Diner Reviews
  • "Had a fantastic dining experience, five great courses with a flight of wine, two of the courses were food I really do not like that well, but they were extremely tasty. It costs a few bucks but the food, wine, and service were outstanding. A dining experience, totally satisfied."

  • "awesome always a treat to see what the chef has created."

  • "Short but powerful menu...everything was good that we tried. Brussels Sprouts and grilled Caesar salad stood out for starters, nice advancement of Northern Italian dishes. Waiter's suggestions were very helpful and accurate. Good energy in the restaurant. Liked that they had local beer selection. Would definitely recommend and revisit."

  • "We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday at Panzano on Thursday. The staff made the whole experience feel very special and the food was phenomenal! Top marks."

  • "This was my 3rd time at Panzano over the last few years. This meal was slightly disappointing. There was a lack of seasoning on some of the dishes. I got the carbonara which I've had before and I could barely taste the black pepper. I previously thought it was a top notch carbonara. Eggplant was cooked well but again, lacking flavor. Since I've had mostly good meals here, I will go back again. However, I won't recommend it anymore until I go back and verify if my last outing was an aberration. To be clear, this was not a bad meal, just not up to bar the restaurant had previously set"

  • "I had previously been to Panzano's to take a cooking class from their executive chef Elise Wiggins which was excellent. This was my basis for taking my friend their for her birthday. We went for a Sunday brunch (breakfast and lunch were available). My friend ordered breakfast of the menu and truly enjoyed her omelette. I decided to have lunch and ordered a Caesar Salad and the Cheese and Eggplant pizza. The Caesar Salad was fantastic. The Cheese and Eggplant Pizza appeared to be very greasy but I assumed it was due to the cheese on it. I had a few slices and took the remainder home. In reheating it as a leftover, it tasted ok, but it was still extremely greasy - more so than a usual pizza."

  • "I have had both Brunch and Lunch at Panzano and there was consistent quality on the food, service and ambiance. I know that whenever I am there with a business associate or my family, they will enjoy the experience."

  • "I have been to Panzano's several times. The food and service is not simply consistently excellent; it seems to improve each time. Imagine improvement on a restaurant that is already an A+. I took a foodie friend with me and she was just stunned at how good everything was. AND, the server was lovely and very knowledgeable!"

  • "Maybe it was the B crew but one night dinner at the bar (same food as restaurant) and one brunch were not great as we had expected from other reviews. Generally over-rated."

  • "I cannot give a higher recommendation for a restaurant. Every detail - from a friendly, efficient proffesional staff to impeccably prepared and drink lead to a perfect evening, and a totally enjoyable experience. The food is un- rivaled and the staff is - to a person overly helpful and highly proffesional. I have found my new favorite restaurant."

  • "We were headed for the theater and arrived two hours before our show time. Unfortunately, we were pressed for time, but the service was terrific. Our waiter, Dimitri, was excellent and knowledgeable. My entree was the eggplant which was unremarkable, but the rest of our party were very pleased with their choices. I would return and try other items. We have eaten breakfast there and that is truly outstanding."

  • "Great food with particularly attentive service. Two members of our group are extremely particular eaters and were well accommodated without any drama. In addition, I had to adjust our reservation as our group shrank in number then expanded back up. Again, no drama, great cheer and we were accommodated. And the food! The grilled romaine salad, roasted oysters, pasta, all cannot miss."

  • "Our food was so well prepared and presented. We all chose the Chef's Tour because it was 5 courses for a very reasonable price! Delicious! Our wait staff was so attentive and engaging he clearly earned his well deserved tip! Great time was had by all 6 of us!"

  • "Great options and pairings of food made the meal fantastic."

  • "The 4 of us had a great dining experience. It started with the delectable brussel sprouts. Nobody should pass up the sprouts. The butternut squash ravioli was dessert for dinner. Mmmmm! Other than one of the lamb chops being fatty and grisly, the rest of the meals were very nicely done."

  • "The chef tasting menu is highly recommended, especially with the wine pairing. I am not a fan of tiramisu usually but the one at Panzano was absolutely delicious - light and not too sweet."
    Dined on 3/30/2014
  • "I went with a friend and both of us are gluten free, and we had a great meal. The gluten free focacia was the best I have had. It is rare to find gluten free that was soft and light. The brussel sprout appetizer was perfect, we had to force ourselves to not finish it to save room for our pizza. I highly recommend it for gluten free diners."

  • "Grilled Caesar was good, but would have like a little more tartness to the dressing. Butternut squash ravioli was very nice. Loved the Brusells Sprouts appetizer, but think the sprouts could have been a bit fresher. Panzano is a wonderful place to dine and we always enjoy it."

  • "Went here on a whim with several out of town guests. While the menu is not straight Italian, it does have deliciously unique takes on Italian food. I can't wait to find an excuse to go back!"

  • "My first experience with Panzano's came several years ago when I was trapped in downtown Denver for two extra days due to a blizzard. As a result, I ate three meals in a row there and the truth is I would happily have gone back again. They may not have invented the Grilled Caesar Salad, but their's was the first I had and it is still wonderful. Their roasted brussel sprouts are not to be missed even if you think you don't like brussel sprouts. Too many restaurants fade with time. So far Panzano is as bright as ever."

  • "My wife and I had not dined outside for a while and we decided to take a break and do so over the weekend. Now, we were hesitant to experiment wildly given we both (a) are vegetarians and (b) have sensitive constitutions. When we looked Panzano up, it looked like a decent place that served up Italian food. Given that they had vegetarian options on the menu, we considered this a a "safe" choice. The experience, however, was nothing short of mind-blowing. It really transformed our expectation on what good dining should be. We would not, in a million years, describe what we experienced as "Italian Food". It was food and flavor re-imagined. Let me just say that this experience would rank about 15 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being best possible)."

  • "We were disappointed in the menu selections. No special entries. Out of several items on menu. It's a thin menu anyway, so out of a item or two makes you wonder what's going on in the kitchen. The shoulder of lamb was all bone with very little meat. The ravioli was medicore, presentation was flawed. After three years of taking guests from out of town to Panzano, afraid we will start looking for another good Italian restaurant in Denver. One exception to the questionable evening was the excellent service by the waiter and rest of staff. Hope it gets better."

  • "We had a lovely lunch during a convention. Great service. We forgot some stuff and the restaurant staff was extremely helpful in retrieving it."

  • "Our party of four was well taken care of upon entering. Bar service while waiting for the 5pm opening was ok. The food was very good. Our primary waiter had a good disposition but ignored our table on at least two occasions. Not that we were in a hurry, which would have been even worse, but we were left sitting with menus for at least 20 minutes and could not catch his eye. I sent another waiter after him to little avail. No apology when he finally got to us. He left a lingering bad feeling with our group that could have been avoided on his part."

  • "The food at Panzano's was very, very good ... and the service was truly top notch!"

  • "The food was innovative and excellent. Had broiled oysters, grilled caesar salad, brussel sprouts, and a new pasta dish of beet ravioli. Had tiramisu for dessert. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced."

  • "Panzano's has long been one of our favorite restaurants in Denver. We took two business advisers from Ohio there and were very pleased with everything. Brian, our server, was outstanding and the food lived up to my accolades. We were seated in a booth at the rear of the restaurant at my request which was quiet and we could hold a business discussion. I couldn't have been more pleased."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed a much needed getaway to the city which included a stay at the Monaco, a very fun visit to the bar for happy hour, and a fabulous dinner at Panzano that first evening. Great service, innovative and delicious entrees, and Panzano"s own signature small batch bourbon cocktail was delightful. Thank you everyone for a fun and relaxing weekend"

  • "I've had several business lunches at panzanos. Each has been a wonderful experience. From the very gracious, but not stuffy, hostess to the incredible bread to the really wonderful food--it is, indeed a special place. Now I want my husband to take me there for dinner!!"

  • "Panzano is a great Italian restaurant in LoDo and I enjoyed having dinner very much. The service was very personal and made sure my date and I were set to go when we had to leave for a comedy show. They also were able to set aside a nice window side table with a nice view for our romantic evening."

  • "We love eating out but it can be difficult with my special dietary needs. I am soy, pork, dairy & gluten free. I love that panzanos has well educated staff. Friendly & willing to work with my needs! We will be back! Ps we've enjoyed their happy hour for years!"

  • "I had a wonderful birthday party at Panzano...waitress Lori made it extra special and simply perfect! Thank you so very much and YES, I will be back for more...pasta, wine, dessert, cocktails,................................................"

  • "We read reviews online and thought panzano's would be great, but were seriously disappointed. My husband had the five course Chef's choice while I had the eggplant. Children had the scallops and pasta with marinara sauce. All lacked flavor. My husband's third course was meatballs with tortellini, which was bland and the tortellini was not cooked all the way, they were tough. The waiter was great, knowledgable and friendly. He was the only highlight of the evening."

  • "The staff bends over backward for the client. Waiter really knew his stuff. Wine list and food superb. Presentation was perfect; right down to a special birthday cake baked 2 hours before on site ( 3 birthdays to celebrate) It was so good we ate there two nights out of three."

  • "On our first trip ever to Denver, we stayed at a downtown hotel which was very close to Panzano. Enjoyed a very nice dinner. Bar selections were nice and varied. Appetizers were very interesting. Our meal was very good with these particular items on the edge of outstanding: roasted Brussel sprouts, carrot soup, salmon and perhaps the best sorbets we've ever had! Thank you for any enjoyable meal and evening!"
