Diner Reviews
  • "The food and the service were very good. I would definitely go back not only for brunch but also lunch or dinner."

  • "We had a long wait to get our food but the food was great and our waiter was attentive. The portions are smaller now than before, but other than that, quality is pretty much the same. They have scaled back on some services. Also, the napkins smell as though not washed properly."

  • "We are never disappointed when we dine at the Papa Razzi in Burlington. Service is always excellent, and the food has always been good, although rather too salty in recent months. Our last visit was an exception. I couldn't have improved on it a bit. Please keep the Back Bay sangria, bruschetta, calamari, and Insalata di Papa on the menu forever! Even the cappuccino and warm fruit compote were a perfect ending for a perfect meal. Oh, and thank you for the comfortable dining chairs. Too often I end up squirming and impatient to get up and leave, which is not the case here."

  • "When selling a product for public consumption, the concept is only as good as its delivery. At Papa Razzi, it is obvious that execution is high on their list of priorities. The team of chefs work as if they were in a ballet. Their movements (which are many) never seem to interfere with each other. You can tell that this team has spent many a night performing for their customers. The head matrons are as busy as the waiters waiting on tables and checking in on the chefs results. The culture of excellence works its way down to the servers. If you were sit back and watch all the action of the dining room staff you would have to believe something will go wrong. However this would be the only disappointment you may experience at Papa Razzi. "

  • "We were all highly satisfied with both the food and service at Paparazzi. The waitstaff was very attentive to such a large party and all of the meals arrived in a very timely manner. The appetizers were all delicious, and the main courses and desserts as well--especially the chicken dinner and the special frittata. Especially appreciated was the attention paid to our vegetarian diner and our lactose intolerant diner!"

  • "Last two times services has not been as good as in the past. That is one of the reasons why I frequent Papa Razzi so much."

  • "We enjoyed the relaxed setting by the fireplace. The food was great and the service was fantastic."

  • "This is good basic Italian food with a diversified menu. Good for families and again, our wait staff was friendly and supper accommodating."

  • "We had a 7p reservation that we were 10 Minutes late for but I called. We still didn't get seated until 740. Okay fine. There were 7 of us. Tables around us got seated. Everyone ordered. Our food took at least an hour to come out. People seated 20-30 minutes after us were getting their food. Dessert was pretty crummy all around. Not terrible, but I wouldn't go out if my way or plan a special occasion here."

  • "We were seated promptly at the time we had reserved. The restaurant was busy, but our server greeted us promptly and kept close tabs on us throughtout the meal. The food and atmosphere were a cut above the neighborhood pasta spots. Papa Razzi is part of a chain, and you do get that feel to some extent, but they do a lot of things well, and we enoy coming back here a few times a year."

  • "I have had great service each and every time I have dined at Papa Razzi. Our service was horrible, the waiter never put in our food order, he was very inattentive. The manager came over twice, but he never offered coffee or dessert. I will come back because it's always been a favorite, but I hope I don't get that waiter. I would give him a D."

  • "I met my sister inlaw and my husbands Aunt for dinner. Our server was wonderful and out meal was outstanding. Our drinks were perfect. I would go again and will be meeting my friend in this month there again."

  • "I really enjoy the food here and try to keep this place on my list. The brunch was great. French toast, crepes, fruit pizza. all yummy. Cons: how do you run out of mix for brunch drinks so quickly, the coffee cups small and coffee gets cold quick in cold ceremic, our wait person was good when she was available but she took too long to come to the table and never reappeared during the meal."

  • "We have dined here many times over many years, as a OK neighborhood place our kids all worked there..…….on this visit our experience was very poor….service terrible….wait staff unprepared and clumsy…our waitress lacked any knowledge or information relative to available cocktails/drinks and/or how to serve the ….our entrees were delivered before our salad were finished…..bread delivered after salad course…..plates pick up before we finished eating……… management visited our table with apologies even though we did not to complain and we even tried to accommodate this poor unprepared waitress….unfair situation for her… Not sure what is going on but will not go back for a long time if at all….food was OK"

  • "We were seated at the bar side and that was fine! We overheard our waiter commenting to another table nearby that they were short staffed. You could definitely tell. We waited 1/2 hour for water and then another 20 minutes to give our wine order. Another 1/2 hour later, we finally ordered. There was a mix up on the vegetables. My friend got my vegetables and I got hers. We told the waiter and he apologized and shortly after the manager came to the table and offered dessert on him because of the mix up. As we finished our last bite of our dinners, finally the right vegetables came. Totally ridiculous of the amount of time we waited overall."

  • "I have only dined at the Burlington location but always find the food and service superb Nice atmosphere although on weekends can be a bit loud I recommend their Risotto with mushrooms and chicken."

  • "Papa Razzi is a long-standing meeting place for my friends and I. The food is good, the prices reasonable, the staff wonderful, and they are lovely to medium sized groups who laugh and linger for hours. No dirty looks here! You can always count on classic Itslian fare and one or two newer items to satisfy!"

  • "A group of four "old" friends met here for lunch/brunch recently. None of us had been there before ... but believe me that will not be our last time at Papa Razzi! Everything about our dining experience was great; we loved it! Our server was so personable and knowledgeable. We were happily surprised to find that brunch was being served as well as lunch (it was a Saturday!). We were thrilled with the complimentary mimosa/bellini. And while 3 out of 4 of us opted for the brunch, we all decided "next time" we will give the lunch/dinner menu a try as everything looked really good. For the record, I had the best French Toast I have ever had, complete with a healthy serving of deliciously fresh fruit! We will definitely be back soon again! :D"

  • "Waited a while at the table before waitress came over.. She said "Oh sorry, didn't know someone was sitting here!" Got the special Veal picata which was not good, too tangy for my taste. The Risotto was good! Woudn't go back!"

  • "If your looking for a pretty romantic dinner spot for valentines day or any special occasion this is the place to go, conviently located right off the highway. it's a great spot, with great food and a very friendly atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to take my girlfriend, with a nice wine and drink list and food that was spot on. The one nice thing had to be everything wasnt overpriced just becasue of valentines day, and the selection of food was also pretty good. To sum it all up i would definetly go back to papa razzi anytime, great food, service, and experience."

  • "We were lucky to get a reservation on Valentine's Day, thank you to the restaurant for that! Having said that, it was very busy. We were squished in, so that the restaurant can seat as many people as possible, the couple sitting next to us were very close to us, thus create a "non-romantic" meal. However, the food was very good, and our waitress was efficient. It's a good place to go, I'm not sure it's a great place to go for a special occasion."

  • "Over the past few years... Paparazzi's has really improved and become a consistently a very good bet for dinner for any occasion. Affordable quality."

  • "This restaurant did an amazing job. We went with our 2 year old son and they did a great job. They brought his food out as soon as it was ready and brought him extra straws to play with. Even though it was a busy night they handled my food allergy to shellfish amazingly and also made my husband's dish shellfish free so we could share!"

  • "My sister and I brought my mother here for brunch and it was absolutely wonderful. It was nice and quiet and we sat near the fire which made the ambience even better. We would definitely come back again. The steak and lobster was a bit disappointing but the rest of the food was great. We had a great time with great conversation, great service and good food."

  • "That's the last time that we ate at Paparazzi was 5 years ago when we visited Boston. We were afraid that it may have gone down hill but NOT the case. The service was great. It was an upbeat, energetic crowd. Some great prices for some great wines, minimal markup. The Calamari was very good. The Veal Scaloppini was amazing. The best that we've had in years. Stuffed Shrimp was excellent. Was not impressed with the Salmon. Skip that."

  • "I was with my husband and 13 year son. My son ordered the sirloin steak and loved it, but was not aware that a lemon sauce came on top of the steak and that took away from the steak - my son is picky!!! One other glitch, when asked if we would like dessert - the waitress told us about her favorite which was the chocolate cake followed by a glass of the Godiva white chocolate liqueur. As a family we agreed on splitting the chocolate - as we were so full!! When the cake and liqueur was brought to the table, the waitress poured the liqueur on the cake!! I think we just looked in amazement and didn't know what to say!! My son is 13 and could not eat the cake!! We never said anything - but should have. Delicious and would definitely come back!!"

  • "Never knew they served brunch, but nw that I do, I will definitely return. Food was excellent, especially the Bruschetta. I would not order the Tenderloin Benedict again - very blah sauce and lacking in flavor. Noticed the nice big patio and already thinking how nice it would be to have brunch out there."

  • "We have been here many times. I made a reservation and asked for a booth in a certain area. We checked in and the hostess said they were just clearing a booth for us. She got distracted and gave our booth to someone else. They gave us a table which was OK, but not what we requested. Service was slow. We sat without bread for quite a long time. We asked for black olives in the pasta and we got calamari olives which are quite different and ruined the pasta for us. Don't know why an Italian restaurant is using greek olives anyway. The manager did offer us a free dessert. The apples were bitter and so were the strawberries and they were in water! glad we didn't pay for it. Disappointed in general."

  • "Went to Papa Razzi on Saturday night . Got seated with direct eye site of the kitchen by 5:50 pm, my wife and two children . The waitress quickly greeted us and took drink orders and app order, grilled shrimp over spinach. We were served drinks within 5 minutes and placed our dinner order at 6:05 pm. We ordered 2 kids pizzas, a salad with shrimp and a pasta plate. That is where the meal went down hill. Appetizer took 20 minutes to arrive at 6:25 pm Waitress said "they just got a table of 27". The kitchen was very hectic. At 6:50 pm, the manager stopped by and said he was putting a rush on our food.. Finally served us food at 7:05 pm. Don't go on a Sat Night. They are too busy. Sunday brunch is less busy."

  • "This restaurant used to be so much better all around, but it has fallen short during my last two visits. In both cases there were large corporate parties happening on the second floor, which I think attributes to the poor service and the lack of attention. It took about an hour for our food to come to the table and when I asked my server where our food was she seemed surprised that I would ask. I ordered the chicken scallopine, which used to be so great but now tastes like it came out of a freezer and stuck in a fryer, then doused with a lackluster, butter laden sauce. It's gross. I think the management needs to decide if it wants to focus attention on bringing in the corporate dollars or pleasing everyday diners."

  • "Went to dinner to celebrate a birthday. Service was good. Veal scallopene, which we both had, was so dry & burnt on the edges that it ruined dinner. No one asked why we weren't eating the veal. Would not go back anytime soon."

  • "We had a great team dinner at Papa Razzi again this year. I had to change the number in the party at the last minute and it was handled efficiently and with a smile. Our group included some special diets and everyone found a delicious option or two. The service throughout the meal was excellent."
