Diner Reviews
  • "Another great experience last Friday night. Fried Green tomatoes and broiled oysters were excellent, as was blackened Mahi with grits and greens, Ahi Tuna and Trout. Excellent service provided by Christina."

  • "Every time we visit from New York we make it a point to have dinner at Palm valley"

  • "This place is designed to be noisy, crowded and friendly. Its part of the ambiance and if you are looking for that kind of a night, it seems to work. We found the food to be very good across the board. Our server was knowledgeable and well trained. They charged for bread and encouraged first course orders, so the bill added up even though the entrees are moderately priced. The specials came with a vegetable, the regular entrees did not. Shrimp and grits were delicious, but were just that, shrimp and grits. Regardless, we enjoyed the night. Reservations are recommended."

  • "I've never had a bad meal! The specials are too good to pass up!"

  • "Always excellent! We go when we are in Ponte Vedra every year usually a couple of times. Love it!"

  • "Still the best restaurant in Ponte Vedra. The ladies are the best you will ever encounter at service. Do not miss this great place when in Jacksonville."

  • "Best seafood around. The Shrimp n grits and the mussels are no. 1!"

  • "Great food, but tables packed like sardines. Very noisy. Sure younger crowd will not mind"

  • "We were seated 30 minutes after reservation time, altho they did apologize & give us 1 free glass of wine ( not 1 each); extremely loud & boisterous, we couldn't hear each other. Food was very good, service was fine. This time the quality of the food did not offset the wait & noise"

  • "After a tremendous dinner, my wife and I decided to return for lunch two days later. The fried seafood platter at dinner included sweet bay scallops and shrimp, both of which were some of the best we've had (and we both have enjoyed some great seafood restaurants). The shrimp and grits dish was also terrific. For lunch, we both went with the shrimp salad sandwich, which we also raved about. Bottom line - this restaurant is hard to beat."

  • "By far the best tasting and freshest seafood. Awesome selection of dishes. Their shrimp-n-grits is by far the best that I have ever had. Always make a point to eat here when on vacation at Ponte Vedra Beach. Loud atmosphere mostly due to the size of the building, but great for groups."

  • "The food at Palm Valley was delicious and the service was great. Andy took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. My salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband loved his fried oysters. We can't wait to go back again!"

  • "A very good experience each of the four times I have been here. Casual, energetic, welcoming and attractive. High quality, fresh seafood, prepared in a variety of popular ways. Positive ratio of cost to quality. Highly recommended."

  • "We like to bring visitors to PVFC to enjoy the scenic view and feel of "Old Florida". They have great daily menu choices and the food is always delicious. The service is always great too. Make a reservation, or you'll be waiting! Although, good things come to those who wait....."

  • "We have been going to PV for years and this is by far our favorite spot. Consistent, fresh and great service."

  • "Palm Valley Fish Camp is always on our itinerary when we're in town. It made it twice this trip! Fresh fish, creative entrees and all around appetizing menu. Loved the crawfish, watermelon salad, shrimp & grits, snapper, fried green tomatoes and the bread pudding is transforming. I hear the steaks are amazing, but I just can't bring myself to pass up one of the fish entrees to taste it myself."

  • "PVFC was a great place for dinner, food amazing and the service was impeccable. The noise level was pretty high and I would consider this before bringing older people to eat there."

  • "This is a little gem that was recommended to us by friends from our church. Love the location on the Intracoastal Waterway; this adds to an already excellent scenic view with the trees across the ICW. Really enjoyed the dock on the back and the chairs that give guests the opportunity to relax on the waterfront before or after their meal. My wife and I had seafood platters; she had fish and shrimp, while I had shrimp and oysters. The seafood was cooked perfectly, while the grits had a very different flavor. The grits not only were cooked with cream, but had a little clam stock in the mixture, which gave it a very different taste and texture. The parmesan cheese added a different bite to the taste. A nice place to visit again."

  • "You can always count on the food being delicious. My favorite restaurant. Not really what you would think of as a "fish camp" but it is on the water and has a boat dock and docking facility for 2 or 3 boats."

  • "Food was good, maybe a bit too fried and heavy but delicious ."

  • "We've been here 3 times and everytime thoroughly enjoy. Sat outside and loved the peaceful surrounding...wish they would place a few tables closer to intercoastal for a water view."

  • "...with a great combination of fresh menu choices, a bright environment with a nice view of the Intracoastal Waterway, and prompt, courteous service. Seating is limited, so making a reservation for popular times or days would be a wise choice."

  • "This restaurant was amazing!! Casual, low key but upscale, fresh food. The beet salad was amazing!!! Great place to go with the family, date night or with friends!!"

  • "Palm Valley Fish Camp was recommended by a friend and it was one of the best recommendations I have ever gotten. The blackened Mahi was the best I have ever had. I fish for Mahi a lot and cook it fresh myself, never as good as theirs."

  • "Food was delicious! Atmosphere was fun and vibrant! Great view of the Intracoastal."
    Dined on 6/25/2014
  • "Always a winner. PVFC is tucked away on the intracoastal in somewhat residential neighborhood. Food is fresh, fish is local, staff is knowledgable and the only negative is the noise level. I recommend dining early before the crowd. Outside dining is lovely too."

  • "After trying several other restaurants in the area, we came upon this gem. Being from Charleston SC, we know great seafood. This Resturant is better than most in Charleston. We told them we wished they would open one in Charleston and they said they were. When they open, we will have standing reservations! Strongly recommend eating here!!!"

  • "We found this great neighborhood gem through our hotel and are we thankful! The food is fit for foodies and the wine list is very comprehensive. We went back a second time in the same week! Whether you seek a cold beer at the bar or a fresh fish dinner - get the Grouper - this place will have you coming back for more. The staff is fun and eager to please. When I'm in Ponte Vedra I will eat at the Palm Valley Fish Camp."

  • "We ate at the PV fish camp with family from out of town. It was our first visit and we had been advised by friends to do two things: make reservations and try the bread pudding. We had a party of 7 (which included my two children under age of 6) and we sat comfortably at our table. We had several appetizers, our favorite were the scallops. They were flavorful and melted in our mouth. All of the fish meals were fresh including the kids fish sticks and portions were perfect. For our dessert we ordered the bread pudding, absolutely fabulous! Well all had a great time and look forward to our next visit."

  • "I knew that Marker 32 owns Palm Valley Fish Camp. So I thought I'd check it out. The restaurant is very cute, and very inviting. When you walk in you are greeted by a display of fish on ice and a lot of bottles of wine. They have so much wine they store it under the bench seats in the dining area. We were promptly and warmly greeted. once seated our waiter got us some beverages and explained the specials. After we mulled it over the waiter appeared right on schedule to take our order. We had 2 appetizers--calamari, and conch fritters. Both were yummy. My wife had the Baja fish tacos which she loved and I had the fried shrimp and oyster platter. Both meals were served with steak cut fries. Please support this restaurant they are deserving."

  • "The food was excellent, everyone had a different entree, all fish dishes that night. Service was wonderful. This is our third time going and it is 20 miles away from us but well worth it."

  • "We had a group of 8 for Saturday night family dinner. Had reservations for 8:30 for 6. Restaurant added two more people with no trouble and only a few minute wait. Drinks and appetizers came quickly but dinner entrees were a 40 minute wait. Food was worth the wait and was very good. Only problem was the high noise level. Will go back again."

  • "Hardly do food reviews. But this is worth it. Great shrimp and grits and fried food. Best chicken tenders anywhere for kids. Reserve early"

  • "We have eaten here many times. This time we were disappointed. We ordered the crawfish appetizer, which we never received. When our entrees came out and I inquired about the appetizer, they had forgotten about it. The only offer was they could get it now. Who wants their appetizer after the entree? The crab leg in the low country boil was over cooked and the dish had only 3 mussels in it."

  • "The food was great. Place is very small, so it tends to get pretty loud. Definitely not a "romantic" scene."
