Once again, PV Fish Camp did not disappoint. We had a group of 8 for a late lunch around 2 p.m. on a beautiful, chilly Tuesday. Four of our guests were in town from Wisconsin and raved about the food and the service. They appreciate fresh seafood, something us Floridians are lucky enough to enjoy all year. Upon arrival, Steve, the manager, greeted each one of us and welcomed us into the restaurant. Brian, our server, was pleasant, efficient, and explained the specials clearly. Due to the Wisconsin guests having to catch a 5 p.m. flight, we placed orders quickly and the food was delivered promptly - all perfectly cooked and delicious. Mike, one of the talented chefs, came out to the table to find out how everyone was enjoying their choices. In and out in an hour, having enjoyed another fabulous meal at one of Jacksonville's best restaurants, everyone left very pleased, speaking highly of the experience.

The restaurant never fails to live up to or surpass expectations. The seafood is some of the best in this entire area - fresh, well-prepared, delicious. We always enjoy coming to Palm Valley Fish Camp for either lunch or dinner. The only "flaw" of this most recent visit is that there was a wedding party of 30 or so people and the noise level was way too "energetic" for real enjoyment of our dinner. This restaurant is not very big so that party took up half the available space. Four of us were there to celebrate two birthdays and we could barely hear our waiter or ourselves, so conversation was difficult. But in terms of food, it was wonderful as always.

When visiting friends in JAX, we've found a few very good and very reliable local dining spots. But when a colleague of mine suggested we try the Palm Valley Fish Camp, I put it on my list. I'm glad I did. Though very hard to get into (an OpenTable reservation is the only way to go), and little out of the way, it's well worth the effort. The regular menu has a ton of great dishes, but I chose the cast iron-roasted flounder. Hands-down, it's one of the best seafood entrees I have ever tasted. The others at my table also made great choices, and we all left with smiles on our faces. You can't go wrong here - put it on your list!

We always enjoy our meal here. Always consistent with nice southern style offerings. We normally do the seafood choices here but could not resist the ribeye special and we were not disappointed. It was cooked and flavored perfectly. I also like the wine menu. Reasonable prices for a nice bottle. I love Sangiovese and they had an offering. Don't often find it in resturants.

This place is just fantastic. The service is amazing. Our daughter didn't like anything on the kids' menu, but we didn't want to pay for the adult portions. When we explained what she liked in fish, the server knew exactly what she wanted and said, "We will make it work." And they did!! You just can't go wrong here!

Warm reception at this waterway restaurant. Features seafood which is extremely well prepared, especially the locally harvested shrimp. Interesting menu items and preparations beyond the seafood items. Strong wine list including many by-the-glass choices. Outdoor dining capacity is limited and was full on both our visits. A few of the indoor tables offer waterway views. Attentive service.

We had a group of 7 and it took over 3 hours to have our dinner. Service was very lacking - and waiter seemed like he didn't want to serve us - speaking very quickly when ever we asked him to describe a dish and not coming back for up to 30 minutes at a time. Went without drinks often and food was served cold. Too bad because the flavor and dishes in general were very tasty. If you have lots of time to waste and want cold dishes - this is your place.

Wonderful restaurant with excellent food. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and either the manager or owner as well. Upon them greeting us we knew that this was a place that provided caring service. Our waiter, Douglas, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions and provided superb service. The fried green tomatoes are the bomb! Also had oysters for an appetizer. It was a special for the evening. and was basically a cross between oysters rockefeller and clams casino, Excellent. Should be a regular menu item. Good wine selection by the glass. Our flight was delayed so we arrived late, around 9:20 PM, they close at 10:00, but we never felt rushed. Excellent place and worth a visit.

An upscale fish camp for a fine dining experience to my mind. The same owners operate several of these locally, but the Palm Valley location might be the best. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. The only noise outside is large fans, which serve several useful purposes (including airflow and blowing away mosquitoes). We would definitely recommend and are repeat diners here.

Late seating our reservation. Draft beer was broken. Our server was too busy to tell us about the menu/specials in legible manner. Dining room was crowded; employees didn't want to ask a rude guest to pull in his chair so they bumped our pregnant guest every time they walked by. Had the mussels appetizer, it was the only thing that was good about our meal. Gator tail was about 8 pieces, it was over cooked and too salty. Entree was nothing to rave about, somewhat blan flavor. The spicy seafood pasta dish came out without the spices ever being added. Only thing they were good at was selling us beer while we waited. Won't be going back.
