Diner Reviews
  • "Thou the food was good...and we went for the meat, I wasn't crazy for the meat. Over all I give only 3 stars. Overly priced. "

  • "Pampa was a great experience for a Birthday Celebration. Everyone at our table really got in to the dining experience and had a fun time enjoying the different carves of meat that was being bombarded our way. It is a tad pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. "

  • "My husband and I took our family out for supper, we all had a great time. 12 of us in all.... the bill was 1100.00 which was fine I guess, since all of us were drinking. This is our second time, and we highly recommending your establishment, however I do not appreciate the water charge..... and will probably never return to your resteraunt again nor ever suggest that people go. Also, I believe that gratuity should not be added onto the bill......as a sir charge. Yes, I think that everything was great but really charging for tap water."

  • "When there's nothing to complain about, life is good. That's what you get an Pampa Brazilian Steakhouse! A little pricier than I normally like but the selection and quality make up for it. Just a very good experience!"

  • "A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. More than happy to reccomend it to anyone and everyone. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious."

  • "you may end up with the meat sweats, but it is worth it every time. Great meat, great drinks, great desserts. Brazilian food at its best."

  • "Super awesome meat ninjas!! I would eat the entire leg of lamb, take the whole skewer. Don't bother with the salad. Think strategically about the space in your stomach."
    Dined on 4/16/2014
  • "The food and service were excellent. As warned, it was expensive, but you go into it knowing how much it's going to cost, so it's not a shock or anything. The buffet blew my expectations out of the water, and actually made it difficult to remember I was there for the meat! I would absolutely recommend Pampa for a special occasion, but make sure to go with an empty stomach. My only complaint it that the view is a gas station, so not very romantic, but nothing they can do about that. Maybe avoid the window seats though."

  • "Neat idea- fantastic salad bar and then meat dim sum style. The food was fantastic although three meat selections out of 10 were excessively salty. Staff were overly attentive- so much so I felt we were being rushed along. I was a bit taken aback by the $2 per person charge for water, at $50 per person for the meal plus it seemed tacky. Overall- I enjoyed the food immensely but likely won't return."

  • "My husband and I visited Pampa for my birthday/our first real night out since having a baby celebration. We both really enjoyed the beef and cannot complain about the other meats. The side bar was good but I did feel like it left something to be desired. Our overall experience was really good but we did feel like we had to wait for too long waiting for our dessert and waiting for the bill. Our waitress was great but maybe had one or two too many tables that night. We will be back though!"

  • "The steakhouse is a neat place to try with your family and friends. It is very expensive so for me one time will be it."

  • "This was our second visit to Pampa, and I'm sure there will be lots more to come. The food is amazing, service is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, and they have an amazing wine list, I would not hesitate to recommend."

  • "Making and changing reservations turned out to be a breeze. The hostess was on top of things when we arrived. The waitress really did not connect with me but was adequate. The servers for the meat had 2 fellows who were shining stars in my mind. The food was generally extremely good. The cheese bread appetisers are a bit like a Yorkshire pudding gone wrong.I could not find anything I tried from the salad bar to not enjoy. A few things like the lentil and lamb and the watermelon pickle can only be called scrumptious. There was enough of the meat cuts to please any palate and they were all beautifully done. I was a touch let down at being unable to find some mint sauce for the lamb but maybe mint sauce is not a Brazilian thing."

  • "The service was absolutely superb. The salad bar had a wonderful variety and the meat was cooked to perfection. Prices a little high for beverages, both alcoholic and non, only negative is that. Parking can also be a challenge."

  • "I've been once before in October and the meat offerings were great and the adventure was fun, but this time the meat was just average and bland. No dish really stuck out in my mind. The meat servers had such thick accents I could hardly understand what they were trying to say they were offering. I think after going once the novelty of the over priced experience wears off. Good for people who can't make up their mind on what to order, but there's no way I had $50 worth of meat or other dishes to make up for it. I think this is a good "one time experience" restaurant, I do not see myself returning again."

  • "Lots of different cuts of meat and prep styles. Overall, very good. The beer on the menu was good but more variety would be nice. Service was excellent and the staff were very pleasent. Great place for meat lovers. Would recommend for large groups."

  • "If you like a variety of meat this is the place for you. Great of you've never tried a cut of meat you can sample a small piece and go from there without having to order it as your whole meal and chancing that you didn't like it."

  • "Every time I go to Pampa I leave satisfied. I took my friend there for her Birthday and we even got a tour of the kitchen showing us how they make all their food from scratch. Also showing us how they cook their meat using just coals and no chemicals or gas. Pampa's food is delicious and they have a lot of options for people who have a gluten free Diet. Love this place, highly recommend it."

  • "After taking my wife here for a special dinner out, we have decided that we have to return with friends. A group dinner out would fit this place perfectly. Both my wife and I really liked the food and the service was fantastic!! Great night out!"

  • "Our group of 4 loved our experience. Found it a tiny bit pricey, and our only negative was that everything on the buffet was cold. But the service was fantastic and I especially appreciated when a gentelman serving meat offered to cook mine a little more and then brought it back perfectly cooked (for my liking)."

  • "So overall this place was ok but we were not impressed that the desert cost so much for so little and the fact we thought desert came with the buffet. We wouldn't have ordered dessert if we knew it was not free. So in the end our bill was not Desirable due to the added cost"

  • "The atmosphere was fantastic, salad was excellent, the meat was exceptional. Our waitress was ok, she did not take our plates away so when we came back from the salad bar we had to stack our plates on top of the old ones. She did not give us quality checks so we had to wait awhile for other drinks. Otherwise we had a fantastic time. I just would not like to have the same server."

  • "Nice salad bar, I liked there 18 yearold balsamic vinegar. Enjoyed having tasty selctions of meat brought right to my table and the efficiency of the table flip card."

  • "smelled better then it was, the meat was dry and over cooked on several screws the salad bar was great some old items, like tom/cheese would be nice to have some fruit Server was way to busy for us, she had a nice smile music was quiet couldn't relax as there was no ambience to fill the air eat -eat if that's what you want for the $$"

  • "Pampa was a slight disappointment. My husband and I both love barbecued meat so were expecting to be wowed by the 10 different cuts, however we weren't. their house specialty cocktail was delicious but after that things went downhill. our server seemed surprised and annoyed that we didn't want to order the $75 recommended wine. (we each ordered a glass of wine instead). The atmosphere was busy and unromantic to say the least, although most of the patrons that evening were couples. The salad bar was good, but not great. Lots of items to choose from but no one dish stands out as anything I'd need to go back for. Most of the meat was very salty, indicating to us poor quality and lack of care put into their dishes. We will not be returning."

  • "It was our first time to Pampa Brazilian Steakhouse. Our round table by the window was perfect, and set the tone for our dining experience. We will return, but only on very special occasions due to the cost. The experience was above our budget range."
    Dined on 4/6/2014
  • "The atmosphere was loud and very busy, you have to be in and out in 2 hours. The salad bar was fair at the best, the meats were ok. For what he had the bill was very expensive, would not return."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "I enjoyed my experience at Pampa, however it is quite pricey so I don't feel the need to return. The food was great, lots to choose from at the sides/salad buffet. The gluten free mini cheese buns are awesome!! I had the fresh watermelon juice and the Q water to drink, I know people complain about paying for the water, but I was aware prior to my visit, so it didn't bother me, the juice was delicious!! We did not partake in the deserts as were too full and at a minimum of $9, we didn't feel that the portion size fit the price. All in all, I am glad I went for the experience, but don't have the desire to return due to the price point."

  • "Came for my bday dinner with the hubby. Very romantic and cozy, beautiful design. It was quiet for a Thursday, I'd like to check it out on a Fri or Sat evening. Food was good, lots of choice at the salad bar, and the quality was decent. The guys with the scewers were awesome, always served the lady first and were a pleasure. Service was wonderful."

  • "The food was absolutely delicious.. Of the seven or eight meats I tried I loved all but one and my husband loved them all. The buffet /salad bar was delicious and we enjoyed everything but the potatoes ( maybe just not our style ) all superbly fresh ingredients with amazing presentation . Of particular note was the huge round of fresh Parmesan cheese! Service was excellent .:the best we've seen in Edmonton. .. desert was to die for and the the house specialty after dinner drink is a MUST! Overall fabulous . The beer, drinks and deserts are a bit expensive but the main course at $50pp all you can eat is perfect reasonable for the quantity and quality. Fabulous!"

  • "If you are a meat lover Pampa is for you! Having travelled to Brazil in 2007 I can vouch that Pampa is the real thing. This is as close to authentic Brazilian cuisine as you will find in Edmonton. Don't expect to be blown away by the décor-it's pretty plain and it echoes a bit but if you're there to dine you won't be disappointed. Skewers of beef, pork, chicken and sausage make the rounds frequently. The buffet is more than adequate although nothing special. Having said that the food was fresh and plentiful. Brazilians aren't big on their vegetables but if you're dining at Pampas you're coming for the meat. The roast beef is probably the best I've had in Edmonton and it really is all you can eat. Enjoy!!!"
