Would highly recommend this restaurant.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day DinHad a group of 5 in the back room for Mother's Day din. The table was a little close to the air conditioner. Asked the waiter to turn it off which made the table much more comfortable. Service was a little slow. The wrong bottle of wine was brought out at first. The food though was excellent.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty Italian on CorneliaPalm is tucked away on a little street int he West Village. The space looks very unassuming. There is a nice garden room as well as an inddor intimate dining room. Tasty food. Try the fried artichokes - best I've had since my trip to Venice. Another must try is the zuppa di pesce.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMBeth's Birthday DinnerWe arrived with a party of 7 on a Sat nite. We were originally seated in the small main part of the restaurant, next to the bar. Very cramped seating, and of course very noisy. They were nice enough to make a large private room available to us, even though the room has a 10 person minimum. It was a fabulous room, and made the birthday dinner a success.
The food and the service were outstanding as well. It was a great experience!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA charming restaurant withA charming restaurant with terrrific food and service. Great ambience, pretty to look at. Only flaw is how noisy it gets in the front room near the bar once the place fills up.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMNew favorite place! We were introduced to Palma on a walking tour stop and have been back several times. The food is terrific, the service is most friendly and, most of all, we feel like we're in Italy or with family in Brooklyn many years ago!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMlovelyThis was my second visit to Palma and first for Brunch. There were four of us and all meals were good except mine. The eggs in tomato sauce were cold and it was a tiny portion with a few greens. The French toast and other dishes looked great though! The garden is lovely and staff are very good.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't miss mealComing to town for the weekend we were looking for great food and unique authentic atmosphere. We could not have found better. The food was as good as any place I've been, the servicer was knowledgable, attentive and energetic and the environment and decor were perfect for enjoying the dining experience while comfortably catching up with friends.
It was an absolute can't miss dining experience!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were so happy to sit inWe were so happy to sit in "the garden" even though temps outside were cool that evening, but they have a retractable roof, and fresh cut flowers as flowers weren't growing yet. Such a pleasant atmosphere after such a crumby long winter!
We had lots of attention from the bartender and the waitress as we had a 6PM reservation and arrived early. By the time we left, it got crowded and noisy in the little garden.
Food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented.
Will have this on my (growing) list of favorites!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Palma. The food isWe love Palma. The food is always delicious and ambiance is perfect. This time I went with my boyfriend, even he was impressed with all of the fresh flowers hanging from the walls in the open garden area. I had the grouper - it was very fresh and tasty. He had the lamb chops - delicous. We shared the truffle fettucine. The wine list doesn't disappoint. We shared a bottle of Pino Nero recommended by the host.

Great Food, Location and atmosphere. Would definitely go back.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden GemI am so grateful to OpenTable. We were going out with friends and I decided we were NOT going to our usual default restaurants. It was going to be a beautiful evening and I wanted to be downtown. I searched our reservation time and Greenwich Village and one of the most highly recommended restaurants was Palma. And those reviewers were right. Charming and secluded, vibrant and warm, the ambience, food, wine and service were all wonderful. I have already recommended Palma to friends and I intend to return. We were fortunate to sit in the garden space and the air was lovely. Inside tables look great as well. Could not more highly recommend Palma.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMCocktails at the bar firstCocktails at the bar first were great. In the dining room, the service was impeccable, as was the food! Will definitely be going back.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPalma is our favorite restaurantPalma is our favorite restaurant in NYC, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit in the garden. The food is amazing. The hardest part is deciding what to have. It is great to order multiple things and share. We have been here several times and everything-both food and drink was outstanding. The specials of the day usually include a grilled or roasted fish which is both beautiful and delicious. The pasta is so fresh and served with a creative combination of things. The staff are warm, welcoming and attentive. The entire evening surpasses an outstanding meal and is an experience that makes you feel like you have spent an evening in a beautiful Sicilian garden. We cannot wait to go back.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious in every way. TheDelicious in every way. The eggplant appy and the steak were fantastic. Crispy artichoke was interesting, but wouldn't have that again. Two others had pastas at our table and they raved about them. Would definitely go back!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, quintessentialDelicious food, quintessential West Village gem with a historic ambience. We talk about our delicious meals long after our visits. This small, quiet place has excellent food and service. Our favorite is the gnocchi. Check out their website to find a delicious menu with a variety of Italian food in the West Village. It was too cold to sit out on their new patio, but it looked wonderful for nice weather. This place was perfect. Food & service was outstanding. Restaurant is small like most NYC restaurants, but very romantic. It was exactly what we desired.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss this Village gem!We discovered Palma on our trip to New York in 2012, and loved it, so ate here again in 2013 - and it was even better the second time. The food, the wait staff, the atmosphere, all are top-notch. It's a perfect spot in a great location. I'm sure we'll be back next year!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice small Italian neighborhooVery nice small Italian neighborhood restaurant , wonderful family run business and lovely romantic , vibrant colorful patio area in the back .. greek like atmosphere . Also some lovely private dining room areas that use to be the residence of the owners and now converted to small function rooms, one for 10 people and one for 20 people , very quaint and nice for relaxed business luncheon , or food and wine tasting groups.
Enjoyed our lunch immensely and will be back for the Calamari , which they graciously prepared for us and the pasta and branzini was also wonderful .

I happened to book a reservation at palmas as a spur of the moment type of decision, but the experience I had there made me want to come back many times over. Aside from how beautiful the Bleecker st can be on Saturday afternoons, the restaurant itself has a very comforting vibe. The food feels like your grandma freshly just prepared it for you. I would definitely go many times again, I recommend anyone who's looking for a cute, casual, comforting spot with amazing food to check out Palmas!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe sat in garden room whichWe sat in garden room which was beautiful but chilly. The fried artichokes are a must! Upon entering, it appears to be a small and modest space. Behind the restuarant is a lovely green house garden room (temperature controlled so it's open all year). Beyond the greenhouse there is also a carriage house in which you can dine privately with your own group and order from a "family style" menu. The ambiance is very nice, but I rate it only "good" because the furniture, especially in the garden, is not substantial and could be a bit more comfortable. Definitely worth a visit1/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLooking for variety, we hadLooking for variety, we had a lovely dinner there (it was of course cold, but the garden was covered and heated, so we were in the garden, which is quite pleasant and quieter than a room would be). The seared tuna appetizer was excellent as were the lamb chops; the ravioli and grouper were quite good. Our server recommended a very nice $60 Italian red which was really quite good (and better than its usual price competitors). All in all a lovely evening. We will go back and recommend to friends.12/29/2012 12:00:00 AMGood authentic Italian foodGood authentic Italian food in a rustic intimate atmosphere.12/22/2012 12:00:00 AMService and Food were exceptional.Service and Food were exceptional.
