Paragon at The Claremont Hotel Club & SpaVery Good Food with a ViewThe limited menu has interesting choices and the food is very well prepared. The house smoked salmon appetizer, and halibut and ravioli entrees were all excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. This, combined with the great view, makes the Paragon Bar a great place for an informal meal6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBerkeley GemI've eaten here a couple of times; my daughter attends U.C. Berkeley. The food is very good and the service is solid except when busy. Incredible views of the S.F. Bay Area this is a true, historic gem.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMy First Time to ClaremontI live very close by, which means after 10 years, I had never been to Claremont. Finally went, and highly recommend. Was a great getaway and great food and views.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat ambiance, good foodMy best friend was visiting from Socal. We loved dining on the patio. I had the mac n cheese and spinach. They were both ok. She had the Butter fish with couscous special. It was excellent! I will come back again when I'm in the bay area.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMConvenient Quality View DiningAttentive service, good menu for a business lunch, excellent view. Spacious table, we were able to eat, chat, and do business without worrying about drinks spilling on the ipad. Availability of parking a real plus.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA lovely spot for lunch with a viewThree of us, who usually meet every other month for lunch at a more ordinary restaurant, came to Paragon to celebrate a special birthday. We got what we were looking for: elegance, a view and really good service! The food (I had an open tuna melt sandwich and salad) was tasty and the wine selection met our needs. We ate on the deck and enjoyed an amazing view over San Francisco Bay. Paragon is the right place for a special occasion; we'll be back.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMVIEWS & FOOD - DELECTABLEGreat casual dining with stunning views of SF at the world-class Claremont Hotel!

The salmon was just outstanding3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe steak and Scottish salmonThe steak and Scottish salmon entrees were outstanding as was the prawn appetizer.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMvery happy with everything, very happy with everything, except our waiter was a little slow...otherwise it was great..food great!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThough the sun in early eveningThough the sun in early evening had long since set into the fog , the deck overlooking the Bay remained inviting and warm. Later the crescent moon and sparkling city lights would illuminate a wonderful St. Patrick's dinner. It opened with interesting drinks, especially a gingery Feng Shui cocktail, followed by an Irish lamb stew that my fellow diners raved about, and I have to concede was intensely flavorful without that overarching muttony quality one often tastes. My salmon with colorful cauliflowers was well prepared, but the ahi appetizer with taro chips remained the highlight.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMvery tasty food. the tunavery tasty food. the tuna melt was very good. capers and sun dried tomatoes mixed in and tuna not too wet. great cheese and fries were very crispy.....grilled cheese just as good. soup nice. only glitch was the dessert. did not seem homemade--frozen. great view12/1/2012 12:00:00 AM
