  • "This returaunt is impeccable. The ambiance is great and the service was very personable. The food was truly unique and worth every penny. Highly reccommend this resturaunt for a special occassion or just a romantic dining experience. In the hub of the riverwalk. Simply Fantastic!"

  • "For us, The Palm is generally out of our comfort zone budget wise. But for a special occasion, or just a little spoiling, it's well worth it. I love the salmon, blackened and stuffed with crab; hubs is a fan of the Chilean sea bass. Unlike some upscale restaurants where the prices are high and the servings are small, you'll get plenty of food here. We haven't had dessert here yet, because dinner is very filling."

  • "As usual, a fine dining experience with impeccable service. We had the 4# summer lobster special, it did not disappoint."

  • "Most was good chose 4 stars cause my baked potato was cold, didn't want to complain. Wanted sour cream, got chives, didn't want to complain. Ordered a surprise sweet drink got a sour vodka drink. That aside it was good but what I didn't like, we got up to have a drink at the bar then a very drunk older man was harassing my wife and I. I stayed civil but expected your staff to escort him to a taxi. Stephanie had just came on shift, she would remember this guy cause she chased him out the door to get him to pay his $35 tab. This man was toast and didn't appreciate him spitting on my face eveytime he said something or breathing heavy in our ear everytime he tried to say something. This is where you and your staff let us down!"

  • "The food was exquisite and David, our server, was wonderful. A great Majestic pre-show ritual!"

  • "Unlike open table that seems only to publish positive or at most mildly negative reviews. I still use your res services but I no longer bother checking reviews. Too bad you have sacrificed your credibility, but I guess that's business."

  • "Have visited many times and this is the first time my steak and the persons we were with steaks did not come out as ordered. I ordered the bone in Ribeye Med. Plu and the other couple order the bone in filet Med. Plus. My steak came out maybe med. and the filet come out very raw. It was sent back and came out very well done to the point if it had been me I would have raised hell. But we were attending an event which was top of our evening."

  • "Had a most enjoyable dinner. Food and service were great. They even remembered the table we like in the private dining room. Nice and quiet."

  • "Went 1 1/2 hours prior to the start of the play we were to see at the Majestic Theater across the street from the restaurant. We had to wait one hour before we were served, giving us a half hour to eat, pay and get to our seats. Clearly the staff knew that many of the patrons were going to attend the play and clearly the kitchen must have been understaffed. This should not happen on theater nights."

  • "We went before a play at the majestic for our 22 anniversary. It took awhile for the food to be served. The only reason I gave it 4 stars. The food was amazing as was the service. We look forward to coming back soon."

  • "The Palm does an excellent job with their basic seasoning of all their steaks. Their prices continue to creep up but alas that is the case in most fine dining establishments."

  • "The bone-in filet mignon was superb. Like butter. One of the best steaks I've had."

  • "This place is Great as Always, the food, the service, the ambience, it is all great. We love it. We always ask for our regular server but he happen to be out that day and the lady we got (Michelle) was just as good as Ignacio......"

  • "We love eating at The Palm before attending a show or concert at the Majestic Theater. It is so convenient using the restaurant's valet parking. Not sure what we'll do when the new Tobin Center opens and we start going to concerts and shows there. We are spoiled by the service and the quick walk across Houston St. to the theater. Steak was perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes with goat cheese are my hubby's idea of heaven on earth. Creme brulee is our favorite dessert., but watch out for the caramelized sugar which can have very sharp edges. Crush it up or chew it thoroughly."

  • "Went to The Palm before the Symphony and had a 4# lobster for two which comes with two salads or soups and a side to share. My wife started with the Wedge salad which was outstanding. I had the Caesar which was very good but not nearly up to the Wedge. The lobster was of good quality and was well prepared and presented. Very good! We passed on dessert for we were pretty full. The only issues we have with The Palm were that IMO wine prices are unreasonably high. A glass is priced close to retail bottle price and bottle prices are about 4X retail. On the extreme side. And second, my wife's Wedge salad incurred a $5 upgrade charge. No problem with the charge - salad was well worth the extra, but we should have been told it was an upgrade."

  • "Excellent. Our waiter was the best! Food was amazing!"

  • "We chose The Palm to celebrate our 45th anniversary. Our table was ready when we arrived, they even put a Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff on our table. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful, with outstanding customer service. Our waiter was very familar with the menu items and their preparation as well as the wine list and appropriate pairings. We often find that the ambient noise level in restaurants is so loud you cant talk without yelling. Every table in the restaurant was full, but we could carry on a normal volume level conversation. The food was everything we had hoped it would be. We will definitely return."

  • "The Palm was a wonderful dining experience for 2 per-show dinners. The appetizers were delicious! The Shrimp Bruno are superb. The Lobster is the best we have had and that includes lobsters up east. Our server Amy was wonderful and we will ask for her on our next trip to the Palm. We have definitely added the Palm to our list of favorite San Antonio eateries."

  • "The Palm was a perfect place to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. Our waiter was outstanding with a great sense of humor. My steak was perfect and my wife's crab cakes were excellent. My only criticism would be the brussels sprouts. They were undercooked. I like crisp vegetables, but these were really not up to the standards I would have expected. However, my wife's asparagus was perfect. I would absolutely go again."

  • "Great food and service at the Palm as usual. One minor glitch...they forget one of our side dishes and it was about 10 minutes into our main course meal before they brought it out."

  • "Went there for the special occasion of proposing to my now fiance. The food and service was top of the line. Our waiters name was adrian he was wonderful. It is pricey for the average american. We had steak and lobster with wine and three drinks with tips which I tip well for the great service i got ran me $320. Great for special occasions like this one but not a frequent sto for ost people."

  • "We had dinner there before attending the Chicago Concert. We were early on our reservation time by 15min. we were seated and had a great meal and attended the concert. The nice part about the Palm was the Valet parking along with great service and everything was perfect"

  • "First, I must say that our waitress and her assistant were wondeful. The criticism is as follows. My husband and I shared a four pound lobster. It came to the table cold, as though it had been sitting out too long. Then, we found it to be dry and overcooked. I did not bother to complain because the food was edible, but not up to its usual standards. If this should happen again, we will definately send back our meal."

  • "We had a table of 4 and a sampling between us of the steaks (excellent), seafood (delicious) and Italian (also excellent) and sides (delish). Everything was perfectly cooked, delivered in timely yet not hurried manner and the restaurant is close to the Riverwalk, but on Houston. It's right across from the Majestic and Empire theaters, which makes it easy to park and walk to both."
