The spirit of Brazil meets luxury and extravagance at Pampas in the heart of downtown Palo Alto. Here, the authenticity of the Brazilian churrasco comes to a modern dining emporium where impromptu gatherings, romantic rendezvous’ and large corporate events feel at home. On the plate, smoke meets spice, rusticity finds sophistication, tradition is re-imagined. Simply prepared meats are spit roasted to juicy perfection and sliced tableside without limit. Sample the array alongside one of our mixologist’s freshly muddled seasonal cocktails or a choice vintage selected by our sommelier. Take in the side bar, brimming with seasonal vegetables, fresh salads and artisan cheese; and watch our servers round the room with simply prepared meats, spit roasted to juicy perfection and sliced tableside without limit. • "I love the variety of meat........everyone in our party (party of five) enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The wait staff are exceptional & really mad our dinning experience even better!"

  • "Awesome food awesome service and great drinks. What's more to say? Not the first time dining here. Probably third or fourth. That should tell you something in itself."

  • "Over a dozen delicious meats all carved right at your table, and an extensive side bar with salads, cheese, vegetables, and more. Loved it!"

  • "I went to Pampas with my wife and son. My wife and son ordered the all-you-can eat meat dinner and I ordered the fish meal (Ono) wince I'm on diet due to my recent heart attack. Towards the end of the meal, the waiter brought bbq pineapples as a part of the meat dinner. I asked the waiter if I could get a tiny piece to taste and his response was a humiliating NO. I felt really embarrassed. Since I'm trying to be a good role model for my son, I simply said "sure, rules are rules" but deep inside I felt this was really weird. Both fish and meat dinner cost almost the same and we paid more than $250 for 3 people meal. How come a small slice of pineapple was considered too much ?"

  • "Vegetarians need not apply. A selection of best meats around, delivered to you in an endless all-you-can-eat stream. We go there specifically to overdo it."

  • "The food was very expensive, and we felt not very good, service was okay but it was noisy, and over priced for what you got"
    Dined on 4/10/2013
  • "Ordered a bottle wine with the food, meat selections were started yet no wine. It arrived after we were done eating."

  • "I was really impressed with the whole scene!! the food was great!! I mean outstanding and the wine was great..we had a great time and I LOVE THE JAZZ in the backround!!!"

  • "Everything is good. But im a beef meat lover... I know same place. For only $15 per head.....pampas is expensive because of the place is in palo alto..."

  • "We celebrated a birthday dinner at Pampas, so it was special. We had three meat lovers and one vegetarian in the group and everyone left happy. Great salad/side bar. No one leaves hungry. Great service, too."

  • "I visited Pampas twice within a week because I love their food and I had 2 special evenings planned out that worked out great at Pampas the first time around, why not the second right?! The food was just as good as the first time around, the Top Sirloin never ceases to disappoint me, this time I came with a game plan to refuse certain meats and have less of the side bar to save my stomach for the high quality slices, turned out to be a great plan. The only downside was I waited 10-15 minutes for the first round of meat to come around."

  • "The rodizio meat was good, but the service was a bit slow and they were slow to bring out different meats to try. The pork loin and chicken came around 3-4 times before any beef dishes and the sausage didn't even come by until 20 - 30 minutes later. I realize the dinner is a slow pace, but I felt it was too slow. It would be nice if the tables were a bit farther apart from each other. With the servers coming by and stopping at the tables next to us, we had the waiters backside in our faces a bit more than we would have liked. The side bar was good. Though, overall, it's a pretty pricey place so unless you are a big eater or going there for the experience, there are better values with comparable quality out there."

  • "This is a great place to just sit and tast different foods."

  • "With such good reviews we found the food quite disappointing. There were only 2 beef samplers & they were merely okay. The rest of the offerings were mostly variations of marinated chicken with some sausages, 1 turkey and 1 lamb sample thrown in. The Side bar was so highly recommended by other reviewers and it was "meh". The Cesear salad dressing was horrible- would never have identified it without the sign and the sesame noodle salad was soggy and mushy. The servers were very pleasant and attentive and the ambiance is good. It has potential to be a very fun venue but they could definitely to get some better chefs."

  • "The food was incredible, there were many different options of protein items. I would recommend going with the Rodizio and side bar style of dining which allows you unlimited selections and quantities of meat and side bar options. The service wasnʻt quite what I expected, the ambiance the place gives sets high expectations for staff but our server didnʻt check on us instead she was more concerned with the other customers around us. I definitely will return but hope that my feedback will help the staff to work on their customer service."

  • "Very nice location, very good service, superior meat quality and reasonable bill. In a nutshell a positive dine experience without flaws. However wish to outline that meat selection is more Argentinian than Brazilian, i.e. more lamb and less poultry deli (as hearts). Not a big issue at all especially having in mind venue's name, but this just to set the right expectations for those who stick on authenticity ;)"

  • "Everything was excellent: the meats were tender & flavorful, the veggie side-bar had a large selection of simple yet tasty items, the South American Malbec wine went wonderfully with the meal, the service was attentive & polite, and the live music really added a fun atmosphere to the place. I look forward to coming here again. Thanks Pampas!"

  • "When we first went here a couple of years ago, we loved it. It's gone way downhill since then. There used to be 8-10 different meats passed by the wait staff. Last night there were only 5. The noise level from the live band makes it impossible to have a conversation. All in all, WAY too pricey for what you get, minimal variety of meats. The wait staff were all very nice, but not much they can do with so little to work with. We'll give it a couple of years before we go back, just to see if it can get back to where it once was."

  • "This Brazilian Steakhouse, or Rodizio really hits the spot. Their meat is very good, and is actually a good value as it includes the salad bar and all you can eat meat. Now don't expect kobe or wagyu grade meat, that's not the point. Think of the most flavorful barbeque being served with 10 different kinds of meat and everything seasoned and roasted/cooked very well."

  • "I took my family to Pampas for my son's 19th birthday. We took him here for his birthday a few years ago and he requested to come back, this time with our two younger kids in tow. Unfortunately I forgot our server's name (he had glasses and we were seated on the semi-private area downstairs), but he was fantastic and very funny. He refilled our drinks at the right time and checked on us at the right frequency. At the end of our meal, he asked my 19-year-old if he cares for some dessert and my son begged off, saying he's not really a sweets person, but came there for the meat. A few minutes later our server came back with a filet mignon "cake" - a small cube of meat with a candle. That cracked all of us up, he was really awesome!"

  • "I brought my gf here for Valentine's. We haven't been to this location before but we have been to the Las Vegas restaurant. We walked in the door and we were immediately brought to our table, which was tightly sandwiched between two other tables and I was barely able to pull out my chair without bumping my neighbor. They raise the prices on Valentine's Day and try to squeeze as many bodies in the door as possible. Considering the fact that this was a "holiday", I don't think this is the experience one would usually have at Pampas. I may try this restaurant again on a regular weeknight but I was not very impressed with the dining experience or the price on this particular night. I will say, the food was on par with the Vegas restaurant."

  • "Food was not great this time. The servers kept pushing the same lamb that no one likes, whereas the top sirloin only made it around for the second time when we were about done. We probably turned down the lamb eight or nine times during our meal. The chicken and the parmesan filet were dry."

  • "Definitely save your appetite if you go for the rodizio style dining. All the different foods presented were great. Would definitely go back again."

  • "Quite noisy on a Friday night with live music. Bar overrun during happy hour. Other than being understaffed at the bar, service was 4-stars. Execution of the meats was outstanding. To be honest, I'm not a fan of the buffet for sides. It makes the experience feel like a cafeteria or an all-inclusive resort. I didn't feel like anything at the buffer was a knock-out."

  • "Food was ok, A variety of meats delivered to your table, who would like that? But, we had to ask them to come around. .. salad bar area was fairly standard fare. Very few Brazilian flavors. Our drinks order took forever, even though we could see them ready and sitting at the bar waiting to be delivered. every waiter looked at our order, realized it wasn't for him and took off.. Similar service throughout the evening. But, the highlight is supposed to be the meats.. But, nothing stood out...... Although a nice place, with a cool Jazz band, the food was nothing special. .. Heavy bill at the end of the night, but not worthy of the dinner."

  • "Everything was going well for about 30-40 mins with lots of choices of beef and pork tenderloin coming around. We were eating for a solid hour. Of course while eating dessert, the other offerings started to come around. This includes lamb, sausages, and chicken. I would think an hour of being present at your table would be enough time for all the offerings listed on the menu to come by at least once. We were seated upstairs, which I do not know if that matters. We had a 6 pm reservation on a Sat. I would like to visit this place again and hopefully be able to taste all the offerings."

  • "Every time I have friends over I always take them to Pampas. The vast choice from raw, cooked salad to cheeses and fish. Over 10 variety of skewer meats are seemed endless and more than enough to fill up your appetite. My guests are always leave with awesome satisfaction."

  • "Honestly, it was more expensive than it should have been. I don't mind paying top dollar when the food is excellent. Too much money, for what it was. I would only go back if the food was higher quality, or the cost was less. I think the separate plates are probably better than the BBQ and salad bar I ordered --- yet what I ordered was more expensive."

  • "Pampas has great food. Assuming you do not order a la carte, they bring meats to your table letting sample many. The prime rib was amazing!"
    Dined on 1/5/2014
  • "The quality of the food and the servings have degraded. Had to ask several times to bring medium as opposed to raw meats. They do not bring anymore sauces to the table, and some other items that used to be delivered to the table is available only at additional price, which for an already pricy set is not acceptable."

  • "The service was top notch. Geno and JK were phenomenal. I will without a doubt be back. The food was to die for. Only thing I would change is the fluorescent lighting. Very cafeteria like. Soften the lighting and it would be perfect."
