Panorama Cafe New York reviews from OpenTable diners
  • The staff were professional

The staff were professional and provided utmost courtesy. The food was excellent. It was an early dinner, but the hostess found us the best table for the evening. Knowing the usual expense for a NYC evening meal, this restaurant was a wonderful surprise with very, very reasonable menu expenses. Food quality was 5-star. This one's a keeper and should be placed on the sneaky-excellent list. We will definitely become returning patrons.

Stopped in for a quick dinner and take advantage of their 2 for 1 pizza deal on Tuesdays. The food was fine but the service was poor. They messed up my pizza not once but twice. I get mistakes happen but to do it twice, be slow about replacing it, and then offer nothing more than a verbal apology is too much. There are many more italian places to go to not have to endure such poor service.

Good food at very reasonable price. Even house wine was good. Service was on the slow side, but otherwise very attentive. We will certainly return.

We walked into this restaurant with the radio blasting. I asked if they could lower the volume. While they lowered it a bit, it seemed odd to have such loud music at a 6:30 pm reservation. It was music more for a bar scene, not a small Italian restaurant. Our waitress was clueless. She asked if we wanted water & I asked for sparkling water. She just looked confused and poured tap water for us. When I clarified it with her, she brought a glass of club soda for my daughter. I had to get the manager to get bottled sparkling water. Food wise, I found my dinner of homemade black ink pasta with shrimp and avocado in tomato sauce underwhelming. My daughter enjoyed the chicken parmigiana and my husband liked his fish entree.

  • I was so happy to see that
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

I was so happy to see that Panorama re-opened in a different location after leaving their spot on E 85th street. The ambience was a bit nicer in the other location, but this was cute too. The menu changed a bit, but the food was still really good. The service was a bit slow, and I would have gotten another drink, but the waiter never came around to ask us if we would like another round. Since they just re-opened, and he seemed to be the only waiter on the floor in a full restaurant, it didn't upset us, and we'll definitely go back. As previous waiters ourselves, we understand when that happens.
