expect from a hotel restaurant. The food is excellent. My meal is as good as any fine dining experience I've had in Manhattan. The staff is super helpful, but service can be slow. They never seem to be in rush! There isn't anything like this menu in the Stratford, Trumbull, Bridgeport, or Shelton area.
