The server happily exchanged it but it took a long time for the replacement to arrive and only after I asked about it. The restaurant had become quite busy and the servers did not seem as organized as usual. The food we had was very good, particularly the salmon. The server was friendly and apologized for the delay. We will happily return as Palomino continues to be very good and generally the service is able and courteous.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter was greatWe had planned for this to be a date night for my wife and I, but things went awry and our daughter (13 years old) came with us. Our waiter was very helpful and nice. He made us all feel at home and treated our daughter like she was an adult. I can't remember his name but he made it an overall great experience.
I lived in Seattle for 30 years and on Capitol Hill for 25. We moved to find a house we could afford and are now in Pierce County. I so miss the city but have not been there to eat, in a few years. Your restaurant was recommended to me by a friend, so we went there. It was a nice experience.

We asked to split a seafood salad after our starters and the restaurant accommodated us with a nicely presented serving.
We expect consistent and friendly service at Palomino and they deliver it.

The food is primarily Italian style but they do offer fish and steak and a nice assortment of wines and cocktails We always enjoy taking friends with us and enjoying the open atmosphere.

The knowledgeable waitstaff went beyond the menu to attend to our desires. The staff was attentive, pleasant, and memorable. The entrees for our party were upgraded on this occasion from the excellent pork and mouth pleasing chicken to the Copper River Salmon and Tuscan Filet. Both were worth the higher price and became the brag of the evening.
After the theater, dessert and coffee in the bar were perfect endings to our evening. The donuts were to savor and the gelato was smooth. The only negative was the broccolini on the plate ... odd tasting and over done.

The food is good, pretty standard, I like going here but I wouldn't say I ever die to come here to have a specific dish, but when I want a good meal, it's definitley on the top of my list. It's actually hard to find good places in downtown for lunch. Either they are too fancy and expensive or they are food carts and dive places in the market.
