Several friends recommended Pane Rustica. They were right on. The service and food were excellent. Our server Stacy was knowledgeable, helpful and loves working there. She was attentive, but not invasive. Our appetizers and dinner were absolutely delicious. We were not disappointed and we WILL be back and pass on our experience to our friends and family. The attention paid to the flavor profiles and preparation of the dishes is superb. I normally go for lunch but visited for dinner with an out of town guest last week. I'm still obsessing over the meal I had and have plans to make the hour drive tomorrow to go back for lunch. We had a butternut squash ravioli & fig appetizer (rich & divine), two seafood pasta dishes (pasta cooked perfectly al dente), and 3 fabulous gelatos for dessert (sea salt caramel, strawberry & hazelnut). The flat breads are a must as well, but reserve them for a lunch visit.

Ordered filet mignon medium rare and it was not only cooked perfectly, but the meat was nicely warm, and the sauce and side perfect with it. That, and a delicious glass of cabernet, and it was one the most divine meals ever. Atmosphere is fantastic (it feels like a cross between Napa Valley and Tuscany). Fabulous, gracious service, very accommodating. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, but did not pester us by frequently stopping by to ask how things were. Definitely well-trained. We had crab cakes appetizer, jumbo seared scallops, and the halibut special, followed by the espresso chocolate sundae with ice cream. Each was fantastic. Have been going to Pane Rustica since the first week it opened in its first tiny location. We brought some friends that had never been there and they loved it! I tried the Summer Cake for dessert for the first time and it was fabulous. The noise from the bar was too much in that area of the restaurant. The four of us had a very difficult time carrying on a conversation.
