Diner Reviews
  • "The food was good, but the service was very slow. It took a very long time to get drinks, food, and desert. Even when the restaurant cleared out for desert time, it still took a long time to get our desert."

  • "Restaurant was very crowded with large parties and groups. Perhaps lack of planning or lack of preparation by the mgmt, but food came out very slow and service was slow as well. We were given desserts on the house which we never asked for as an apologies. Food was consistent, but very inconsistent service from the kitchen. If you are planning to go to this restaurant, I would make sure they don't have large parties going on. If so, expect long delays and slow service."

  • "Great location for a business lunch downtown. Good food, great service."

  • "The Palm is Consistency very good, from the time you enter the restaurant and are greeted by Christine, to the cocktails created by Christin or Pete, to the table service by Oral. Order the Nova Scotia Lobster special, simply broiled the Palm way!"

  • "Food was overcooked and overpriced. Mediocre wines were heavily marked up. Servers wouldn't leave you alone. Nice ambience though. Drop the prices 30% and I'd consider it again."

  • "Their early great service food was exceptional.the new york strip 38 oz which we shared was perfect."

  • "Could have been the best steak that I have ever had in my life, and I have had a large number of steaks."

  • "Went to The Palm for their Lobster Special which was great. However the service that night was extremely slow and disappointing. We arrived around 7 for our dinner reservation and the party was complete by 7:30. We ordered and waited at least 1hour or more for the starters which were only salad. then longer for our lobsters. I was told that 5 pound lobsters take longer, which I challenged. 3 1/2 hours later we finally finished and left. They were apologetic, gave us free desert but still. I will however return again for the lobsters."

  • "I have visited a few of the Palm Restaurants in NYC and elsewhere. This Tribeca branch is on par with the quality I have come to expect from the Palm. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Nestor was our waiter and he was terrific. He did an excellent job of helping to celebrate my husband's birthday. Job well done!"

  • "The quality of the bread is wonderful and my friends and I are particularly fond of the pecan raisin bread. The lobster bisque was devine and we shared the 4lb. lobster. It was wonderful last summer and it was equally wonderful this summer. We were so full there was no room for dessert, but there's always next time!"

  • "I don't know what it is about the Palm, but something(s) is off. Never have we been greeted graciously. Never have we even been served a glass of water in a timely fashion. We had the crab meat appetizer and it was fine. So were the ahi tuna and the NY strip. The asparagus fritti is okay. The cocktail wasn't cold enough, the wine was okay. Obviously everything was okay, but if this is the best that can be said about a steakhouse, I repeat myself: something is off."

  • "They offer an excellent prix fix three course lunch which has some nice selections for lunch."

  • "Great for a good meal, food is always consistently delicious, service is on point and very kid friendly."

  • "This place never disappoints. From the welcome, to the overall service to the great food, you will be in for a great night. We were a group of 4 seated towards the front of the restaurant. Our waiter was very engaging and was almost part of the group in terms of jumping into our conversation at just the right times. We went lobster crazy. Most had the surf and turf special that they are running this summer. (Fillet and a bit of lobster, 1 appetizer and 1 side) Additionally we had the cold seafood appetizer as well which was a bit over the top (i.e. we could have gotten away without it)"

  • "The Palm Tribeca is never a disappointment. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional."

  • "The lobster was as always fantastic. We go to the Palm in Tribeca as it is where we live and convenient for us. We go 2 x a year.Service and quality are always top notch."

  • "We were disappointed with our dining experience. We have eaten frequently at your flagship restaurant and found this experience much superior to the TriBeCa sight. We shared our meal because we find it healthier not to over eat and it seemed to us that the waiter discounted our presence because of that. We got little attention and follow up during our meal. The ambience and the food left a lot to be desired. We will not return."

  • "Although the food was delicious, it was the only pleasant part of our Father's day celebration at the Palms Tribeca. The service and ambiance was quite undesirable - first the child on the front booth spent 75% of the time standing on her seat facing our table talking to herself. Second and most impacting was the lack of simple curtsies by our server, who failed to bring the ordered wine to the table and when reminded did not even offer an apology. Waiter also, limited his visits to our table so much so we had to ask other staff for an additional steak knife and bread for the table."

  • "The food and service was fantastic. Our waiter was a true professional. My only complaint would be that the walls were covered with hollywood pics.instead of the old fashioned pics.that theother palm restaurants have. I would still recomend to a friend."

  • ""We went for a graduation and had a group of seven, nice table and sat immediately. Waitstaff was execellent. Had lobster bisque in many places, this was ok. Chilean sea bass was very good, nice portion. Porterhouse and filets were cooked perfectly. Sides were very good and nice portions. ""

  • "Superb food & service. Special accommodation for our 103(yes 103) year old Aunt in a wheelchair with limited vision, who enjoyed every course of her lobster dinner. Palm was the perfect choice for this special evening. We will be back."

  • "I travel to New York often and am always looking to try new restaurants. The Palm was a great find. The food was delicious and the service superb. I didn't realize until later that it was actually a chain of restaurants so I will certainly give other locations a try. "

  • "Went in on a Saturday night to have a bite at the bar. Overall good experience. Bartenders were attentive, the appetizers were very good."

  • "We have dined at Palm on several occasions and this experience did not measure up to previous ones. Our reservation request asked for a quiet table if available, so naturally we were offered a table in the center of the dining area. After we asked for an alternative, we were seated at a booth at the front of the restaurant - not as noisy, but much more so than booths at the rear which did appear to be available. About 15 minutes elapsed before our drink order was taken. The remainder of the dinner was ok, but did not come close to our earlier experience. We hope that this was just an off night, which can happen to any establishment."

  • "Have visited many of Palm's locations, in NYC and beyond. Tribeca is probably my favorite. Steaks were superb. Side dishes as well. If lobster mac & cheese is offered as a special, DO NOT pass it up!"

  • "Good business lunch spot with noise levels that allow conversation. Food was good by for the second time running our waiter was an intrusive pain in the neck-kept trying to sell extras-water, sides, vegetables-enough already -we're here for a business lunch."

  • "Went here with colleagues dinner was great, had wonderful conversation not too loud, could hear everything."

  • "Food came out timely, hot, and delicious. We all had steaks. Wait staff and other FOH staff could be a bit more personable and more attentitive, especially when we were finished (waited for the bill for a bit too long). Started with cocktails that we're not mixed properly but wine list is very extensive and reasonably priced. Overall was a good experience, would go back and skip cocktails. "

  • "Bartender had a bit of an attitude, good took 45 minutes to come and they forgot our appetizers. Wolfgangs is a short walk away. I'd go there instead next time, and I live in TriBeCa. Overpriced for a dried out piece of swordfish. "

  • "The Palm is a great place to eat! The food and the service are always outstanding! I have been to various locations and have never had a bad experience. I would also like to add that at this specific location, I arrived very late to my reservation, and we were still seated promptly when we arrived. The staff was very accommodating. "

  • "I booked the private dining room for a wedding lunch and could not have been happier. They took the time to make sure every last detail was perfect, including congratulation place cards in the napkins. The food was incredible, served hot and I wouldn't have changed a thing. The wait staff was extremely attentive and had everything we wanted before we even asked. Great place to have that special occasion, you won't be disappointed. "

  • "The Palm in TriBeCa is a large boringly decorated space with Ok food. Nothing special here to rate it above other much better choices in NYC. Our waiter Oral(?) was a nice guy who took great care of myself, a colleague and some clients. I am sure it is tough, with the glut of steak houses, to come up with anything unique enough to make yourself stand out."
