This Italian Tratoria is cute and gives you the ambiance of 'old north beach' where I was born and my parents lived their first 30 years. I chose this place because I was desiring Italian casual and wanted to go for a drive in the city. It was icy cold out and did have to bare the walk from the parking lot. When I arrived at the front door, a sweet Turkish young lady stopped me and started persuading me to come in and enjoy their food... I told her I had a reservation and she escorted me to the table and went back out to get more walkers by! She must have pulled in 30 people while I was enjoying my dinner... it was almost comical how she was freezing & still smiling & cordial & convincing! Waitress Anastasia was excellent and I will return!

Waited over 30 mins for a table. There's no point in accepting reservations if there's no priority when being seated. A couple who was ahead of us, w/out reservations, was seated before us. We asked for booth seating and that given to the couple before us. We sat in the middle of the restaurant which is what we wanted to avoid because of the tight space. Horrible service but good food. There are better options in North Beach.

We were there quite early, because we had to catch a show. It was very slow at that time, and was awkward having so many employees so close to our table & almost hovering. And then the bartender announces (to us, as he's points to a guy "That THE best waiter, ever") OK? Our server informs us "That's his boyfriend". TMI. A little unprofessional, girlfriend or boyfriend, a little JR. High School. Do NOT get the lasagna. The pasta w/ bolognese was good, the pizza was amazing, but do NOT get the lasagna. The meat looked like dog food, to be honest, and the pasta was undercooked. The experience as a whole would have been better had we been there when it was a little busier & the staff had more to do.

Reasonably priced Italian spot with good food, generous portions and great service. This isn't the place you'd go to for a fancy night out, but if you're looking for something good and fairly casual with good ambiance, this is worth checking out.
