My wife and I love going here on for 'date night', as well as the occasional brunch with our little one. The food is unique and delicious. The service is fantastic. We've been several times for brunch and dinner and have never been disappointed.

The three mushroom lasagne and bread pudding were wonderful, however the chicken was uneventful. Service was a bit disjointed - delivered wrong appetizer, yet the staff was friendly.

I love that Pappo is never crowded for brunch, when every other place in the Bay Area is overflowing. Make a reservation anyway, but it's probably even safe to walk in.

We ordered the salmon that came on top of beet risotto. The risotto was too al dente, but what was worse than the food was the service. The waiter did not smile AT ALL and it seemed that he felt he was above serving us. We even asked for water and he did not bring the water, and when I tried to ask for water, he walked away as I was asking for it.

This is a lovely small restaurant which had come highly recommended. My entrees were wonderful. My husband wasn't as happy since his salmon was less cooked than he liked, but as soon as he said something the server immediately made it right. And the dessert was excellent. Overall I was very pleased and would return.
