  • "I travel to Reston every 2-3 weeks on business and always make it a point to eat at Paolo's when I'm there. This past week my wife came with me to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival and she wanted to try Paolo's too. We had a wonderful meal (Spaghetti and Meatballs). When the chef checked in we struck up a conversation and he brought a variation on his typical meatballs to compare. Made the night memorable. Paolo's is consistently good and is reasonably priced, especially when compared to others in the Reston Town Center."

  • "Me and my wife had dined here for dinner before, and finally decided to try the brunch. Great choice. The food was excellent & the service outstanding. A nice variety of Italian dishes on the menu and if you come hungry, well worth the "all-u-can eat" price. For a small additional price you can enjoy the "all-u-can drink" option too. If you have just two drinks, you make out on the cost. Although, wouldn't recommend the bloody mary. In fact, that was the only thing we could say wasn't fantastic. We definitely will be back. The decor is nice and atmosphere pleasant. They have a nice outside eating area around a fountain too. This time we dined in as it was cold out. Long story short, great food and service and highly recommend the brunch."

  • "I dined there with my daughter a few weeks ago. The server brought out the wrong order twice and then gave us the wrong bill as well. The food is marginal at best and the decor has not been touched in at least 15 years. There is better Italian in a box at the super market."

  • "A party of 4 from work in northern VA had a wonderful meal at Paolo's. The espresso steak salad was terrific (don't let the name fool you... I'm not a coffee lover, but this was fabulous). From the soups to the meals, pasta dishes (and fresh grated parmesan cheese) as well as the fabulous donuts for dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our service was great too."

  • "It has been over a year since I last dined at Paolo's in Reston Town Center. In that timeframe the menu has changed and the prices have increased. Fortunately the quality of the food and good customer service have pretty much remained the same. I will definitely return to this restaurant."

  • "We chose this restaurant at random, I would say it is more a bar with a restaurant attached. The waiter was very helpful, allowing me to taste the different wines. You will receive soft Breadsticks and Olive Dip whilst you wait. The starters were very tasty, but the mains were not great. My husband had the Medallions & they were cooked to perfection, however you don't get a lot of it, I had the chicken Pizza & was very disappointed they used thigh of the chicken meat I would much prefer they use Chicken Breast as this gives the pizza a fresh taste. The Red Velvet cake was out of this world! So Theres good & bad points. The Bar is very busy, seems young & vibrant, I would definitely go back for a drink. Just maybe not for the food."

  • "Mixed feelings about this establishment. Service was very good. Regarding food, the breadsticks were very good as was the fettuccine carbonara. My wife had the minestrone soup and shrimp risotto. Both very good. The downside of the meal was the caesar salad. We went to Paolo's for lunch and the salad tasted bitter, looking as if it was leftover from the previous evening. If not for the salad, i would have given 4 stars for the food."

Time seems to have pasted Paolos by, while Clydes still is consistent with their quality of food and service my Valentine'Day Dinner at Paolos will probably be my last. From $17 dollar martinis to very average entrees ...pasta dish was dry and my wife's veal was very greasey. We were totally disapointed. And this was the restaurant were my wife and I first dined together some 21 years ago, so needless to say it was quite a let down . R. Goode"

  • "They seemed a bit understaffed for a traditionally very busy night, and unfortunately our waiter forgot about us all evening. Our water glasses remained empty until we pointed them out, and after waiting 30min for the waiter to return to run our credit card (while we sat with no food and water just looking around for someone to notice us), he returned the payed-bill and promptly walked away with out a word.. EXTREMELY RUDE, ON VALENTINES DAY?! In terms of food, their fryer broke and we were told our calamari would be just a few minutes longer, which was correct, but it would have been better if they had not brought us anything. The squid itself was tender, but the fry was soggy and actually pretty gross. The food was in general over salted."

  • "Was an odd experience...an employee was running behind us as we approached the door of the restaurant. He rushed in front of us as we entered, welcomed and seated us. Ok...then, he introduced himself as our server. Nothing "bad" about this, but very strange. He actually took pretty good care of us, but I just didn't understand the division of duties and why he was just arriving (coming back?) to the restaurant at the same time we were. Carbonara was good. Lasagna was so-so, too much cheese and not enough red sauce or meat. We've only been here once or twice before with similar "not impressed" reactions. This most recent time the place was mostly empty so we thought food might be particularly fresh and tasty, but it was just ok."

  • "What I wish hadn't happened was me forgetting to take my "doggie bag" home with the rest of my Scallops Risotto and the other half of my birthday dessert (tiramisu, my favorite!!). How could I have done such a thing? Maybe it was the 2 glasses of wine that mellowed me or the fact that I was pleasantly full from a scrumptious dinner or maybe it was my enthusiasm to get outside and walk around the area. Who knows?? Guess I will now make a point to return for an encore, and this time remember my eats!! Thanks for a lovely birthday celebration!"

  • "Food overall quite good. Scallop risotto excellent. A few minor hiccups: spoiled balsamic vinegar quickly replaced. Caesar salad too salty. Kids spaghetti portion was smaller than expected and/or should have some type of side vegetable (but they loved it). Wait service was less than desired. Obviously busy with a couple other tables around us, he got to us late and seemed reluctant to take our entire order at once. We also ordered a nice red wine which was served unexpectedly in a small white wine glass. Most disappointing was that our special request for a birthday dessert went unfulfilled. It was my wife's birthday and I told the restaurant how to spell her name and her favorite dessert. Alas nothing special when the dessert came."

  • "We've eaten at Paolo's many times and never been disappointed. My husband had a salmon dish and I had Shrimp Scampi both of which were very good. We each had a glass of wine and enjoyed them. The wait staff were all in Halloween costumes which added to the fun and happy atmosphere."

  • "There were so many groups there (teens and such) that it was so incredibly loud it was really hard to have a good adult discussion. It's never been this loud or with this many large groups before. Probably would have chosen another restaurant if had had any idea. Food was good and waitress was very respectful of giving us time since we weren't in a hurry.."
