  • "This was a great environment for cocktail and dinners outside. Service was excellent and food was very good. The outdoor seating was perhaps too close together but this particular evening it did not interfere as the restaurant was not overly crowded."

  • "I went to Paolo's with my boyfriend for our usual Friday night dinner. We try to hit a new place every week. Paolo's was great. The only reason I rated the food at very good and not outstanding was my entree (a breaded chicken dish, sorry I can't recall the name) was on the oily side. He raved about his pork medallions, our calamari was fantastic, the bread sticks were lovely. I'm sure that if I had mentioned the oiliness to our server she would have had it remade for me, however I'm just not one to complain, and the flavor was nice. We got to dine outside on their patio and it had a great atmosphere, great for a date night or family outing!"

  • "As we are in the Baltimore area, we thought that all Paolo's locations were gone. We were headed for Wolf Trap and discovered that they are still in the DC area! We had loved their food, and excited to get the chance to dine again. It was an early dinner, so not crowded. Our sever was fantastic. I think we scared him with how excited we were to eat, an it did not disappoint! The menu has changed in the few years since we last dined at Pailo's, but the food was still great from start to finish. Thank you Paolo's!"

  • "We haven't been here for 15 years. Back them it was one of our favorite places. Based on the food, we won't go back again. Bad wine choices by the glass (unless you like the paying a lot for cheap wine). My son had the meatballs. Just gross. Sauce gross, and not sure if it really was meat because it was gross. I had the chicken cutlet. The cutlet was fried with he texture of a potato pancake. It would have been good on bread as part of a hero, but it was served over some sad Italian dressing. Gross. My wife wanted the Paolos Salad, and ordered the Muscles Appetizer. Well the Muscles never showed, and she said the dressing was just bad and couldn't eat the salad. Got a free desert, but didn't offer coffee."

  • "We were seated quickly and comfortably and immediately greeted by such a pleasant and friendly waiter. She was knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. Our order was correct, fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. We were served a refill on the wonderfully tasty seasoned bread sticks and tapenade. We enjoyed the seafood salad and steak salad and will return."

  • "I'd never heard of this place before and only went to it because I was looking for somewhere in the Town Center that didn't seem like it was a chain restaurant. It's kind of tucked back in the corner across from Clyde's so it's a little hard to see the sign from the street, which is why I've never noticed it before. I had the lasagna bolognese which was EXCELLENT. I was so surprised at how good everyone in my group's good was. The Cyrene brule for desert was also very very good. The calamari appetizer was only ok for me. It came with buffalo sauce instead of marinara sauce which was a little weird to me given that this is an Italian restaurant, but it was ok."

  • "The best italian food ever. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are good. The double pepperoni pizza was superb_the crust was crispy_right amount of sauce and the 3 varieties of pepperoni had good flavor and just the right amount of spices."

  • "First, the quality of the food and the choices were awesome. The prix-fixe is the only way to go. Truffle risotto, espresso-rubbed skirt steak, stuffed prosciutto, all of it was simply divine. The brunch is not a cattle-call buffet, but rather served in courses like tapas. My advice is to take your time, go with a large party, sample everything you can and your Sunday AM will be divine."

  • "It's been a few years since we've been to Paolo's, but it is better than ever. It was a very busy Saturday night, but the service was still very good. Our waiter was attentive and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The risotto was very creamy and the gnocchi were light and the truffle flavor was just right. The desserts were fabulous! All in all, it was a nice Saturday night out."

  • "I went there with my family for my daughter's birthday. We sat outside; it was the first weekend of the Reston Concerts on the Town series. The band playing was a Beatles cover-band. So, we had great music. The food was good; however my porkchop was cooked a little too much. The service was great. The only thing that could be better was if the table was bigger. It was a table really meant for two adults, and we had 3 adults, 1 child and 1 baby crammed around the table. It made it very hard to have all the dishes on the table without some acrobatics."

  • "Have not been here in a couple of years and went for the outdoor dining…however new menu and great experience from the food, service and our waiter Kevin was friendly and knowledgeable. We both had the meatball pasta dish…was delicious. "

  • "The Mother's Day brunch was expensive and nothing special. The food was cold and didn't have much flavor. The waiter was very nice and helpful, but the hostesses were very aloof and obnoxious. "

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed Easter Brunch. A few healthy low fat vegetable options would have been great but it was worth $32."

  • "It had been several years since we went to Paolo's Easter Brunch, but this year we went ant it was great! They had new items on the buffet menu, and there was plenty to choose from. Sampled lots of stuff, and there wasn't anything bad on my plate. I noticed everyone else in my party finished up all of their food too. I would recommend attending this special brunch, but plan ahead. Reservations fill up fast the week before Easter."

  • "The service was excellent and the complimentary fresh, warm bread sticks and tapenade were wonderful. A little pricey yet comparable to others in the Reston Town Center."

  • "I travel to Reston every 2-3 weeks on business and always make it a point to eat at Paolo's when I'm there. This past week my wife came with me to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival and she wanted to try Paolo's too. We had a wonderful meal (Spaghetti and Meatballs). When the chef checked in we struck up a conversation and he brought a variation on his typical meatballs to compare. Made the night memorable. Paolo's is consistently good and is reasonably priced, especially when compared to others in the Reston Town Center."

  • "A party of 4 from work in northern VA had a wonderful meal at Paolo's. The espresso steak salad was terrific (don't let the name fool you... I'm not a coffee lover, but this was fabulous). From the soups to the meals, pasta dishes (and fresh grated parmesan cheese) as well as the fabulous donuts for dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our service was great too."

  • "Me and my wife had dined here for dinner before, and finally decided to try the brunch. Great choice. The food was excellent & the service outstanding. A nice variety of Italian dishes on the menu and if you come hungry, well worth the "all-u-can eat" price. For a small additional price you can enjoy the "all-u-can drink" option too. If you have just two drinks, you make out on the cost. Although, wouldn't recommend the bloody mary. In fact, that was the only thing we could say wasn't fantastic. We definitely will be back. The decor is nice and atmosphere pleasant. They have a nice outside eating area around a fountain too. This time we dined in as it was cold out. Long story short, great food and service and highly recommend the brunch."

  • "It has been over a year since I last dined at Paolo's in Reston Town Center. In that timeframe the menu has changed and the prices have increased. Fortunately the quality of the food and good customer service have pretty much remained the same. I will definitely return to this restaurant."
    Dined on 3/31/2014
  • "I dined there with my daughter a few weeks ago. The server brought out the wrong order twice and then gave us the wrong bill as well. The food is marginal at best and the decor has not been touched in at least 15 years. There is better Italian in a box at the super market."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "Waiter was more careful about telling us exactly how the chef will prepare each entree than the chef was actually preparing each entree."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "We went on a Friday evening and the noise was deafening. The food was fair. The service was very good. We don't plan to return."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "The level of noise was too much for a decent conversation. One had to shout to be heard. Our waiter was what I would call a hustler. He poured the entire first bottle of wine into four glasses and immediately asked if I wanted another bottle."
    Dined on 3/6/2014
  • "Paolo's is still pretty good, but not quite the upscale Italian place it used to be, though you wouldn't know it from the prices. Our salads had good ingredients, but were not exactly inspired. The shrimp risotto was good, but we suspect the beef in the beef ragout was frozen. Service was OK if a little inexperienced."
    Dined on 3/2/2014
  • "Salmon was great. Caesar salad too much dressing, seemed not fresh. Service excellent. Ambiance, good except a bit noisy."

  • "We chose this restaurant at random, I would say it is more a bar with a restaurant attached. The waiter was very helpful, allowing me to taste the different wines. You will receive soft Breadsticks and Olive Dip whilst you wait. The starters were very tasty, but the mains were not great. My husband had the Medallions & they were cooked to perfection, however you don't get a lot of it, I had the chicken Pizza & was very disappointed they used thigh of the chicken meat I would much prefer they use Chicken Breast as this gives the pizza a fresh taste. The Red Velvet cake was out of this world! So Theres good & bad points. The Bar is very busy, seems young & vibrant, I would definitely go back for a drink. Just maybe not for the food."

  • "Mixed feelings about this establishment. Service was very good. Regarding food, the breadsticks were very good as was the fettuccine carbonara. My wife had the minestrone soup and shrimp risotto. Both very good. The downside of the meal was the caesar salad. We went to Paolo's for lunch and the salad tasted bitter, looking as if it was leftover from the previous evening. If not for the salad, i would have given 4 stars for the food."

  • "Finally food that actually tastes Italian. Great atmosphere with lots of options on the Brunch menu or you can do the unlimited Brunch and choose multiple items (as many as you like) and they come served as small plates so that you can taste several items."

  • "I was able to book a 9:30pm reservation at 3:00pm on Valentiine's Day. I was happily surprised with the special occasion menu and their availability. The restaurant was a bit loud for my liking, but overall, the experience was enjoyable."

  • "The menu of the evening was awesome. We had a great date night."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "They seemed a bit understaffed for a traditionally very busy night, and unfortunately our waiter forgot about us all evening. Our water glasses remained empty until we pointed them out, and after waiting 30min for the waiter to return to run our credit card (while we sat with no food and water just looking around for someone to notice us), he returned the payed-bill and promptly walked away with out a word.. EXTREMELY RUDE, ON VALENTINES DAY?! In terms of food, their fryer broke and we were told our calamari would be just a few minutes longer, which was correct, but it would have been better if they had not brought us anything. The squid itself was tender, but the fry was soggy and actually pretty gross. The food was in general over salted."
