The service was excellent, and our waiter did a great job of pacing the meal and making recommendations for each course. I really enjoyed the mushroom crepes as an appetizer, and my wife's scallop dish was excellent. The price was a bit high in comparison to the quality, but I left the meal very satisfied.

Recent lunch for 3 at Panzano's was terrific! We all started with the amazing brussel sprouts which are not to be missed! DH. Had seafood stew - outstanding. Pasta and salad s were delicious and beautifully presented. We only had an hour before we had to leave for the airport. Our server understood and was extremely helpful! Can't wait to go back!,

at this restaurant which is located in the Hotel Monaco. I was skeptical since it was in hotel but the experience was just that of a fabulous restaurant. To start with our server was extremely personable without it seeming forced. We enjoyed his general talk as well as his food recommendations. Our food was excellent and served in a timely. I would give this restaurant 5 stars and will definitely go back again.

The appetizers, main course and desserts were all first class. I have Celiac, and they have a fantastic gluten-free selection. They are very aware of what it means to have to be truly gluten-free, and they go out of their way to be accommodating. They even have gluten-free bread that was fantastic (a rare find indeed)! The service was first class, and the attention to detail was impressive. I definite "must return" for me. I recommend Panzano without a doubt.

Panzano is that rare restaurant that stays consistently great, rather than resting on its reputation. A recent visit reminded me why I love this place so much. Sitting at the exhibition kitchen watching Chef Vincent leading the line is a lot like watching the conductor of a great orchestra. There's no drama in this kitchen, just the sense of camaraderie and mutual respect that's established by good leaders like Chefs Elise and Vincent. The grouper over spätzle was simply sublime, one of the best meals I have ever had (anywhere, including outside the US). The superb food is amply complemented by the attentive yet non-intrusive service, and the sommalier (Dan) can and will answer any questions and recommend a wine that is just ideal. Kudos!

As a party of 6, we met for lunch / brunch prior to an afternoon performance downtown. Our menu items - mostly breakfast fare- were well presented and creative. Eggs benedict served on grilled polenta was a refreshing variation on the classic, and quite good. Service a little slow, but the dining room was busy.

  • Great Food. Poor Host Service

    Dined on 10/18/2014
This would have been a 5 star review, except we waited 40 minutes to be seated, and we had a reservation! The host checked us in, told us that it would just be a little wait while they were waiting for people to clear out of a couple tables...we were told to grab a drink at the bar and they would come get us when our table was ready. 35 minutes later, no one had come to get us, and we saw other parties walking in off the street (with NO reservation) being seated. My husband went to inquire at the host stand, and we didn't even get an apology. The hostess simply said "The other guy working the stand must have forgotten about you!" If it wasn't for our excellent waitress and delicious food, I would have walked out. Terrible host service.

We stayed at the Hotel Monaco and ate dinner and the following morning's breakfast at Panzano. Both meals were among the tastiest we've had in a long time. My wife, being a small eater, had an appetizer (crepes) which was outstanding. I had veal scallopini, which sounds somewhat ordinary, but the way in which it was prepared and served was very special indeed. The service was perfect, and we look forward to returning in the very near future.

It's been some time since I've been to Panzano. The last time was many years ago and it was very good then. I was hoping things were still outstanding since I was bringing some out of town friends and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent as was the food. All in all the restaurant was excellent & we all had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend it and I won't wait so long before returning.

Very good food, very good service, but, come on, , , you MUST be able to find a few bottles of nice red wine that you can offer for $35 - $40 a bottle. We ended up getting a glass of wine apiece. Which was very good, but we would have bought our usual bottle of wine if there were reasonable choices on the wine list. The Barolos offered were from roughly $235 - $375 a bottle! Really? We just got back from the Piemonte region where we bought excellent Barolos for €55. We sent cases home for €135 a case. That just doesn't justify charging $235 and up for a bottle of nice wine. Find a distributor who will provide some second tier product that your customers can both afford and enjoy. Italian wine is meant to be enjoyed with food.

A great disappointment as the reviews both on line and personal were good. Waiter recommended the Brussels sprouts which didn't taste like Brussels sprouts at all but some bland fried food. We also had the spinach which didn't taste like it had ever seen garlic. I thought this was an Italian restaurant. The pasta dish's sauce was on the sweet side. The eggplant was good; the only really edible dish. Strange that when we left a good part of the appetizers uneaten, they didn't ask what we thought. It is a busy place so perhaps we just ordered poorly. The good news was that the wine by the glass was very good.

There were some really delicious items at Panzano, but others were mediocre. I had the tasting menu and three of the five were very good, but the other two were just average. The mushroom crepe, grilled ceasar, and tiramisu were delicious. Then my friend ordered the special, which was delicious. However, my two other friends didn't like their dishes, the eggplant parmesan, much at all. The service we received was very good... knowledgeable about the food and the wine. The wine he suggested was spot on for my dish, and I would order it again.

The menu and wine list were enticing and the execution of both were excellent. The service was unobtrusively attentive. But good Lord, did the designer never hear of sound absorbing materials? The cubicle layout has real potential for isolating patrons from the some of the hubbub, but given that this venue is the epitomy of the afteroffice hotspot, higher partitions and hanging tapestries are needed at a minimum. Really. Even the Barolo got a headache!
