My guest and I ordered Lamb chops, a bone in New York Steak and Crab cakes, along with salads that were fine. The steak lacked flavor and the lamb was disappointing, I have been to different Palm Restaurants dozens of times, I am concerned that they are loosing their focus on excellence---"

  • "My husband and I have date nights every Saturday. We try and go to The Palm twice per month if not more. We find the ambience and overall staff very welcoming. We stop at the bar and have a Martini and then to our table for a delicious dinner. We leave with a smile. Lauren is always sweet and personable as well as Dragon recognizing us and saying hello."

  • "Four of us shared one Gigi salad, steamed spinach, goat cheese whipped potatoes, and veal chops. My friend and I shared, and our husbands each ate a whole chop. Everything was perfectly prepared except one veal chop that was too rare. We sent it back for more fire and were pleased it came back medium rare--not overcooked as often happens when you send something back. Our server was fabulous. We had no coffee or dessert, and the bill was about $200, not including wine. We have been going to the West Hollywood Palm since it opened, and we usually have steaks, lobster, or the veal parmigiana (best in town). Sometimes the lobsters are a bit overdone, but the steaks never disappoint. It's always a great evening at The Palm."

  • "Whenever I have a special occasion to celebrate, it's at the Palm Restaurant. I started eating at the Palm in NYC and frequent the one in Las Vegas and the one in West Hollywood. I have never been disappointed with the service and the quality and taste of the steaks, lobsters, salads and desserts. This is the real old fashion steak house experience. I highly recommend it."

I went with something off menu that used to be a Palm specialty: Stone Steak which is New York Strip sliced over pimentos, onions & white bread. They did the best they could but didn't have the large pimentos and they forgot the white bread. Nevertheless, it was very good!"

  • "We go to the Palm regularly, usually to celebrate special occasions, as it is not an inexpensive place. But it's worth every penny. The waiters treat you like royalty. I had this fabulous cocktail with rum, ginger and lime - tasty and refreshing. My husband had delectable clams casino - I stole one, enjoying those juicy, crunchy bits of bacon over the chewy clam. I had fantastic simply broiled sea bass - so sweet, fresh, almost like a fish that was butter in a past life. My friend Nancy's lobster tail looked fantastic - and she devoured every bite. The potatoes au gratin, as always, were creamy and incredibly rich. My husband's rib eye was cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned. Worth every penny."

  • "Dan the bartender was great, enjoyed his company. Tim the waiter we wonderful, the chicken we ordered was very dry and we sent it back, he took it off the bill and offered my husband anything else he wanted, the salmon was wonderful as always. Glad I am a member of the 837 and will continue coming to you great restruant. Love the smile and happy greetings when we walked into the door. Thanks again and whenever we are in West Hollywood we will continue to dine with you."

  • "We love the Palm Restaurants but going into The ladies room in west LA makes us rethink going back to West LA restaurant. It was in dire need of remodel unkept and smelly. For the price of the meal you would expect more. We will try another LA location next time. However, one the bright side our server Could not have been better. He was italian from Bologna. Probably one of our top servers of all time. Food was good But the fruit was out of season and tasteless. I would recommend to remove it from menu instead of serving tasteless fruit."

  • "I am a gourmet and like to spend money for great food. Was looking for a steakhouse seafood place in west LA, ended up booking at Palms. Dated decor, most patrons are older people and nice, reception staff were courteous and got us our table on time, waitress was good and attentive, drinks are on the expensive side but strong, wine list is great, our veal milanese was slightly burned in some areas, the filet mignon with bone supposed to be aged, medium rare, was chewy and overcooked ,size and quality don't match a $ 59 price, my mignon was below average. ordered crispy fries, they came soft, we asked to make it more crispy, she brought us dark brown burned tasting fries !!! may be my expectations were too high for the Palm."

  • "My family has been eating at the Palm for over 30 years. My dad and I are 837 club members. I reserved a booth for our family's dinner. Aside from the fact they made us wait, the hostess tried to out us in the booth next to the kitchen. My dad asked to move. But then we were moved to a smaller booth way in the back. My dad knows Tanya the manager and finally she moved to a nice booth. Last thing the lobster delivery didn't show up."

  • "I love the old school looks of the restaurant. The wedge salad was different with French fried onions on top yet super delicious and one of the best I have ever had. The chicken parm was good and the people at the table that got steak said it was amazing. The bathrooms are in a very inconvenient location in the back corner of the restaurant. This would not be that bad but the restaurant is cramped and the floors are SUPER slick."

  • "I ordered a $55 bone-in ribeye only to find it full of gristle. I informed the server that I did not believe prime beef should be like this. She happily sent it back and had the chef cook another steak. However, when the next steak arrived, it was as thin as a one you'd find in a grocery case. This was the worst steak experience I've ever had at a Palm location."

The only disappointment was my friend was looking forward to prime rib and was told they no longer serve it at this location. A nice New York Strip eased the disappointment and we both left very full. Great time as always."

  • "I have eaten at Palm West Hollywood on a couple of occasions previously due to its proximity to the Troubadour. I have also eaten at Palm at a number of there other locations in the US. I have always been impressed with the quality of the food and service. On this occasion I ordered a medium rare steak that in my view was overcooked. I asked the waitress to replace with a correctly cooked steak, after a very brief discussion with the manager this was agreed and a perfectly cooked steak was provided. In addition the manager provided fresh hot side dishes when the new steak arrived and also returned to ensure my steak was to my liking. I would also recommend the brussel sprouts with lemon zest, a perfect accompaniment to a steak."

  • "Before a show at the Troubadour, we had lovely steaks and a gigi salad. The place was packed in a good way and energetic. Great spot for wine lovers & meat eaters plus older single ladies with all the guys that flood this place. This is the only time I haven't been tended to immediately and I've been here 50 times so I will say the service was slow for us but that's never happened before."

  • "The service was exceedingly slow. We were ignored by our server for most of the meal. We were told our meal (that was very delayed) would be brought out in 2 minutes, but it really took 20. We were given multiple excuses. We thought as a courtesy we might have been offered a glass of wine, but NADA. We're been going to the Palm for 30 years. Our usual server was not there. I hope this is not an indication of a deterioration in service at the Palm. There seems to have been a changeover is staff as well aa the GM. HELP !!!!!!!"

  • "Been a regular here for over 30 years, but everyone is treated like a speacial guest. Still the Best Steak, Lobster and specialties in town. Best servers (not actors [nothing against actors] or inexperienced kids passing through) This is their real job, and they do it better than anyone else in town. The food comes out hot, like it should, cooked to perfection--everything always spot-on! This is why you come back, over and over. Just can't say enough. This is the Real Deal. They still blow away all the new "Steakhouses" in town. Thanks to S and D!"

  • "Excellent bar service. Generous drinks. Server was informative and attentive, whenever he was near our table. Food quality was mediocre. I am used to excellent meals at the Palm. The food was good but not as good as expected. Either the steak knives were dull or the NY steaks and rib eye's were tough. The side dishes were not served hot. The baked potato was undercooked and served plain; no butter, sour cream, chives, bacon, etc. I had to ask for butter and extras several times. Desert donuts were overcooked and hard. Needed a hammer and chisel to cut. Overall, I think the restaurant is trying to serve a lot of meals with too few staff. The result is adequate, but not what the Palm is known for."
