Best to call and tell them special needs, such as large groups outside. The pluses are outdoor dining on the beach, knowledgable service, and OK food. The minuses are OK food and difficulty getting cab back out of the residential area where Pamela's is located.
The salmon tatar was very good. The organic salad was unremarkable - lettuce, a couple of croutons and a citrus dressing. My wife's mahi mahi was OK, but boring, plain rice. I opted for the daily special - beef churrasco with pinapple chimichurri. It was flavorless and very oily (I know it is olive oil) and had no zip.
It seems that the quality of the food is on a down tick - too bad, we love the setting. The food at Jams - A Rum Bar had it beat hand's down.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLocated on ocean beach. Offered great local color. Juan, our server, was so friendly and accommodating. He spent extra time with us talking about PR. We enjoyed generous portions of ceviche, calamari and salmon tartare as appetizers and had snapper and a langoustines special as entrees. All delicious. Reasonable prices as well. One night with our feet in the sand on the beach and the other in doors on a windy night (a little tight). Service was friendy, helpful and prompt without being intrusive. Food selection was good and food was well prepared and delicious. A little pricey but not over priced.
