Small group of 5 celebrated a wedding, and Pamplemousse was perfect. Housed in an old home, it's romantic without being stuffy. The 5-cours prix-fixe menu helped keep the cost down, as did the reasonable prices on the wine menu. The food was great all around, and the waiter Keefer was superb, friendly and attentive without being intrusive or pushy. When we asked if we could return with children, we were told, absolutely, families were welcome! Location is convenient to the Strip and downtown, closest casino is the new SLS.

The restaurant was beautiful with that special European antique look. The food was good, however, my kabobs which were supposed to be filet mignon and shrimp came with the meat too tough to enjoy. I sent it back and the waiter apologized and told me that the meat that was used for the kabobs was not the first cut filet. I had not been told that when I ordered it. He gladly replaced it but it took a long time to get a new meal and my usband was almost finished eating by the time I got mine.

If you prefer a real local restaurant over the latest Vegas celebrity chef with a man-made Disney-like atmosphere, you should try Pamplemousse. Authentic atmosphere, excellent food and service without all the hype. Wait staff was extremely helpful and the owner stopped by to thank us for dining with them. Great experience!

  • Classic French, Executed Well

A very pleasant step back in time to old-fashioned classic French cuisine, executed well. Beef Bourguignon was rich, well-flavored and succulent. Grilled Salmon with Champagne Sauce was cooked perfectly. A foie gras torchon was deliciously simple. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. In contrast to some of the famous name restaurants on the nearby Strip, Pamplemousse is stylish without being pretentious. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, both for food and wine. In a one week Las Vegas visit, we had by far our best meal at Pamplemoussee. That's why we keep coming back.

Sacrebleu! What a hidden gem. The lobster bisque appetizer was amazing. Definitely the piece de resistance. I had the lamb shank for my entree and it was aight. I would try something else if I went again. The Grand Marnier soufflé for dessert was also outstanding. Tres bien! Considering the only employees in the place was one waiter and one chef (who I assumed was like the chef in the Little Mermaid, back in the kitchen singing in French) we had excellent service. The waiter played the part of host/busboy/server/food runner all in one and he was great. A little bit of a character, but he had that situation. Overall this was a fun, kitchy experience. I recommend this place to anyone looking for unique night out.

First our server and maitre'd Pierre met us at the door with his wonderful French accent. He lead us to the Lovers alcove where flowers that were delivered earlier were perfectly placed on the table. We started the meal with a glass of champagne with a hint of raspberry liquor an extra special touch. We ordered the 5 course pre-fixed menu. I had duck confit and my wife had the fillet minion, both were excellent choices the sauces were spot on perfection. Pierre suggested an exceptional merlot that truly complemented the meal. We finished with a masterfully crafted Grand Mariner sufflet. Overalls the total dinning experience was perfect. Highly recommend for those looking for taste of classic french qusine in a romantic setting.

I rarely get to come here, but it is definitely my favorite. Not many places in vegas last almost 40 years, especially when they're not in a big hotel. This place has stayed as long as it has because it's fantastic. If you can't afford it, find someone who can and make them take you.

This was our 3rd visit and each time we have been very happy with the choice. It is located in an old home on Sahara a couple blocks east of Las Vegas Blvd. If you were driving around looking for a restaurant without knowing anything about it, you probably would not stop but the inside is very nice- country French style. Went there with a neighbor couple. All of us ordered the 5 course prix fix meal at $56. It begins with a large basket of fresh vegatables. Each diner has a small dish of dressing and you take what you want. Appetizers were tasty. For entrees my wife and I had tournados of beef and our friends had duck. We all were happy with our choices. An excellent chocolate mousse was the dessert. Highly recommended!

This place is a gem. It is old school Vegas with great French food. My favorite thing on the menu is their dark chocolate mousse! For appetizer I would highly recommend escargot and for an entree the lamb shank. We were there this time for restaurant week which was a great value. Don't miss this old Vegas Classic it's worth it.

A true find in the hustle of Las Vegas. Even with a large party, the service was impeccable. The prix fixe menu is the way to go, with the most value and best taste experience. Portions were perfect, seafood was excellent, and dessert was incredible. I would recommend the lamb, and save the steak for a steakhouse. Creme Brulee was the best I've had in a long time, and the mousse revived memories of dessert on the Iles Saint Germain. Go to experience Paris away from from the casino on the strip.

Food was sort of pedestrian, old-fashioned French but very good for what it was. This is an older independent restaurant still successful in a city of super-star chefs. It provided good value, decent ambience and good service. When compared with the dining experience at the big casinos, Pamplemousse falls short. Even though the value was good, I don't thing we would return anytime soon.

Its worth going to once. We had the fixed price menu and based on LV prices is was a good value. The seafood appetizer was fabulous but our main courses were OK at best. It was highly recommended to us by some friends, but there are many other places in Vegas to have a quality dinner at that are just as good or better. Plan on at least 2-3 hours (no problem for us there) and also $20+ EACH WAY in taxi fees from Ceasars area. I'm glad we tried it but wouldn't make the effort to go back considering the many great restaurants we can walk to in Vegas.

I had the pleasure of dining here 6 years ago, it was so good I put it on by bucket list to come back one day. Had the great please of dining there again on July 4th, OUT OF THIS WORLD. Hands down best food I have ever eaten in my life. The atmosphere is so comfortable, service is excellent, and the food is a gift to your taste buds. The best part is, it's very affordable. I would highly recommend the 5 course pre-set price meal, and allow at least 2 hours for the experience. Easy to get to if you take the monorail to the last stop which is Sahara, walk across the street to your right. A must place to go when you visit Las Vegas. Also, it's small quiet and cozy, so it's a relief from the strip.

With my choice of ANY restaurant in town, for my 64th birthday, I chose Pamplemousse It was a Wed., only 4 tables going..but the quiet was fine for us. Our waiter, Kiefer, was knowledgable, professional , and friendly. The food was pretty much as I remembered...my husband's fillet was wonderful as was my duck. We were pleasantly surprised when Georges just happened to be in the restaurant (in spite of a nasty injury due to a fall) and painfully limped to all 4 parties to personally greet them. For any long-time Vegas resident, you know that's a treat.

Pamplemousse Le Restaurant has delicious French food. The atmosphere is romantic and you feel like you're in a french country cottage. Eating there is an experiance and plan to be there at least 2 hrs. I go every time I'm in Las Vegas. I love it there. My husband and I took my best friend and her husband and they were on cloud nine. They absolutely loved it! The souffle is like eating a slice of heaven! Order it as soon as you get there because it takes about 40 minutes to make. You won't be disappointed! Met the owner George, that was a treat. Not kid friendly and about 60 dollars a person for 5 course meal, does not include drinks. Overall it is a restaruant to go to for a romantic meal or a special occasion. Love it!! :)

I have to say, there's a... smell when you first enter this establishment. Not a yummy smell. But persevere. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous enough that I took some away with me. But THE outstanding aspect of Pamplemousse has got to be the incredibly solicitous servers. These men are professionals. Attentive without hovering. Observant without being intrusive. Gentle guidance on menu combinations. Excellent service, deserving of the biggest tip you can afford to leave.

Pamplemousse has been around forever. It's located in an old house in what used to be a much more scenic area of town, but once you're inside, you forget about the location. Very well-executed traditional French. We had the escargot and French onion soup to start. The soup is an example of a classic well executed. Deep, rich broth, lots of caramelized onion, saturated but not soggy crouton and nicely crispy and gooey cheese. The duck breast and confit were similarly well done, although I would have liked a bit more sauce with the breast. The souffle to finish was excellent, although we'd asked for chocolate and got Grand Mariner. That highlights the one little problem - although service is fine, it's a little sporadic.

The food was superb, and it is worth the visit just to meet Keifer, the Host, Waiter and Historian of this fine establishment. Of mention, the outside of the building is aged and a tad dated, but do not let that scare you off. We almost did and that would have been a huge mistake. Coming here made for a great Vegas memory!

This is honestly one of the best dining experiences in all of Las Vegas, and where you go when you get tired of dealing with the tourists and tourist prices. The wine list is excellent and each course is incredibly well done, with attention to detail. Take heed that it is truly a leisurely dining experience, and if you are having their 5 course meal, it may take 2.5 to 3 hours. Personally, I will find myself there every time I am in Vegas.

What a lovely little retreat from the glitz and artificiality of the LV Strip! Le Pamplemousse is a soothing little French farmhouse, with dimly lit plaster walls, crisp white tablecloths, and charming, attentive service. The menu presents the diner with difficult choices in each category, then the server shows up in a tuxedo to recite the daily specials and make the choices even more difficult; it features a broad range of meat, fish, and fowl, all beautifully prepared and presented. The meal starts with a lavish basket of crudites, a nice surprise which I've never seen before. The wine list is adequate but not extensive. On 2 recent visits, there did seem to be some problem controlling the loudness of the background music. Will return.

  • Nice, except for the food!

It's cute, quaint, and even nostalgically romantic with a very professional waitstaff, BUT the food was so bland [under-seasoned, sauces without taste] that it ruined the experience. Either the chef or the recipes need quick attention. The restaurant is living/dying on past reputation!
