This Mother's Day I took my neighbor to brunch.....we usually meet once a month in the bar area for Happy Hour but this was special. The buffet was delicious except for the chicken marsala which was cold and bland. Everything else was superb. I made a reservation and no wait time. Traffic caused us to run a few minutes late so we called and we were told that if we weren't there by 7:45 they'd give our table away. I ordered the mushroom soup which didn't live up to the hype-I thought it would be richer and it didn't have the full-bodied taste I expected. My wife had the Salmon and Shrimp Scampi special which was very good and I had the Paella and added Scallops to it. It was also very good; a bit on the spicy side and after having the appetizer and soup, I left some in the bowl. We were seated at a two-top table beside the window that overlooked Fountain Square--very nice! I was concerned about that because of previous reviews that I read, but the food was delicious. Get the Chicken under a brick, it was amazing. We had a complimentary dessert for his b-day. Overall wonderful experience I will DEFINITELY be coming back! We were having a lunch meeting that actually ran a little long and not once did we feel like the staff was rushing us out of the dining room to prep for later service. Menu changes monthly and a nice selection of really different creations where you can "add" things like shrimp, chicken, etc. to personalize the meal. Colleague had a delicious pomodoro pasta with shrimp. Per her request they added onions and spinach and she was a happy person. Wednesdays are half price bottle nights for wine, and we took advantage of an excellent pinot noir from a really nice wine list. I had an incredibly tasty and flavorful paella. Didn't need to add any shrimp or anything. I love it spicy and it was just right, not American bland. We also split a Crab Louie salad as a starter, and it, too was delicious with fresh shrimp and crab.
