"This was my second trip to Paragon this week. I went back for the food, which has always been good but is better! Monday I had the fish special - Red Rock Fish with a corn and bell pepper saute. Thursday a new version of a chicken dish I have enjoyed there before.

Was told a new chef started about 6 months ago. It had been at least that long since I visited and yet I was recognized and warmly welcomed both visits this week. Given my choice of sections, tables and nicely taken care of. I generally have good experiences dining alone - as I was on my return visit this week- but especially appreciate the establishments that make an extra effort."

"Enjoyed Paragon. Celebrated our 39th anniversary. We both ordered prime rib (medium cut). It had good flavor but was very tough. We will not be having prime rib. At $25 per plate the is an over kill for a meal that is not easy to eat. Flavor was very good. Everything, including the bread pudding was wonderful.

Don't cook you meat too hot for a short time. Slow cooking will make a big difference in the outcome of your meat."

"It's been a long time since we have been to Paragon and the experience was still great. The server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The drinks were good. My porkchops melted in my mouth. My husband's steak was a little less perfect, but still very good with wonderful sides. We always go nuts for the bread here. So very lucky to have such a nice dining experience on Valentine's day, especially with only making the reservation the day before. Thank you, Paragon"

"Went there for Valentine's Day with their special menu. The food was excellent. The grilled oyster special was absolutely delicious and the scallop were cooked to perfection. The pork chop I had was a little over cooked, but still tasted great. The only bad thing was the mojito was not up to snuff.

We were also placed at a table near the server station where one of the spot lights shown right on my seat. Felt like I should have had a microphone and MCed the evening. Other than that, it was all pretty good, but what do you expect from Paragon, a Portland mainstay."

"Very unique and creative special of the evening, which the chef adapted to suit my vegan wife. We were first very pleased with the quality of the water, which may seem a minor point, but set the stage well for the food to follow."
