A word from Paralia (formerly Trinity Taverna)
Since we opened, we've been called a
number of things.
Some say Trinity.
Others say Modern Greek Taverna. We've also been called
Trinity on the Beaches.
So after months of careful consideration, we've realized we
need a name that truly defines us.
Our identity in a single word.
Allow us to reintroduce ourselves.
We are Paralia.

Paralia

Paralia is more than a great place on the beach. It's the
feeling of being transported to another world. To a vibrant
seaside village where the white sand meets the turquoise
blue waters of the Aegean.
Where the ocean is part of everyday life and every night is
a celebration. Where the best ingredients from the land and
sea meet.

Live Greek. Escape to Paralia.

Diner Reviews
  • "The food was mediocre however nicely decorated, giving a good ambiance. I think this would be a great brunch spot, but would not return for dinner."

  • "We love Paralia!! Our neighbourhood was in dire need of a fine dining restaurant and Paralia certainly meets the mark! A stunning restaurant with a gorgeous patio makes it a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon or for an exceptional dinner. You must try the Sangria!"
    Dined on 7/25/2014
  • "Waitstaff the most knowledgable I have encountered in a long time."
    Dined on 7/24/2014
  • "We loved the ambience and watching evening turn into night at the lake. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal, even those of us who are not seafood aficionados! Definitely will return."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "Great setting. You almost feel as if you are in Greece. Food was amazing. The calamari was perfectly cooked. Wine list is extensive and the servers know a bit about the wines."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "I went expecting the same old burger joint with a new name but I was super pleased to see a bright bustling Greek restaurant. The fish was wonderful but expensive."
    Dined on 7/20/2014
  • "We have come as a family three times now and we have enjoyed our dining experience immensely. The service was good, the restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious. The fish (our favourite) is fabulous and we will come to dine again soon."
    Dined on 7/20/2014
  • "Finally a descent restaurant on the lake. Beautifull place a reminder of a taverna on a greek island. A little pricy but well worth the experience. Will absolutely return. Only negative : why make your client pay $5 for parking ?"
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "Great ambience. Not a huge menu selection. Food was good. But be prepared to pay big bucks."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "We enjoyed the quality of food very much. The service we received from our waiter was outstanding. The manager came before and after the dining, greeted us, chatted a little bit and then gave us a farewell. Overall everything was outstanding."
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "Probably the best fish in Toronto and lot's of other very tasty apps and sides. The problem is the wine list. If you love Greek wine, you will be happy. If you don't, and I don't, you have to drink water with your delicious food. The wine list is entirely Greek. Since I don't drink at lunch, this is a fine place to go to. However, because I like wine with my dinner and I don't like Greek wine, I have to take my dinner business elsewhere."

  • "Not impressed Been coming here from the day they opened the doors Everything triniti was is gone with its name Totally different experience Not worth the money they charge"

  • "We had a very delicious and enjoyable experience at Paralia."
    Dined on 7/16/2014
  • "Good food. 4 of us each had different mains. Osso buco was the best. Lamb chops and steak very good fresh fish just fair. Appetizers excellent. Very expensive better value elsewhere. Location and atmosphere can't be beat."

  • "It's such a shame really, at one point I recommended this restaurant to everyone in the city. We've been there twice in the last 2 weeks and both times the service was horrendous. Not even on a busy night the servers are rude and the managers take zero responsibility for mistakes. Something must have happened recently with the name change, like a change in management and I can confidently say this place won't last. It's a shame really because it's such a great concept and at one point the food was incredible. It had a ton of potential to be a gem but they screwed up hard"

  • "Paralia (Trinity Taverna) has become my favorite resto in Toronto. The food is outstanding, ingredients are high quality (fish, meat, seafood...) and the service is awesome. I'd recommen this restaurant to anyone that wants to have an unforgettable taste in their mouths."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "Best restaurant in Toronto... amazing food and awesome ambience. Just miss the old menu-- shocked to see it change, had a couple of great favorites that were missing!"
    Dined on 7/10/2014
  • "Great place, great location, unfortunately very expensive and the food was terrible. I had lamb chops, ordered them medium, came well done. Too hard and too chewey. Do not order octopus, it's a ripoff and it sucks. My wife wasn't happy with her meal nor was the couple we were dining with. Service was great though. One think I couldn't understand was that they served French fries with all the food but they don't carry ketchup. How do you not have ketchup??? I may go back, but if we do it will be for a drink only to enjoy the patio."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Food is a disaster, don't order anything other than appetisers."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "Despite many previous reviews noting service gaps, our brunch was well served and attentive. However, we found that the margins for the restaurant (both food and beer) were excessive. Food was generally well done, but portions very small for appetizers but OK for some mains. Noise level was still very high, but it was World Cup. At least it wasn't the "bass-dominant" Euro-pop trash of our previous visit."

  • "It's too bad that this restaurant isnt as special as the incredible location on the water I ate here twice last summer and came away feeling the same, so, so I thought with the name change I would give it another chance Upon arrival warmly greeted by some young twenty something girls. They did not acknowlege my request on my open table reservation to sit outside and promply brought us to the worst seats in the house. ( restaurants need to stop this practice, it's offensive). When i said no, I asked to be outside, they brought us to a nice table outdoors We had shrimp and greek salad to start, both good fish as a main was good In the end its about the food, just not good enough"

  • "Casual dining in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. Great food choices, excellent service, open air concept. Can't go wrong with the fish or lamb. Just delicious! Good choice for special occasion as it pricey."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "This restaurant is so beautiful, the outside tables facing the beach takes you to another world. The setting is perfect for a nice escape of the city and to enjoy so great food, out fish was a tad dry but the appetizers were phenomenal, I would recommend the lamb. We will be going back again soon!"
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "Very responsive when we found a grocery plastic tag in the appetizer."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "Inexperience on the service and the front of house side spoiled the dining experience ...45 minutes between appetizers and main course...overpriced for the food....terrific ambiance and great patio dining but the food and sluggish service left us cold when this should be a hot spot with its location and buzz about the place ... the change in branding and name and chef has not been a positive....need to rethink their prices and quality of dining or the initial buzz and great reviews we had heard will quickly diminish..."
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "I was skeptical about a high end Mediterranean spot in the Beach, but its just like being on a Greek Island. Amazing ambience, fresh and unique takes on the Greek classics (the Horitaki is to die for) and terrific service."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "Fantastic quality of food, very fresh and delicious. Vibey atmosphere and fun location close to the lake, but wow, the food is so good! Smart wine list with lots of international choices but the Greek list is very interesting. Who knew there was so much excellent Greek wine?"
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "Some definitely standouts on the menu (kalistounakia, bamyes, stifado, mousaka) but overall, the food didn't impress too much. The octapus was over tenderized and the spreads and sides lacked taste/seasoning. The size of the portions were very small as well (a xoriatiki salad for two was smaller than most restaurants personal size) especially considering the prices ($6 for a few pieces of overcooked pita?). The service was ok, but nothing special. Not to mention, they have a store policy of no bread (forcing you to buy the overpriced pita). What Greek restaurant doesn't have bread on the table? We probably won't go back."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "Definitely a nice spot by the beaches. Decor is nicely done. As for everything else, I feel a bit of ambivalence. Food is OK, but, I think slightly overpriced. Perhaps I'm overreacting, however, running out of stock of Guiness beer on a weekend afternoon.....unacceptable. Server made an honest effort and food came out in a fairly timely manner. Some of the dishes were well done, some lacked the flare I was expecting. Overall, are there better and worse places, yes. Just my two cents."

  • "This was a disappointing experience and for lack of a better word, appalling service. The prices on the menu are in the category of a high end restaurant and the food and service are better at Mr. Greek. The side of potatoes came after the meals were eaten, it took 15 minutes for a bottle of coke to be brought out, and there was no water refills throughout the entire meal. These were just a few of the things that went wrong. The management was as disorganized as the staff. The manager did not fix the situation at the table but she chased out of the restaurant with a 10 dollar bill, telling me the beer was on the house. If you want to be a high end restaurant you need to back it up with food and service which this place definitely did not."

  • "When you walk into this restaurant you are immediately transported to a Greek island. The fish and seafood are outstanding and it is always fun!"
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "We ordered a seafood platter and the mussels served were bad. The waitress didn't do anything about it, called the manager over to talk to our table and tried to argue that the awful smell was a scent of freshness. After insisting he take it away, he came back a few minutes later and admitted that it had in fact gone bad and replaced 7 mussels with 4 shrimps. I can't say I'll go back here."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "Way overpriced for mediocre food. Their chairs are horrible and my back was killing me by the end of dinner that I just wanted to get out of there as quick as I can. The waiter couldn't even pronounce the food properly. I would never go back."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "We visited this restaurant when it first opened last summer. The food was good but expensive. It was packed with people. We went back in February. We liked the food but found it expensive. There weren't too many people. When we went back on Saturday, June 21, 2014, we noticed that the restaurant had changed names from Trinity to Paralia. The restaurant was again half empty for a saturday night, the food was not as good as the first time we visited and the portions got much smaller. The PRICES WENT UP!! It is VERY EXPENSIVE for what you are getting to eat. $ 78.00 for a small white snapper, etc.. !!!! We were very disappointed, we will never go back again or recommend this restaurant to our friends. That was a rip-off!!!!!"

  • "I think this experience makes it to the top of the list for worst-restaurant-experience-ever. Why? Let me just name a few. 1. Seated at our table for 10 minutes before waving down wait staff for acknowledgement. Hi! Over here! 2. Informed 40 minutes into our meal (after 1st course dishes were cleared) that our main wasn't available. 3. Revised our order to Lamb Chops, medium rare. Ready? Dish arrives a cool rare, room temp, 40 mins later. How embarrassing for that chef. 4. But don't worry! They graciously "took care of the lamb" on the bill and "the wine" -not the wine we ordered, but the two glasses they brought to apologize with. Not sure how these events could have transpired one after the other without ever seeing a manager appear!"

  • "Despite being a beautiful location, the experience was disappointing - again. Service was awful - again. We went back for the moussaka, which has changed and isn't nearly as good as it was. We asked for two more slices of bread to finish our dips and then got an extra $6 charge. Water glass was dirty. Food was simply okay but grossly overpriced. Two appetizers, 3 mains and two glasses of wine +15% tip came out to $250. Essentially Greek diner-ish food and service at five star cost. The location on the beach is indeed beautiful but ambience isn't enough to make up for its other faults. If I returned it would only be for a drink on the patio. For which you have to go to the bar and get your own drinks. In short, overreaching big time!"

  • "Enjoyed the food..waiter was trying to upsell .....when we had already ordered too much food! It was delicious amd a fun place...great for groups..open amd spacious..nosiy but high ceiling seemed to help diffuse.. Will definitely go back!"

  • "The service was outstanding. We were a little overwhelmed at the menu and decided to order a few (6?) items to share. We were all very happy with the choices. Delicious Phyllo Dumplings and surprisingly good rice with spinach. The Village Salad was wonderful with a slice of warmed feta with sesame seed crust. We were glad to be sitting outside as the music inside was a little too loud. We will definitely go again (but only when we can sit outside)."

  • "This is a unique location in Toronto, but they are understaffed and as a result service is a bit slow. No wines by the glass other than Greek, food was hit and miss, and $6 for dry pitas (though that was the free "bread" with meal) was a bit ridiculous."
