  • "1st time there - mixed experience. Didn't start well. Walked in the door & stood there for ~3 minutes. The hostess was nowhere to be found. Then, a man w/2 kids came in, walked past me & the hostess finally appeared & just took them. The bartender & another worker saw what happened but no one said anything. I'm finally seated & at the table, by myself for quite some time. Finally, the waiter comes around & asks if I'd like something to drink. Meanwhile, it's now 7:43 and I can't believe everyone is that late, so I call my friend and they're all waiting at the hostess desk saying they don't have my name. Huh? Wrong. No one was terribly friendly. The food was all good but I can find 6 other places w/same food nearby, so not sure I'll return."

  • "We had friends from Australia visiting us and wanted to take them to one of our favorite restaurants so we booked a table for 4 at Panzanella for Saturday night. We arrived early and Magda was able to seat us right away. We got a good recommendation on the wine from our waiter (who's wife happens to be Australian!!) Our guests had a truly enjoyable time because the food was fantastic (as usual) and the waiter took time to talk to them about his experiences in Australia with his wife and they could easily relate. We got a couple of bonuses during the course of the evening courtesy of Massimo and Magda and our waiter. The evening was a big hit and our Australian friends already posted some pics of the evening."

  • "Went back a second time and found the food and service to be as excellent as the first time. We I have added this Italian restaurant to our favorites. There are many food choices & specials that make it hard to decide. Most of the pasta is made fresh. The salads with home-made fresh mozzarella are fantastic. The meat Lasagna with béchamel sauce was very delicious (but heavy) and the fresh Pappardelle with beef short rib meat had been cooked for hours (meat not the pasta). The service is your typical kicked-back Italian style but the staff is enjoyable with someone always there for you. A lot of places give you the bums rush so we enjoyed taking our time drinking wine. This place draws a crowd so reservations are probably a good idea."

  • "We had a wonderful dinner as usual on Friday night. Magda is always warm and accommodating and our sserver Enzo was great. It'stl the second time we had Enzo as our server and we will request him from now on when ever we go. The food was delicious as well. I had the Buratta Caprese, which is simply the best, the polenta with the shaved black truffles and the Osso Bucco. All dishes were YUMMY!!"

  • "Panzanella is always very good. We've been there on Valentine's Day in the past and found it a little crowded and rushed. This year we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves seated in an area with enough space and a very attentive waiter. When reserving, I had asked for a less crowded area and my request was honored. Thank you, Panzanella. And, there were many specials in addition to the regular menu --- but the restaurant did not have a mandatory prix fixe menu. Food, service and ambiance were all great on such a busy evening."

  • "Yes it was valentines eve , but no excuse ! The food was as if you were at a hospital cafeteria and waiters constantly bouncing into each other did Not make for a nice dining experience. Sorry just not the Drago family experience."

  • "Panzanella is a perfect blend of European sophistication and Italian/American warmth. You feel welcome literally the moment the valet takes your keys in the admittedly very narrow driveway outside the entrance. The management and wait-staff are all attentive and friendly without being intrusive and knowledgeable without being the least bit snobbish. The menu, which includes daily specials and ongoing favorites is wide-ranging but not overwhelming and, having dined there a number of times now, we've never had a meal that wasn't delicious. WIne selection is good, as are the whiskies and cognacs ( my own favorites). Prices are quite reasonable for a restaurant at this level. Tables are a little close, but for us it just adds to the fun."

  • "We went on a Sunday night with a reservation. When we arrived the host was completely stressed out and kept telling us to "be patient." Since all we did was check in I'm not sure what we were being impatient about. Also, I should note, that this is after they called me to confirm the reservation earlier in the day so they knew we were coming. We got seated and had a fine table but when the restaurant starts to fill up it is so loud you can't hear the person across the table from you. The food was very good, but everything took way too long. We were watching tables that arrived after us get their food as we were sitting waiting. Our server was blaming the kitchen that they were busy with several big parties. I wont' be returning"

  • "Our meal was a mixed bag ... some good, some not so good. The prosciutto and mozzarella appetizer was good as was the arancini. The lobster in my pasta entrée was dry and tough but the pasta and sauce were good. My husband said the wine list had no vintages listed. How could they not include the year .. everyone know that quality can vary from year to year! The berry tart for dessert was excellent but the cannoli was only so-so. The staff was very friendly and polite but lacking in a certain level of professionalism. My husband requested his espresso after dessert and the wait person had to be reminded to bring it - after the dessert plates had already been cleared."

  • "I saw my waiter 3 times: once when he took the order, after dessert to see if we were ready for the check, and to take care of the check. wait staff was slow to bring out the three courses and my fish was cold. the reason its good for groups is that it was very loud but seating was very tight."

  • "We waited 20 minutes for our table, which we had reserved for 6.45pm. The food was very good, the waiters were friendly and amusing. The major reservation was the noise level. This was on a sunday, between 6.30 and about 9.00pm. For people who like to talk with the members of their party, the noise level was borderline offensive. I would suggest (unless you like a lot of noise,) to visit either very early or fairly late, when the noise level diminishes."

  • "My wife and I have been coming here for many years. The waiters, managers and staff know us and greet us as if we were family. It's alway a great place to eat. The food is outstanding and the ambiance is relaxed, yet classic. Every year, this is what my wife chooses for her birthday dinner and now her Mother chooses it as well. The prices can be a bit high but for special occasions it's the perfect choice."

  • "We've been going to Panzanella since it opened in the ex-Posto space. Food was and is usually quite good. The last time we dined it was the second time in a row that either the reservation or service was unacceptable. There are any number of good to excellent restaurants that really make you feel that they want your business and appreciate your patronage. These are the qualities that make a dining experience notable and makes one want to return. Unfortunately, NOT the last two dining experiences at Panzanella. To make matters worst, leaving was like going through a smokers "gauntlet" as they allow smoking in the confined entry way. YUCK. As far as my feelings, I will not bring up Panzanella as a place to have dinner in the future."

  • "This Italian restaurant is a tremendous find. The food is outstanding. We had a five course meal that was exceptional except we over ate…which can happen when you get such delicious plates of food like baked spaghetti wrapped in eggplant and veal tenderloin with prosciutto. The entrance is a little hard to find even with GPS since the front door is on an ally but follow the valet sign pointing to the ally and it makes it real easy. I would highly recommend this restaurant for truly great Italian food."

  • "Panzanella continues to please. Regardless of whether one orders pasta, meat or fish, the kitchen's output is consistently delicious. We have not always been seated on time, but were on this occasion although the restaurant was full. Noise level is rather high, but not enough to preclude conversation. I always look forward to dining here and have never been disappointed."

  • "Table of 4 for birthday dinner. True Italian flavors. By 7:00 the place was packed and noise level was energetic. The place is warm and inviting. We ordered the BURRATA CAPRESE salad for the table and the waiter suggested adding prosciutto and it was a great compliment. The favorite dish of the 4 we ordered was the fresh FETTUCCINI BOSCAIOLA. Everything else was also perfectly cooked but this stood out. Our waiter was very attentive and comped the single birthday dessert we had. They even wrote Happy Birthday in Chocolate sauce (it was the Chocolate Souffle with Warm Raspberry Sauce - which is made to order, so allow time) My only note is that it would be nice to have more affordable wines on the list. I would definitely revisit Panzanella!"

  • "Restaurant-wise, Panzanella is simply the best that the Valley has to offer. The food is outstanding. The drinks are generously poured. The waitstaff is attentive. Plus, they have truffles in November and December and frequently change the speicals to compliment the seasons. Whether you are looking for romantic evening or a party for 40 friends, it's a great place to go."

  • "After reading mixed reviews about the food and service, we were a little nervous whether we had selected the right restaurant, but the worries vanished immediately. We had a very attentive server, and the food was fabulous We started off with the delicious Burrata Caprese appetizer and minestrone soup. For dinner, we ordered a variety of dishes -- lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti, baked spaghetti w/eggplant, and the chef's special lobster pasta, which were all excellent. One complaint is that the Caesar salad had too much anchovy so we wouldn't order it next time. All the desserts were great. It was an expensive evening but worth every penny. If you are looking for a quiet place, this restaurant is not for you though."

  • "One of our favorite places to go. There to celebrate my birthday with wife, brother and mother. Great corner booth. Good menu. The service was a bit off from the start. Took awhile to get drinks ordered and to get bread to the table. And once dinner was complete, it took forever for our check to come. Hard to even find someone to find our waiter. Still, great veal chop and excellent tomatoes and soft mozzarella appetizer. Fabulous calamari. Fish specials were very good. Will be back again. Just hope the usually great service returns!"

  • "I brought a friend for a Bday dinner but she wanted to eat early so we booked for 6pm. It was my first time visit and was highly recommended to me by several people. I wanted to relax and chat with my friend over some wine and nice food; however, the waiter kept coming back every few minutes to push us along with ordering. I had the uncomfortable feeling he needed us out for the "real" dinner seating at 8pm. His attention felt more like an annoyance (his with us) rather than providing good service or providing us a good dinning experience. The food was a solid B+, quite good, but not something overall I would come for to celebrate a special occasion again. Conversely, the menu was a bit pricey for just a "night out" kind of dinner."
