Pampa Brazilian SteakhouseI enjoyed the rump the most,I enjoyed the rump the most, the rest I could do without, just a personal preference. There were very few items on the salad bar that I enjoyed. Not very much flavour in the bean dishes. I have visited Pampa and really enjoyed most of the salad bar. We have never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse before. It was the perfect atmosphere for the two of us. Our waiter was fantastic! He explained how everything worked and definitely went above and beyond. I had read reviews of Pampa's before and all the reviews said customer service was top notch and I couldn't agree more!
Two things that surprised us were there were no hot veggies of any sort and that you had to pay for water which was $2.00 a person. The salad bar was nicely appointed and despite the place being fairly busy, none of the items were lacking in volume or presentation. If you're expecting alot of Hot Starch foods for your entree, you'll only find 2. All of the meat offered table-side was tasty and plentiful. I found the beef was served on the rare side, which may be unappealing to some people, but the poultry and pork was done very nicely. There wasn't anything that dissappointed. I loved the meal. The waitress was exceptional; informed and knowledgeable about their offerings and appeared eager to supply great service. The salad bar had incredible selection, and the 10 choices of grilled meat being brought by the "Grill Masters" was delicious. The all you can eat aspect would make this restaurant ideal for starving teenagers, or professional athletes.
The place is well decorated in contemporary finishes, with polished concrete floors, white table cloths, and edgy but comfortable red leather chairs.
We brought two of our own wines, and the corkage charge was $25 per bottle.
Would definitely eat here again. This restaurant would also be great if you have a party of fussy eaters with varying tastes, as there is so much selection.
The passion fruit mousse for desert was delicious.

I noticed a large wine list but can't comment as I don't like it , I have never liked wine. The waiter was great, polite and very knowledgeable on all the dishes and customs. Then came the food, it was simply delightful, perfectly cooked and piping hot. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The waiter was diligent and kept us going with refreshments and fresh plates without missing a beat. The chocolate desert with the star sauce was amazing as well. We had Matt as our guide throughout the meal. He was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. He helped me pick out a wine as well, that most definitely complimented the red meats. Five stars for him alone!
The salad bar looked lovely. We did not grab a lot of it, as we were there for the meats. We were not disappointed. We have been to a Brazilian Steakhouse before, but not one with Alberta beef. Everything was delicious.
If possible, show up around 5:30. It is impossible to pick a favourite cut or type of meat. They were all very good. The servers quickly remembered how you preferred your meat done. Also, when we missed a round of meat or wanted more of one type/cut of meat, our sever ensured that our request was filled. I do think we ate more signature steak and lamb than any other cut of meat, though. There is a good variety of cold items on the salad bar and we are never able to manage a taste of everything. We loved the mint dressing on the Arugula salad. I had been wanting to have dinner there for over a year and we finally had the opportunity to go. The salad bar served up some tasty cold salads among other unique side dishes. The various succulent meats served came around to our table pretty quickly. They were all extremely appetizing. If I hadn't been so full, I could have gone for another round of bliss. The delicious cheese bread puff apps were so comforting as the melted in our mouths. I loved them so much that I'm going to try making them at home. It was noisy and we found we had to speak very loud. However, it wasn't at the point that we were upset about it, just an observation we all had.
The meat was 'excellent'! The serving and explanation of the meats was excellent! The explanation of desserts was excellent and the serving of the dinner appertif was outstanding!!

The salad bar has no fish of any kind (in Brazil, it includes platters of shrimp, smoked fish, cold fish platters, lobster, etc.) and no dessert bar with lots of options, particularly fresh fruits. In Brazil, the fish and desert bar are both included in the meal price. Randomly found this on the web & decided to Birthday splurge with the family. People will say that it can be on the pricey side but you really get what you pay for. ALL YOU CAN EAT MEAT… nuff sai-nope, freshly grilled meat coming nearly non-stop to your table as well as always having warm and seasoned meat provided for you will satiate any carnivorous cravings. The little details and special touches, which you find out on your own, really made the experience great. Definitely should try this restaurant at least once in your life.
