"Ambience, lighting, seating was perfect. Music was egh - would have liked to have heard contemporary Italian music. Great menu choices - I had the tripe appetizer - it was amazing. The salumi plate was interesting - we didn't care for the lardo - it had an "off" taste. Scallops with wild mushroom risotto was great, my son's veal loin with parsnips was also great. My pork osso bucco - not so good - it was very undercooked as were the beans it sat on - there really wasn't any sauce to speak of.
Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and I would return and recommend it to friends."

"The food was fabulous but the star was Jimmy When Icalled to ask if thr restaurant was handicapped-accessible jimmy assured me he would greet us with a steel ramgreeted us on timeus an we had personalized service all night"

"This is a very good restaurant. Our food was delicious.
The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive.
But- the noise level was deafening. We had to yell to hear each other.
Even our waitress had trouble hearing and being heard.

For this reason I would think twice before returning."

"We had the best dinner!!!!! Salads were delicious as was the escargot....oysters were fabulous and so were our entrees. The service was great and Lyn is one of the best chefs.
Great restaurant....always have a great dinner. Thank you!!!!!!"

"I have high standards for Italian food in East Passayunk/South Philly, and Paradiso didn't quite meet them. I ordered the gnocchi, and it was good, but such a simple dish has to be spot on to be competitive in this neighborhood, and this didn't stand out for me. Feels like it just recently opened, very clean but not warm or intimate at all, another thing I expect in South Philly. Sunday BYOB night is a good deal. Probably won't be back."

"The noise was so loud we keep asking server to repeat herself. There was some sort of large group there so I think it was not a normal occurrence. My dishes were excellent, the special seafood pasta a winner, really delicious. My wife's were not, weird parsnip soup and a duck ragu pasta that did not have a good taste. Server was very nice. 12 corkage very fair."

"The food was unbelievable not too expensive but definitely some of the best italian in Philly. The service was very good and the waiter made several suggestions for food and wine which were all excellent, he was attentive and very polite. Of note there was a jazz band playing which was excellent and really added to the whole experience"
