We have made 3 trips to Denver recently but unfortunately didn't find Panzano until our second visit. But we made up for lost time by dining there at least 6 or 7 times! It is very Celiac-friendly with many gluten free options. The grilled Caesar salad is amazing! All the pasta dishes are excellent. The gluten-free pizza is scrumptious. And the gluten-free cannoli dessert is not to be missed! While all the servers are very good, Dimitri is our favorite.

Panzano's is a local jewel. Set at the base of Hotel Monaco on 17th Street in Downtown Denver, this Northern Italian restaurant delivers unique, bold flavors, and a dining experience that delivers every time. We typically frequent on Friday nights because their daily special is the porterhouse steak. This cut is right up there with the best steaks available. It is all about the flavor which is on point. The mashed potatoes are puree style and simple, and complement the flavor of the steak. Their pasta dishes are usually good, but small portions. One note - the Garganelli con Pollo was overpowering with smoky flavor. Other than that one note, the food at Panzano's has consistently lived up to our expectations for fine dining.

Had a delightful anniversary dinner - this is becoming our annual anniversary spot. The service was outstanding, food was wonderful, and we were treated royally all the way through dinner and dessert. The chef's tasting menu was a great idea - each dish was exquisite. We highly recommend Panzano for special occasions and for a delicious meal anytime.

We had out of town guests. Wanted to give them a "downtown" experience. Rode Light Rail to Union Station, toured it, Mall Shuttle to Champa, ate here and took other Light Rail home. They were very impressed but mostly with the meal. We had great entrees and everyone liked everything so much we each shared. The Brussel Sprouts appetizer is to die for and 2 of us hate them usually. Flavors are exceptional and plates were presented very well. Wait staff was patient and honest in describing the menu. Great guidance. Prices are usual for downtown restaurants but value was far in excess over the big chain Italian restaurants, including the one downtown.

We had a wonderful experience at Panzano's with my sister and her family from out of town. It just happens that they were staying at the Hotel Monaco upstairs, and we recalled that we had a great time last September for my birthday dinner. Great recommendations by our server, Brian, and we felt relaxed, never rushed, and all was well.

We had to move our table tfrom the front area because of the noise level to a booth in the back. It didn't make any difference. It was loud and noisy. The waiter and the bus boy were terrible. Not enough help. We had cocktails. Part of the drinks came out quick but one of the guests never received his drink. The food was fine. The wine was decanter but the waiter never poured the wine. Twice I poured the wine. I tried to motion the bus boy to pour the wine and he didn't understand. We will never return.

This is our downtown Denver go-to restaurant and we are never disappointed. Recently we went to celebrate our 30th anniversary, which I noted on our reservation. We were greeted with a complimentary champagne. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts with green apple for appetizer—almost brought tears to our eyes it was so delicious. Hubster had salmon on a potato cake, I had the lamb ragout which came with big, wide, house made noodles. Yum! The waiter comped one of our desserts. The service was excellent, noise level nice and low, booth was cozy. We just love this place. We almost always go here for their special New Years Eve dinner when we go downtown to watch the fireworks.

Panzano is consistently good year after year. Recently had brunch on a Sunday and found a typically innovative menu including eggs Benedict served over polenta cakes, rabbit hash with unbelievably fresh fried eggs, etc. Very well presented, extremely tasty and not over the top expensive (food for three without drinks was a bit less than $60. The service was prompt, friendly and effective and the ambience is classic old hotel dining room.

This was our first time dining here - we chose it for the celebration of my 18th birthday, because I was craving creme brulee and italian. The restaurant was perfect for that. It was pricey, so we won't dine here frequently, but for special occasions it's just perfect. The waitress recommended their brusselsprout appetizer, and when we said no, she still brought out a sample for each of us to try. It was lovely service, and I do think next time I'll order the whole appetizer of that - I was very impressed. :)

After staying at the Kimpton a few months ago, we stopped into Panzano for breakfast. It was so yummy that when asked where he would like to celebrate his birthday, my husband asked that we go back to Panzano to celebrate with friends. The atmosphere was lively, with friendly, welcoming staff and a great mix of diners, thanks to the hotel bringing out of town visitors. From the braised Brussels sprouts starter to the delicious bucatini puttanesca pasta special, Panzano served up a tasty and memorable dinner. For the complimentary birthday dessert, our server recommended the butterscotch pudding for dessert, and we loved every bite of the dulce de leche goodness!

I made a reservation for Panzano through OpenTable for our anniversary dinner. I noted in the comments section that it was our anniversary. Not everywhere acknowledges this but I like to put it anyway just in case! I always say it doesn't take much for a restaurant to make you feel special on a special day and Panzano definitely did that. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive the whole time and brought us champagne right away to say Happy Anniversary. The manager brought out an amouse bouche (sp?) for us to try on the house. We settled on the 5 course tasting menu and it was delicious! It was calamari, arugula salad, carbonara pasta (amazing!), veal piccata, and tiramisu. We left happy and completely stuffed!

I took my clients here for a business lunch because I had heard good reviews about the food. I had requested for a quiet table as it was a business lunch, but I quickly learned upon walking in that this is a loud restaurant. We had to raise our voices over the table to hear each other. Would recommend somewhere quieter like the Edge at the Four Seasons for a quieter option.

This was such a wonderful surprise ... One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to (and I've been to a lot, growing up in NJ). I could not improve on a single thing, both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Don't miss the mushroom crepe appetizer,,and their veal was the tenderest I've had in a restaurant in years. Save room for dessert too. My firm just opened an office a few blocks away and this will be a regular stop when I return to Denver.

I've been going to Panzano's for over 10 years and have never received bad service until this past Sunday. The waitress was short, abrupt and rude. She avoided coming to our table for long periods of time and seemed annoyed with us each time she came over. The service at Panzano's is always so impeccable that I was taken off guard by her attitude. I will continue to frequent this restaurant, however, we did have to convince our guests that this was not what we had come to expect and to give it another chance in the future.

It's hard to make Italian great, at least that has been my experience. Both the service and the food at Panzano were excellent. They even had hot hostesses (shockingly.) My only complaint is that the wine list was pretty corporate run of the mill stuff without much in the way of exploration. I was told after the fact they have a few off list bottles in back, but wasn't made aware of that by the waiter. All in all, an excellent meal. I'd say just bring your own bottle, but in Colorado that is still illegal.
