The food at Parallax continues to be inventive, interesting, yummy and of the highest caliber - even on a late Monday night when most restaurant owners choose to close shop. From the endless bread, to mussels, to goat cheese salad the menu keeps surprising for its authenticity and taste. Service is excellent and servers are always knowledgeable about the menu. I always get sushi and I think it is best in the city! My husband gets anything but sushi and it is always outstanding. Potsticker appetizer could be the best in the city! Despite the busy night, our server was attentive throughout our meal and very helpful. The cocktails we had, Zack's Mustache and the Mango Harbanero Mrgarita, were creative and very well-made. Our appetizer of goat cheese and jalapeño hush puppies were outstanding. My wife loved her surf and turf sushi, and the udon noodle bowl with duck confit is worth the trip to Tremont all by itself. The chocolate mousse cake was light and flavorful, and a great way to end the meal. Im a huge foodie so i spent good time looking over all the changes!! For apps try the salmon tartare!!! Spicy tuna roll was delicious as usual! Ordered the grilled salmon w/ tempura asparagus and sticky rice. Dish was amazing just wish their wasn't a light broth beneath it as it didnt keep the dish "crispy"... Flavors were amazing and salmom was cooked perfectly!! Excited to go back to try the other new apps and entrees. Can't go wrong with Parallax...! In my opinion it is the best of the five Zack Bruell restaurants and my favorite in Cleveland. I had the udon noodles with roast pork belly, shrimp and broccolini. The broth was very rich and tasty. Awesome bowl. My only slight complaint is that the shrimp were very tiny, bay shrimp I believe. We also shared a smoked salmon and potato pancake appetizer which was delicious. My wife loved the panko fried chicken. Great meal. They serve amazing food at reasonable prices ($20-30 per entree), and it is worth every penny. I highly recommend ordering from their seafood menu, and if they have some sort of white fish with a curry sauce, it will be amazing. My boyfriend is a fan of their dishes with a heavier fish (salmon, swordfish) and latin flavors.
