Chef Angelo Romano’s Paradiso restaurant exemplifies excellence. I initially felt a sense of hospitality on the phone when making a reservation; that hospitality was reinforced throughout the evening by the genuine warmth and confidence of the chef and staff. They are on top of their game and it shows.
The menu is a superlative exploration of the chef's Italian Riviera background. It relies heavily on locally caught seafood and light (almost simplistic) compositions that skillfully accent the flavors of the high quality ingredients…
Paradiso absolutely earned its stars. Not because of the meticulously clean and organized restaurant, nor the expert service, or even the amazing food and drink.
It is because all these aspects meshed together seamlessly, effortlessly and impeccably. Whereas some restaurants try to impress, Paradiso is simply impressive

  • "My husband and I dined with another couple on Saturday it was our first time,our friends had eaten here before. The service was fine,we were promptly seated, and drink orders taken. I ordered a soft shell crab app for $18 very tasty, but too expensive. My husband had a salad for $16, again nice,but nothing special, expensive. My entree was a seared duck breast and duck leg that I thought was outstanding, for $38, a little on the high side,but well worth it. When it first came it was too well done, so they replaced it. When the bill came, there were at least two charges of $36 each that were not ordered.Our host said EVERY TIME he eats there this happens,obviously NOT mistakes. DO NOT GO!Restaurant was less than half full."

First course took almost an hour to get. Second course was another hour. Still the food was so good, the service did not lessen the experience."

  • "The food was excellent, the wine list is extensive, albeit expensive. Difficult to find a wine for less than $50. The problem was the service. On arriving for our 7:30 reservation on Saturday, we were told they were running late, and they had a few very large parties, which turned out to include a large party of over 40 people who were very noisy. Ultimately we were seated in a booth in the same room with this group. We had to seek out a waitperson and ask repeatedly for a menu (they said they were short of them). It took over 1/2 hour to get water, bread, and finally our wine. After that, we again sought a waitperson to order, expecting that the kitchen was going to be overwhelmed by the large group."

  • "I've never had a bad meal here and this time did not disappoint. I had Bronzini for the first time and it was fabulous! Presentation was amazing as it comes in a thick crust of salt which the server has to chip off with a mallet. Very interesting and very yummy :) Dessert is EXCEPTIONAL!!! Robin, our server was very knowledgeable and I went with his recommendations."
