Diner Reviews
  • "They have a pretty good gluten free menu. It's a bit pricey, but way more reasonable for lunch. Very good service!"

  • "Usually I am blown away with the service and food at Papa Razzi. Our server was friendly, but he forgot my drink until he was reminded half way thru our service. He told us that our appetizers and entrees would have to come out at the same time, because the kitchen was very busy. That's a new one. They ended up coming out 10 minutes apart. They did change the menu and my favorite tortellini mushroom dish is gone, but I will be back to try some of the new entrees."

  • "We went with 4 people who hadn't ever been, everyone was pleased and surprised that it was as good as it was ! The menu has been recently updated and they have good selections - Saturday nights they offer oso buco which is my personal favorite. Definitely happy faces after dinner."

  • "not wanting to settle, I chose our dinner at Papa Razzi. Thinking outside the box was not too hard as it is near to our house. Thankfully it was not a problem in parking nor waiting for a table (Thank you Open Table) the opening Cesar salad was nice indeed and had a great lead up to my pasta dinner. My dinner companions had different choices as one wanted chicken Parmesan and the other chose to have veal. both were quite happy with their choices and the infusion of the fresh bread put our bellies into a stuffed mode. One diner had a chanti and the other had a soft white wine with dinner and both were quite satisfied with their choices. Leftovers a plenty. Once again, Razzi did not disappoint!"

  • "My friend has to eat gluten-free and Papa Razzi offered just what he wanted and the manager came over to ensure all was right."

  • "We had never been to Papa Razzi before, but we'd heard good things. This was where we chose to have our 25th wedding anniversary dinner, just the two of us. And, we were very pleased with our decision. The atmosphere was romantic and the food was delicious. The waitress was attentive. It was just a little noisy, but otherwise absolutely perfect! We would definitely recommend it for a special occasion."

  • "While the food is very good, it is very expensive for the portion size, especially for an Italian restaurant. We don't often go to this restaurant because we find it expensive and very load but we had a couple of gift cards we needed to use. My wife order two lemon based chicken dishes, each time the waiter came back and said they were out. Supposedly everything is made to order and yet they were out of two of their staple dishes on a Saturday at 7:30. The waiter was at a loss to explain it. If you decide to go, sit in their their little function room as it will cut down on the noise level which is very loud in the main dining area. Also make reservations and expect to wait."

  • "Sat. reservation for 4 was for 7pm...got there at 6:45 had to wait until 7:20... when time to order waitress informed that chicken picata not available (one member of party had planned on that)...when we ordered, 2 of party ordered the sat night special (osso boca) which she informed us that it was gone!! hard to believe something they promote as a nightly special was gone by 7:30! Food came after very long wait (other diners had ordered, ate and were gone by the time ours arrived)..cold risotto had to be sent back on two dishes..one dish came with missing side. Overall very bad experience...manager did comp two dinners but did not make up for the poor food and service."

  • "First time dining at a Papa Razzi. Will definitely be a return guest. Table was roomy and clean. Very hospitable greeter at front of restaurant and server was knowledgable and attentive. Chicken Parm was a very large serving. Saved enough for a second meal. Risotto Funghi was good but a bit bland. Panzanella salad was very very good."

  • "Haven't been to Papa Razzi in years but it is always consistent. Haven't been for years because the locations are not near me. I chose this one for this occasion because it was half-way between the people dining. Location was good and I new that the restaurant wouldn't fail. One of my friends is a wine snob and he was delighted w/ the wine. Once again, nice job, Papa Razzi!"

  • "We've been here many times and the food is always very, very good - not once-in-a-lifetime outstanding, but we always look forward to returning. Great individual-sized, thin-crust pizza. The salmon and the gallo al forno are always excellent. Prices are very reasonable, and the waitstaff is outstanding. By all means, go."

  • "Very nice place to eat. We really like the bar. Service always good, food also good. Prices are a little high for entrees and drinks. Available pizza, etc., more reasonable."

  • "Exzcellent cokctail list, and they will mix anything you would like. Pasta dishes are all good, particularly Spaghetti Alla Bolognese. The Gallo Al Forno and Salmone Al Forno were terrific tonight."

  • "Three of our grown daughters asked my wife and I out for dinner for our birthdays (yes, we have the same birthday) and my wife chose Papa Razzi since it's her favorite restaurant. The five of us had a 5:30 reservation on a Saturday evening, and we were promptly seated at a round table. We all had different dishes ranging from Salmon to Scaloppine Dipollo to Gnoccis and everything was delicious as usual. The service was excellent and the noise level was good for a busy Saturday night. We never felt rushed. Also, one of my daughters inquired about a gluten free menu and was politely told that even though they don't have a gluten-free menu, everything is cooked to order and they would do all they could to accommodate her."

  • "My lunch companion's meal was undercooked and he had to wait an add'l 10-15 mins before his meal came out again. The waitress wasnt very attentive about checking on whether it was ready and it really wasnt that busy there. The manager did comp us dessert but that took another 10 mins before it was served. Seems like there are kitchen issues which trickles down to the wait staff. Not planning to go back anytime soon."

  • "My brother & his wife -who are "foodies" visited the area this weekend with their 3 small children. Paparazzi was the perfect choice. kid friendly with great food & very good service. The place was packed & a bit loud but the menu had something for everyone in our group. Half orders of the pasta dishes are available which is good to know because the portions are huge. Everything was very good except the bruschetta which was soggy with tasteless tomatoes- otherwise, a perfect dinner."

  • "As always - fabulous martini's - outstanding service and the gluten free pizza was great. My friend had Ziti Al Pomoro and a Misto salad the she loved. This has always been on e of my favorite restaurants!"

  • "This restaurant has changed. It used to have good food. One od us got the bolognes and there was hardly any sauce on it. I got the penne and chicken dish. I had to send it back because the penne was over cooked. When I got a replacement there were only two pieces of chicken in the dish."

  • "Just a very good place to eat a meal and sip a drink"

  • "Everything was just a bit of a miss. Salad had too much dressing. Salmon was overcooked. Spinach was bland. Eggplant was mushy. Not sure what happened as we have been to other PRs in the past and loved it."
    Dined on 12/28/2013
  • "my last few experiences have been disappointing with the food - the lobster ravioli was chewy....cesar salad was almost tasteless...something has changed....as the food quality used to be better...hoping things change for the better"

  • "We used to frequent the Papa Razzi quite often. Recently, though, my wife was diagnosed with Celiac disease, and we were concerned about all the gluten-containing ingredients in the kitchen. We discussed this with the management, though, and came to appreciate the care they take with a variety of food allergies. The staff understand her needs and help guide us to appropriate choices. The chefs change gloves, use dedicated equipment, and either the chef or the manager delivers her food to ensure that no mistakes are made. And the food is delicious! Highly recommended for people with food allergies and a hankering for Italian. Grazie molto!"

  • "Our Server was WONDERFUL. Helpful, friendly, efficient; then why good not excellent? We waited 10 minutes at the hosts station in a nearly empty restaurant with reservations and no one to seat us. Finally one of the waiters sat us. Food was good, large portions, decent wine list."

  • "We've been to Papa Razzi a few times and have generally enjoyed it. This time, my wife and I both wanted steak so she ordered the NY strip and I ordered the filet tenderloins. After confirming with the waitress the proper cooking level based on temperature and color, we both ordered our steaks 'medium' which was to be a warm, red center. Her steak came out perfectly. Mine was well done (not even pink). The manager was very apologetic and made another steak for me, although the wait was quite long. The second steak arrived cooked right and he did comp out my meal but I can't understand how the kitchen could be that off on the meal."

  • "The only negative would be they are small portions."
    Dined on 12/14/2013
  • "Only negative was problems with the heat. Seemed like furnace turned off but blower/fan remained on making it feel as if the AC was on for a bit (18 degrees outside). Rectified after several people mentioned to mgr but took a bit."
    Dined on 12/13/2013
  • "I've always enjoyed Papa Razzi, but the food and the service were slightly below expectations this time. My mixed greens, tomato, gorgonzola salad was huge, the greens and the tomato very fresh, but the gorgonzola was almost flavorless. One diner had veal parm and it was a bit overdone (the breaded cutlets were black around the edges), but otherwise our selections were delicious. The service was great at the bar and from the hostess, but our waiter was mediocre. He had no patience if people were talking when he returned to the table; if we didn't have instant answers he just walked away saying he'd come back when we were ready, spoke over 2 guests when reciting the specials, etc. Pleasant enough, but could have used some polish."

  • "I eat here about 6 times a year. Never regret going. They take reservations. The food is always good. The interior is open and attractive. What else can you ask for?"
    Dined on 12/7/2013
  • "Had chicken valdostana, which was overcooked - dry and tasteless, with unremarkable and skimpy sides of roasted potatoes and brocolli. A disappointment."
    Dined on 11/26/2013
  • "The food is always exceptional and the atmosphere is perfect. The wait staff is professional -- always an enjoyable evening!"
    Dined on 11/21/2013
  • "We have enjoyed Papa Razzi for many years--good food, nice wine list, a couple good taps. A recent Celiac disease diagnosis has us seeking out gluten-free foods. The waitress was very helpful, checking with managers and the kitchen staff, guiding us to many choices. The kitchen has good procedures for food allergies. Several managers came by to check on us, and the food was great. We'll be back again as regulars."

  • "Food was great when it finally came after an hour and 15 minute wait. So noisy couldn't hear each other even though in a corner. Server was very attentive, but kitchen overwhelmed and restaurant jammed with people waiting. Only came on a saturday as I wanted osso buco, but overall experience not good."
