  • "This is a little gem that was recommended to us by friends from our church. Love the location on the Intracoastal Waterway; this adds to an already excellent scenic view with the trees across the ICW. Really enjoyed the dock on the back and the chairs that give guests the opportunity to relax on the waterfront before or after their meal. My wife and I had seafood platters; she had fish and shrimp, while I had shrimp and oysters. The seafood was cooked perfectly, while the grits had a very different flavor. The grits not only were cooked with cream, but had a little clam stock in the mixture, which gave it a very different taste and texture. The parmesan cheese added a different bite to the taste. A nice place to visit again."

  • "We ate at the PV fish camp with family from out of town. It was our first visit and we had been advised by friends to do two things: make reservations and try the bread pudding. We had a party of 7 (which included my two children under age of 6) and we sat comfortably at our table. We had several appetizers, our favorite were the scallops. They were flavorful and melted in our mouth. All of the fish meals were fresh including the kids fish sticks and portions were perfect. For our dessert we ordered the bread pudding, absolutely fabulous! Well all had a great time and look forward to our next visit."

We told them we wished they would open one in Charleston and they said they were. When they open, we will have standing reservations! Strongly recommend eating here!!!"

  • "This is where we take ALL our out of town guests at least once during their stay! My husband and I stumbled onto this Fish Camp a year ago and waited 30-45 minutes just to sit at the bar (couldn't even get a table), and boy was it worth it! We've now learned to make a reservation several days in advance. Great little place with the friendliest staff. They serve the BEST Crab Cakes you'll ever have! In fact, my husband upgrades them with a fried oyster topper that can't be beat (not on the menu, but just ask). Our other favorite is their Pimento Cheese Spread, and we order it every time. Their other locations (North Beach and Julington Creek) are great too, but this is our favorite."

  • "I knew that Marker 32 owns Palm Valley Fish Camp. So I thought I'd check it out. The restaurant is very cute, and very inviting. When you walk in you are greeted by a display of fish on ice and a lot of bottles of wine. They have so much wine they store it under the bench seats in the dining area. We were promptly and warmly greeted. once seated our waiter got us some beverages and explained the specials. After we mulled it over the waiter appeared right on schedule to take our order. We had 2 appetizers--calamari, and conch fritters. Both were yummy. My wife had the Baja fish tacos which she loved and I had the fried shrimp and oyster platter. Both meals were served with steak cut fries. Please support this restaurant they are deserving."

Drinks and appetizers came quickly but dinner entrees were a 40 minute wait. Food was worth the wait and was very good. Only problem was the high noise level. Will go back again."

When our entrees came out and I inquired about the appetizer, they had forgotten about it. The only offer was they could get it now. Who wants their appetizer after the entree? The crab leg in the low country boil was over cooked and the dish had only 3 mussels in it."

  • "Could not get a reservation for Saturday night but was told the outside tables turn over quickly and shouldn't be more than a 15-30 minute wait. arrived and was told 45 minute wait. After 1.5 hours we were finally seated. Would not have waited if I knew it would take that long. Would have been nice if the restaurant provided us with a free appetizer or something while we waited on their deck. Food and service was good but nothing amazing. I ordered seafood and pasta and asked for medium spicy. Had no spiciness at all and very little seafood. Other guests had ribeye, shrimp and grits, and blackened mahi. All were good, mahi had no spiciness at all (so why call it blackened?). Probably would not go back."

I have been there several times and I have concluded that although the dinner menu has a few stellar additions over lunch, the service is drastically reduced. It's been open too long to excuse a 40 minute delayed reservation seating, 15 delayed drink order, and 30 minute wait for food after ordering."
