We asked for something not on the menu, and the chef accommodated us in grand style. Our waiter was right on with his selections and service and his personality made the evening even more enjoyable. On Saturday, 4/27/13, I had, as ALWAYS,another fantastic evening. Tina showed me my table and I asked about Sean, Asst. Manager, who I have known for a long time and then had the pleasure of Alex as my waiter. I also saw two of my favorite waiters, Daniel and Shel. My hearts of palm salad, ice cold martini, rib eye and mashed potatoes were sublime. I topped it off with key lime pie which was marvelous. I can only dream of my next meal there. Love the West Hollywood Palm and so do the patrons who consider it to be like coming to a Club, or being in New York. We have been going here for years, and the service and food is impeccable. We started off with the picked crab, and the shrimp cocktail. Best shrimp we have had in years! Then for our mains we had the bone in Rib-Eye , Chicken Parmesean and Green Beans, all delicious! We also got the 7 layer chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream that was too die for!

Ambiance and atmosphere are old Hollywood and a little stuffy with dark mellow lighting. I would recommend for family dinners, special occasions and big groups. Wait staff are impeccable from making sure your water glass never reaches empty to up to the minute food updates. Fun and lighthearted while still serving delicious food. I have not had such a large one before and while this one was good and meaty, it was not as sweet as the 2 pounders I usually get. The side dishes were very good though the portions are not as generous as Fleming's or Ruth's Chris. Also the melting chocolate cake is not quite up to Roy's or some others I have had. I would not say the food was any better than the competitors, Ruth's Chris, Mortons, Mastro's, and Fleming's but it was great to have a server who was truly interested in our having a fine experience.
