  • "Never miss a chance to eat here. Great French food without pretense. Well prepared. Fair pricing and entertaining waiter make this a must to visit. I have been going for 20 years"

  • "I've heard about this place for years and for one reason or another never made it. Huge mistake. I regret not going sooner! Amazing food!"

  • "If you want to drop 2 k on egg rolls, make the 23 y.o. blowing daddys dough blow your way, this isnt the place for you. Pamplamousse is for those who: Like/love real food, beauty in presentation, and appreciate thier surroundings. Want to hold a conversation over a meal w.out shouting Take in the history of LV with each bite. Beautiful, quant, quiet, lovely, delicious.... Come, visit, eat/drink, be....all that is LV"

  • "A true find in the hustle of Las Vegas. Even with a large party, the service was impeccable. The prix fixe menu is the way to go, with the most value and best taste experience. Portions were perfect, seafood was excellent, and dessert was incredible. I would recommend the lamb, and save the steak for a steakhouse. Creme Brulee was the best I've had in a long time, and the mousse revived memories of dessert on the Iles Saint Germain. Go to experience Paris away from from the casino on the strip."

  • "Food was sort of pedestrian, old-fashioned French but very good for what it was. This is an older independent restaurant still successful in a city of super-star chefs. It provided good value, decent ambience and good service. When compared with the dining experience at the big casinos, Pamplemousse falls short. Even though the value was good, I don't thing we would return anytime soon."

  • "Took the kids for their first French restaurant experience. Everything from the service, food, accommodations for a picky eater, was handled perfectly."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed a romantic evening with great service, fine food, atmosphere reminiscent of old Vegas, and a wine list to die for. I'll go there again GLADLY. They even gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary!"

  • "Its worth going to once. We had the fixed price menu and based on LV prices is was a good value. The seafood appetizer was fabulous but our main courses were OK at best. It was highly recommended to us by some friends, but there are many other places in Vegas to have a quality dinner at that are just as good or better. Plan on at least 2-3 hours (no problem for us there) and also $20+ EACH WAY in taxi fees from Ceasars area. I'm glad we tried it but wouldn't make the effort to go back considering the many great restaurants we can walk to in Vegas."

  • "I had the pleasure of dining here 6 years ago, it was so good I put it on by bucket list to come back one day. Had the great please of dining there again on July 4th, OUT OF THIS WORLD. Hands down best food I have ever eaten in my life. The atmosphere is so comfortable, service is excellent, and the food is a gift to your taste buds. The best part is, it's very affordable. I would highly recommend the 5 course pre-set price meal, and allow at least 2 hours for the experience. Easy to get to if you take the monorail to the last stop which is Sahara, walk across the street to your right. A must place to go when you visit Las Vegas. Also, it's small quiet and cozy, so it's a relief from the strip."

  • "With my choice of ANY restaurant in town, for my 64th birthday, I chose Pamplemousse It was a Wed., only 4 tables going..but the quiet was fine for us. Our waiter, Kiefer, was knowledgable, professional , and friendly. The food was pretty much as I remembered...my husband's fillet was wonderful as was my duck. We were pleasantly surprised when Georges just happened to be in the restaurant (in spite of a nasty injury due to a fall) and painfully limped to all 4 parties to personally greet them. For any long-time Vegas resident, you know that's a treat."

  • "Pamplemousse Le Restaurant has delicious French food. The atmosphere is romantic and you feel like you're in a french country cottage. Eating there is an experiance and plan to be there at least 2 hrs. I go every time I'm in Las Vegas. I love it there. My husband and I took my best friend and her husband and they were on cloud nine. They absolutely loved it! The souffle is like eating a slice of heaven! Order it as soon as you get there because it takes about 40 minutes to make. You won't be disappointed! Met the owner George, that was a treat. Not kid friendly and about 60 dollars a person for 5 course meal, does not include drinks. Overall it is a restaruant to go to for a romantic meal or a special occasion. Love it!! :)"

  • "I have to say, there's a... smell when you first enter this establishment. Not a yummy smell. But persevere. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous enough that I took some away with me. But THE outstanding aspect of Pamplemousse has got to be the incredibly solicitous servers. These men are professionals. Attentive without hovering. Observant without being intrusive. Gentle guidance on menu combinations. Excellent service, deserving of the biggest tip you can afford to leave."

  • "Pamplemousse has been around forever. It's located in an old house in what used to be a much more scenic area of town, but once you're inside, you forget about the location. Very well-executed traditional French. We had the escargot and French onion soup to start. The soup is an example of a classic well executed. Deep, rich broth, lots of caramelized onion, saturated but not soggy crouton and nicely crispy and gooey cheese. The duck breast and confit were similarly well done, although I would have liked a bit more sauce with the breast. The souffle to finish was excellent, although we'd asked for chocolate and got Grand Mariner. That highlights the one little problem - although service is fine, it's a little sporadic."

  • "Every trip that I make tp Las Vegas includes a dinner at Pamplemousse. WIth all of the great restaurants on the strip it is nice to go to this quite spot for great food and ambiance. I have recommended this spot to friends heading to Las Vegas and none of them have been dissappointed. There is a reason this reataurant has thrived fo ralmost 40 years and its is the quality of the food and service."

  • "Pamplemousse is for those who enjoy a long leisurely meal. I wanted a grand manier souffle for my Bday and they do offer this amazing dessert.we also had ticket reservations for a 9 o'clock show and really needed to speed up our dinner. Our waiter was a bit put off at our requests but made it all happen. Please go and enjoy but don't rush. Say hello to FRED"

  • "Our group has been eating at Pamplemouse for many years. It is not flashy compared to restaurants in the Vegas hotels. It provides a value for money experience that is refreshing in Las Vegas."

  • "Great place for serious dining. Loved the salad basket of fresh veggies. Attentive service. Prices in line with food and service. Building is quite dated and too much ac. Wear a jacket or sweater. All and all an excellent evening. "

  • "If Vintage Vegas holds any appeal, then this facility is a must-do for you. The food was superb, and it is worth the visit just to meet Keifer, the Host, Waiter and Historian of this fine establishment. Of mention, the outside of the building is aged and a tad dated, but do not let that scare you off. We almost did and that would have been a huge mistake. Coming here made for a great Vegas memory!"

  • "This is honestly one of the best dining experiences in all of Las Vegas, and where you go when you get tired of dealing with the tourists and tourist prices. The wine list is excellent and each course is incredibly well done, with attention to detail. Take heed that it is truly a leisurely dining experience, and if you are having their 5 course meal, it may take 2.5 to 3 hours. Personally, I will find myself there every time I am in Vegas."

  • "What a lovely little retreat from the glitz and artificiality of the LV Strip! Le Pamplemousse is a soothing little French farmhouse, with dimly lit plaster walls, crisp white tablecloths, and charming, attentive service. The menu presents the diner with difficult choices in each category, then the server shows up in a tuxedo to recite the daily specials and make the choices even more difficult; it features a broad range of meat, fish, and fowl, all beautifully prepared and presented. The meal starts with a lavish basket of crudites, a nice surprise which I've never seen before. The wine list is adequate but not extensive. On 2 recent visits, there did seem to be some problem controlling the loudness of the background music. Will return."

  • "It's cute, quaint, and even nostalgically romantic with a very professional waitstaff, BUT the food was so bland [under-seasoned, sauces without taste] that it ruined the experience. Either the chef or the recipes need quick attention. The restaurant is living/dying on past reputation! "

  • "My husband and I loved this charming country french restaurant. The ambience was just what we were looking for. It was so nice and quiet and away from the noise of Las Vegas. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We really appreciated all of the nice touches from the crudités basket to the light background music. I would definitely go back."

  • "I had eaten here many years ago and remembered it as a really nice French style restaurant. I have eaten at other restaurants along the strip in the large hotels and casinos, but never found the food truly exceptional at those places. This time I decided to go back to the Pamplemousse to see if it was as good as I remembered. I was very pleasantly pleased to find that it still delivered. I had the escargot (with lots of garlic), veal (with a wonderful rosemary sauce), and a dense, dark chocolate mousse for dessert. The service is amazing. I was stunned at how well my waiter handled several tables and was so attentive. Since the Sahara closed in 2011, there have been a lot of changes nearby. Don't worry, a new hotel is opening soon."

  • "This is an exceptional restaurant that had outstanding service, delicious food and a wonderful ambiance. The prices were very reasonable and the menu offered a wide variety of entrees. There was music playing in the background, but it didn't keep our party from being able to carry on a conversation. Staff was very attentive and this was a delightful dinning experience that reminded you of the old fashioned values and service that made the strip so popular."

  • " Located a short distance away from the hustle of the strip; the cuisine, the service and the atmosphere combine to create a memorable meal every time we are in town. The restaurant is actually a cottage, with softly lighted rooms. The specials and the printed menu made it difficult to choose a favorite for the evening, but we both ordered specials that were outstanding in every way. The service was unobtrusive but attentive. Hard to find a way to improve the experience. The restaurant was less than 2 miles from our hotel (the Trump) and is on the border of a residential area but we have never had difficulty parking. Thumbs up for a romantic setting with memorable dining."

  • "We have been dining at Pamplemousse for our anniversary for 11 years. It is our favorite romantic spot. The staff is always so accommodating. It is quiet and the food is exquisite. The wine recommendations are always spot on. We have never had a bad dish. We need to go more often. "

  • "Small Restaurant. Noisy. Food was very much so so. Steaks were overcooked and they did not seem to care nor were they willing to make it right. The Wine list is terrible. They advertise as a French Restaurant - it is not. just a couple of dishes. They bring a huge basket of vegetables instead of bread to the table which by the way they recycle to other tables. Absolutely would not recommend going to this place. Also not in the best of neighborhoods"

  • "For those of you who are special enough to remember, Pamplemousse reflects the ambiance and cuisine you would have encountered at a good French restaurant 40-50 years ago, and maybe earlier. The servers are proper, tuxedoed and very helpful. The ceilings are low, the tables draped with linens, the light a soft glow and the food traditional French and excellent."

  • "A friend suggested it for a romantic dinner. What a disappointment. The restaurant had a sewer odor that my wife determined was coming from the restroom. Granted, it could have been a very cute restaurant at one time. Now it just looks like no one cares how it looks - or smells. I had the veal - chewy and under-seasoned. My wife meal was underwhelming as well. We try to support our local restaurants but they shouldn't assume everyone is a tourist that they will never see again. Our waiter was aloof and didn't seem to care about us at all. I overheard him tell an underdressed couple that if they came back they sometimes have "cheaper" food. What a terrible assumption to make! The young man was obviously embarrassed and they promptly left."

  • "A quiet oasis not far from the Strip. The food is classic French. We started with a nice presentation of crudities, followed by fois gras. My wife's duck was excellent and a generous serving. My veal medallions were also tasty and well presented. Our only minor disappointment was the Grand Marnier souffle, which was beautiful, but had no hint of the Grand Marnier. Did they forget to add it? Our server Keefer was very personable and knowledgeable. We'll be back."

  • "There were four in our party this time and we had an excellent dinner. The experience was a great improvement over my previous review last month where I noted that, while the food was as good as ever, the service was dreadful because of the simultaneous seating of a large party that overwhelmed both the kitchen and the service. Not true this time. The restaurant was pleasantly busy, the service was attentive and timely, and the food was excellent. Notable dishes included appetizers of duck mousse terrine and wild mushrooms in puff pastry. Entrees included braised lamb shank and sauteed veal medallions in cognac cream sauce. All excellent but the real star was the Grand Marnier souffle, with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream in the center.Yum!"
