At Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, the focus is a total quality dining experience; in the food and wine the steakhouse offers and in the pristine service it provides. The steakhouse features USDA Prime, in-house dry-aged beef, superior to all grades and known for its marbling, texture and flavor. The menu also includes seafood selections from Pacific Blue Fin Tuna to Live Main Lobster.

The award-winning wine list boasts over 3,500 selections and the cellars have an inventory totaling over 35,000 bottles from every major fine wine producing region in the world. Both the Dallas and Houston steakhouses received the coveted 2013 Grand Award, which is the highest distinction possible for wine selection by Wine Spectator. Dallas has been proud recipients of this prestigious award since 2011.

  • "The entrees - steak, lobster, fish, are superb. Everything here is insanely expensive. When you pay $50 for a steak, that is the only item on your plate. The family style sides (also quite expensive, in the $11-14 range) were unimpressive. Even a "house salad," lettuce, carrot, tomato, croutons, and dressing, was over $10. The best deal on the menu is the 6 oz filet with mashed potatoes for $42 from the bar menu. This is definitely a "special occasion only" or "someone else is paying" kind of place. Our dinner for 5 people, which included only one ($25!) glass of wine, was $400 before tip. Despite the prices, the restaurant was full. The lighting is dim and it's loud, and my 83 year old mother in law could neither see nor hear while we ate."

I observed he inspecting another table which was prepared for another guest; she took out a flashlight and meticulously inspected the stemware for watermarks and fingerprints.The wine list was overwhelming however the sommelier was a great help selecting the wine."

We had ribeyes, ny strip, a small fillet and the crab mac-n-cheese. The food was excellent as always. This is my favorite steak place in Dallas."

They even offered a shawl for ladies who were cool in the dining area- nice touch. We had the bar sized strip and fillet, the turtle soup, and wedge salad. We loved every selection. It is pricey, so please be warned, but is a nice special occasion or romantic evening place."

This is an amazing food explosion in your mouth, if you take a bite with the garlic bread it comes with, so many flavors burst in your mouth that you close your eyes and savor each bite. The 14 oz New York Strip was cooked exactly how I asked and melted in my mouth. We enjoyed a half bottle of red wine with our dinner, I'm by far no wine expert, so don't ask me to repeat which one on the their mass list of wines that it was. The pricing is on the higher side, but well worth the money if you are looking for an excellent steak and great ambiance."

Side portions are very large... would be nice if they offered half portions. ALL of the staff at this location are exceptional and friendly... a large group came in as we were finishing dinner. Manager came to us and offered to relocate us for dessert if we felt the noise level was too much. GREAT PLACE... highly recommend."
