Wedge Salad had way too much dressing on it. Thought the mark up on wine was a little high. Overall, had a nice evening and would come back again.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways well-paced service;Always well-paced service; no one rushes at The Palm.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food and service;Outstanding food and service; dining is well-paced.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food & service!Food was delicious & service was impeccable! The staff was wonderful & really go out of their way to make your dining experience special. Worth the price & will definitely be back!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMwant a classic Steakhouse? The Palm is by far the best place for quality steak.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPalm slides in qualityWe have eaten at the Palm several times over the years when we are in San Diego. This time, the food was ok but not great. The service was excellent. We will probably not plan on another dinner here in the future.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial escargot stuff mushroomsSpecial escargot stuff mushrooms were fantastic - buttery, garlicky. We used the bread to sop up the left over butter. Didn't want to waste a drop! The bone-in ribeye was perfect as usual. The special 18 oz. boneless ribeye with portobello mushrooms, lobster, and bordelaise sauce was interesting. The steak was cooked to a perfect black & blue with blackened seasoning on it. It could be a little stronger for the meat. The bordelaise sauce overcast the lobster so you really couldn't tell if you were eating lobster or mushroom as it robbed the lobster of its flavor. I would suggest just a garlic herb butter or maybe hollandaise, some kind of cream based sauce to let the lobster shine a little. Note: Check the Padres schedule before you book.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial all around!Great food as usual, and the service was amazing. We have a 1 year old, who the servers tolerated very well, granted, he's an angel to start with! The desert special, chocolate bread pudding, was also phenomenal. We hope they bring it back!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love the Palm. The foodWe love the Palm. The carrot cake and chocolate bread pudding were excellent.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe felt like VIP's with ourWe felt like VIP's with our Open Table reservation. They sat us immediately. Be sure to try the "Half and Half" (fried onions and potato chips). The lobster bisque is the best! Thank you for the birthday special of one free entrée! It's really worth it to join your dining club.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat DiningA great restaruant especially when they have their special offers. If you havent, be sure to join the "837" club. Never disappointed at this fine dining eatery.2/16/2013 12:00:00 AMYou know what you're goingYou know what you're going to get at The Palm, and that's a good thing: great food, huge portions, friendly service, and caricatures on the wall. The night we went was pretty quiet, so the usual din in the dining room was replaced by an elegant calm that really let us enjoy the food and attentive service. The wine list is top-notch, with great selections at many price points. We had a great dinner here, and won't hesitate to return.12/23/2012 12:00:00 AM
