  • "A friend and I dined at the Palm. I had a 4 lb lobster and he had a strip steak. We combined, and it was my best ever Surf and Turf. The notable thing about this Palm is the quality of service. It is always first rate. There management sets a very high standard, and the wait staff delivers. The reason I keep going is that they make me feel very special."

  • "We were surprised at how empty the restaurant was. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic. However, one entree for our party of 5 was incorrect (it was quickly replaced with the correct meal) and the medium steak had to be returned to be cooked from its rare status; unfortunately, it came back overcooked (happens so often ... at such a venue, they should have started over). No comps were offered! The wall art was very interesting and the low noise level allowed us to schmooze easily."

  • "As a first timer to The Palm, I was looking forward to a great meal. The table we were seated at was right by the kitchen doors and there was a doorway behind my chair that staff kept going through without so much as an "excuse me." A very loud waitress kept hanging outside the kitchen doors adding to the noisy atmosphere. The food was average compared to the price. I do not mind paying top dollar for great food. Our meal fell way short of that. (What the heck did you put in the creamed spinach?) The only good part of the evening was our waiter . He was pleasant, efficient and solicitous. Given the overall bad experience, we will not be back. "

  • "Always enjoy dining at the Palm Tysons Corner. While it is more pricey than some other restaurants, it certainly does not have the normal stuffy atmosphere of a Mortons or Ruth's Chris. The food is outstanding....and service is always great. I strongly recommend this restaurant to others."

  • "After trying BLT, Bourbon Steak, Charlie Palmer, Rays, Sullivan's, JGilberts, Flemmings, and other high end steakhouses, I wanted to give the Palm a try. Their service and food was the worst I ever had from a high end steakhouse. Their steak was not good enough for my dog, and I have received better service from Chic FIl A"

  • "We are not Palm regulars, but we do like to go a couple of times a year on special occasions. This year my wife wanted to go to the Palm to celebrate her birthday, and we had a very enjoyable evening. The food was wonderful, and the server(s), particularly our waiter Irwin, was great. It was a very nice evening."

  • "Located in the heart of Tyson's next to the Ritz. Excellent business lunch location. Highly energetic in the evening thus not an intimate dining experience. The food and service are excellent. Frequent special combos including surf and turf for two. Join the 837 Club."

  • "The lobsters were excellent but very expensive. The appetizers and sides were delicious and ample in size. All in all a very good choice for special occasions."

  • "The food is always good but the service is spectacular. They are on the ball, aware of everything. Much appreciated when you have a table of 14 people. Will definitely be back!"

  • "I began to wonder why a place with such a "outstanding" reputation would have so many empty table at 7:00 P.M., and now I know why! To begin with, the booths are undersized and very uncomfortable. The waiter smelled like an ashtray and was very difficult to understand. I LOVE steak and travel the USA just to eat at different restaurants. I have eaten a $12.00 steak and I have eaten a $150.00 steak and know the differences between quality, preparation and serving weight. I know my "24 oz" Rib eye was no more then 18 ozs and mine was the larger one. They forgot to use any seasoning so all you tasted was burnt grease all through the medium cooked steak. The sided are very overpriced and nothing special. Save your money - GO TO McDONALDS"

  • "The chef came to our table to make sure our kids enjoyed their delicious food. The waiter put chocolate milk in a wine decanter, which was extremely special and fun for the kids. Magical Night!"

  • "Another great night and outstanding meal at the Tysons Palm. Food and service were first rate. The lamb chops, perfectly cooked, were as good as I've ever had."

  • "We have been to the Palm many times! We made our reservation on Open Table as we most often do at the Palm and many other restaurants. We were seated ALONE in a small room in the back of the restaurant. I immediately said I did not want to sit there and I definitely did not want the four of sitting alone in an empty room. I was assured that there wold be others sitting with us and there were NO other tables. After a few minutes another party of three were seated in the room. They quickly got up and were moved. Then a party of two were seated there and quickly insisted on being moved. We asked for the manager and said we would not stay in that room. At that time, suddenly (!) there was a booth available. Bad seating due to OT resie?"

  • "I made a reservation here for my fiance's birthday and the service was very accomodating. Not only did they let me bring my own birthday cake, the valet guy brought my cake out of the trunk after he parked my car and brought it inside for my waiter so we can surprise my fiance right after dinner. I couldn't have surprised him without their help because we drove together in one car. Our waiter was so polite and nice to us. He was very personable and made sure everything was perfect. I think we found our new favorite steak restaurant. The steak, seafood, and sides were all amazing. Next time I look forward to tasting their dessert."

  • "Appetizers where great. Tuna was fantastic. The special fish of the day was sea bass it was awesome! I ordered the filet with lobster. Unfortunately the filet was extremely bland and very little lobster. I was thinking for the price of the dish which was 55.00 it would have at the very minimum half a lobster tail. It only had tiny pieces of lobster and not much of it. The beef was bland no real beef flavor mostly flavorless. Overall I would still recommend The Palm the service was great."

  • "Had a great time at The Palms. Staff was great. I had a reservation for 8 and we got there at 7:30 and they were kind enought to give us the table right away. They had a wonderful birthday card for my boyfriend which I thought was a great gesture. The food was excellent and service was great. Asked us if we wanted dessert and we said we were stuff, and the waiter came back with Raspberry sorbet anyone which was very nice! Would come back on a special occasion!"

  • "The food is great, but what makes this outstanding is the service. We had a very leisurely dinner with friends and wanted to visit taking much more time. Not only were they patient, but extremely helpful in taking care of our needs without bothering anyone. KUDOS to the entire staff! Made our visit the best anywhere in a long time!"

  • "Superb service from Cameron. We were the last table of the night. We were greeted well be everyone from the valet to host and coat check. The food was excellent (though I make great steak at home hence the 4/5 for food). Bacon wrapped scallops were perfect. Great wine list!"

  • "Valentines Day was our first visit to the Palm and we won't be going back. It took over an hour for our food to come out, and when it arrived, it appeared to have been sitting in a heating station for about that same amount of time. The side order brought out was incorrect as well. When you pay these prices for a steak, you expect it be be excellent, but our steaks were far from it. The server only came by two times during our hour wait, then he finally asked if we've received our food yet! Isn't it his job to know this? We had high expectations this evening, but were let down completely. I can't believe they charged as as much as they did based on the food and service. Terrible experience over all."

  • "THIS WAS OUR FIRST VISIT TO THE PALM IN TYSON CORNER , WE WERE SEATED IN THE BACK / SIDE ROOM WHICH WAS COLD AND NOT THE TRUE AMBIECE THAT I WAS EXPECTING . I WOULD RETURN AND REQUEST THE MAIN DINNING ROOM ."

  • "Tim Seymour has been running the Palm for longer than I can remember. It is alway crowded and energetic with a level of unmatched consistency in the northern Virginia market. For business, it is a terrific environment to build a relationship and the servers are real pro's with tenure at the Palm that is mind numbing. They know the menu inside out and there is always a creative lunch special(never met the chef but he's work'n hard). You will always bump into someone you know if you are even remotely connected. If you are NOT connected, the Palm is an excellent way to get your network revitalized."

  • "The Food was nothing special. The only thing that was good.....Donuts for dessert. The steaks tasteless, presentation nothing. The salad was like something you get in a cafeteria. The side we ordered was ordinary. The price for the dinner was huge. I would not go back. The service was annoying and we had to ask for things. We had an early dinner and a puny booth, it seem the waiter was not that interested in waiting on us. Again I would not go back or recommend it to anyone."

  • "Food was prepared and presented well; menu is very pricey; service was spotty--valet parking was slow to respond to our presence; hostess lacked any warmth and almost seemed unhappy that we were there; wait staff was polite and competent but acted a bit too familiar with us; ambiance is weak. The main dining room was noisy and too busy feeling, with many of the patrons dressed too casually for a Saturday night. The whole experience lacked elegance, which was disappointing given the rather high level of expense incurred. I might dine there again, but I would not be in a hurry to do so."

  • "Regulars at Mortons and other fine restaurants, we have become accustomed to good service and bartenders. After 15 minutes at the bar, the bartenders had not said hello or asked us if we wanted a drink. When we finally asked Jeff for some wine we were greeted with a scowl and curt service. I looked down to find we were indeed dressed very nicely. The regulars could manage some attention from the bartenders, but still had to ask for refills if they went empty. After 30 minutes of this we went to the restaurant and the service improved. The food was average at best and the bill came to $250 for the two of us. Major disappointment for my first and last visit to The Palm."

  • "I visit this Palm frequently. Service and the food is always good. This trip the service was the best yet. It was Super Bowl night so not a busy night but the waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered the lobster and my girlfriend got the filet. I believe the filet is the best steak they have and is always tender. We ordered a wedge salad and they split it onto two plates without us asking. I will certainly return and recommend the Palm for those special occasions."

  • "The Palm has quite an exceptional reputation but this business lunch was average at best. I ordered the crusted tuna. It was ice cold in the center. I eat tuna about twice a week so understand it's best rare but this was more on the side of just thawed. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he took the plate and returned minutes later with the same tuna filets I was eating (cut into) but the outer edges were now overlooked (white). Not sure if it was nuked in the microwave or thrown on the grill. Either way it was awful."
