We sat in the same booth and had the surf and turf dinner. It is a very warm and romantic atmosphere. Everything from the bread to the dessert was very good. Loved the scallops and steaks. The shrimp were huge, too. I ordered the mushrooms as a side and they were great with the steak but my husband ordered the onions and I did not care for them at all. He shared most of my mushrooms with me and ate the onions on his own. We ordered the chocolate volcano and the flan cheesecake for dessert. The flan was out of this world. The volcano was mostly chocolate syrup over a little brownie. The server was very professional. The sparkling personality of our server, Travis, really made the meal. The food was amazing, and the two ladies who were bartending also added to a great night out. I would recommend coming here for a date or a business dinner (particularly when you want to impress your clients!) but I would NOT recommend bringing children. This is a classy place and again, the food and service cannot be beat -- anywhere in Atlanta! We went to Pampas for my wife's birthday, and in her mind Pampas is the best steakhouse that she has ever visited in terms of the taste of the steak. She believes that the mushrooms at Pappas Steakhouse in Houston/Dallas are better. The garlic fries were a bit pedestrian as well. I know this is a steakhouse and I have never been a fan of steak but I figured since I was at a steak house why not try their specialty. So I think coming from a person who usually orders chicken or fish at a restaurant is a big deal for me to say that I actually enjoyed and loved it. I am a steak lover and this has to be one of the best steaks that I've ever had. The service was fantastic. Very attentive, but not annoying. We were celebrating an anniversary and the staff was aware and wished us a Happy Anniversary in addition to providing us with a beautiful personalized dessert on the house. Be sure to set aside a couple of pennies because it is not an inexpensive restaurant, but it is worth every penny.
