  • "The food was fantastic. We shared clams casino and shrimp Bruno and shrimp cocktail. All were perfectly done and delicious. We also had the lobster bisque which was the best I've ever had. The chicken parmasean was perfect, but you do have to ask for a side of speghetti, it's not included. We topped it off with the Creme brûlée which was heavenly. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. The atmosphere was romantic. My husband & I will definately come back the next time we're in Nashville."

  • "We ordered the 4 lb. lobster (to share for two - $99). By the time it was boiled/broiled and split between the two of us, we probably only had about .5 lb. or less of lobster each. We ordered a New York Strip (18 oz.) to accompany it. Our waiter kept advising that "it is a lot of food". Unfortunately, we were still hungry after the lobster and steak. No drinks, only water = total bill = $165 w/out tip. Hmmm, don't get sucked into the overrated 4 lb. lobster. Stick with a steak. The steak was ordered medium rare, came rare. Sent back for a two minute sear and came back perfect. Steak was outstanding. Lobster very little flavor."

  • "My wife and I decided to use a gift card we received as a wedding gift to fund our first anneversary dinner at The Palm in Nashville. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. But we paid for a name, and Dear GOD did we pay. While it was fun to go out, after the $100 gift card I was still out of pocket $100 after tip and valet. In reality, I enjoy grilling enough to want to skip the expierience next time and just pay a local butcher to give me an equal or better cut. I enjoyed my experience, but because of the price I don't think I'll be going back again....well, on my own dime anyway."

  • "This is the 2nd time I have eaten there before a concert. The first at the Ryman and this week at the Schermerhorn. My sister was with me this time so we decided to splurge. Normally I just grab something at Margarittaville but I have to say the balloon lady on stilts was really getting on my nerves. Every so often a balloon animal would POP and it startle me.The waiter was chatty, the mood was jovial. The steaks are expensive but we both agreed they were wonderful. Sides are large and can easily be shared. The smaller side could be split twice, the larger ones would easily give 4 people a taste. You can also sit in the bar where they have a less pricy menu. We wanted a relatively quiet place to eat and this was perfect."

  • "My wife and I have enjoyed the Palm on several occasions, for business as well as pleasure. Our last experience was a huge diassapointment! We did not have a resservation and walked in from the 4th of July fireworks display. The matradee said that we could not get a table for 1 and half hours. We went on "Open Table" and had a reservation within 15 minutes. (What happen to the hour and half)! We both order the seafood sepical and it was cold and not cooked to order. The resturant was very loud and the ambience was not inviting. This was last time at the Palm!"

  • "We were disappointed. We have eaten here two times in the last few months and generally the food had been good to very good. We ordered some things - like the green been side dish and it was inedible. It was barely blanched - so very hard and chewy and had no real taste. We ordered the beans before and they weren't like that. The veal wasn't great - it was just okay. For the prices, it wasn't worth it. We spend over 200 dollars and came away disappointed that we were better off spending 75 at California Pizza kitchen."

For a restaurant with such a reputation for fine dining, however, the atmosphere is not what one would expect. It is a very noisy restaurant. Nonetheless, I would still recommend it for the food and service, especially for special occasions."

  • "While in Nashville for a trade show, I chose The Palm Restaurant based on a) its reputation, b) proximity to the Omni Hotel c) experiences at other locations. We were a party of 11 & management went out of their way to fit our larger than expected group. The semi-private room off the bar was very hot (a/c issues), this was resolved when they brought in two fans which did help. The service provided by "Grit" was superb and the gentleman who sang Happy Birthday to the son of one of our our guests was absolutely the highlight of the evening!! I wish the same could be said of the food, with the primary complaint being the majority of the steaks - due to dryness and an overall lack of flavor - not expected from a highly regarded steakhouse."

  • "My wife and I both got the filet and lobster special. I'll start by saying we waited 20 minutes to put in a drink order. It seems that they were confused whose table we were. Once that was taken care of, service was great. The tables were so close together though, and it was loud. I found myself repeating what I was saying to my wife all evening. Once we got the food, I was happy. It wasn't as hot as I'd like a steak to be but it was tender and the flavor was good. Dessert was very good. I get the impression they could do better than they did. I would give them another shot sometime."

  • "I've eaten here several times but this occasion was a ladies' night out before a concert. Jayma was a terrific server and fortunately didn't treat us like a table of women (shame on you low tipping and rude ladies that expect too much from servers like splitting a check 5 ways) but like a table of "patrons". We enjoyed lobster, filet, Caesar salads, martinis, wine and all met our expectations. Jayma was patient, personable, informative, efficient and I will ask for her table next time. She helped us with the recommendations of what to order as we did want to share so lobster and filet was top billing both served to perfection! I love that you can split salads and entrees without penalty but we also made up for it in sides."

  • "First of all, They made us come at 530pm. Of course, we when left at 730pm there were MANY EMPTY tables. Ridiculous. The hostess,3 at the door, tried to place my colleague and me at a booth that is clearly,or should be, for a couple. Right by the other only table in the place. Stupid. Second. The bacon with cotton candy was all FAT. Third: I could not understand my waiter at all. Three wait staff introduce themselves, but yet I had to ask 2 different waiters for butter before it made it to the table A FLY FLEW AT OUR TABLE THE WHOLE TIME- DISGUSTING. Fourth-None of the food was hot. Fifth. NOT ONE PERSON SAID 'THANK YOU , HAVE A GOOD EVENING" WHEN WE WERE LEAVING... 8 PEOPLE AT THE DOOR... We went to the Palm the next night FABULOUS."

  • "My wife and I were in Nashville for the CMA Fest and stayed an extra day. Decided to try The Palm since we heard they had great food and were a high-end dining experience. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the Service was impeccable. We had discussions with the Host, Manager and many with the waiter (Jeffrey) who was very responsive. Initially my wife's teak was not cooked as she requested and they fixed that immediately. The menu choices were great and their were numerous wine/drink choices. We has the key lime pie for dessert and it was excellent. It is on the high side price wise, but has great food and the attention to detail are great. I would recommend this place to people for a high-end dining experience."

  • "Food and service at the Nashville Palm is typically always good. ON this evening there were several issues to the service support. The young lady helping clear was asked to take and box one of the guest's meals and she forgot and threw away an almost whole filet and meal. Although she did apologize, making amends by offering a desert appeared to be a small concession and out of balance based on the cost of the dinner. When asked to bring the cake 'To Go", the young lady brought it to the table on a plate and once again forgot to follow through with our request. I can only assume she was new and a little flustered. It was a strange evening for us at The Palm, but we dine their often and doubt it will affect our decision to come back."

  • "The steak special was certainly that - very special. As was the crab meat cocktail. The lobster bisque was a bit weak. I have certainly had better at restaurants with less enthusiastic prices. I sampled by wife's salmon. It was as plain and uninspiring as I have ever experienced at an upscale location. Frankly it was cooked quite nicely but without seasoning or any added "interest" of it's own. They should not have to rely entirely on a topping to provide 100% of the flavor - in that case they might just as well serve the topping and leave the fish in the kitchen. The atmosphere is much like you would expect if you were dining in a large city train or bus depot - all hard surfaces and LOUD. I would still go back for the steak."

The rolls were cold, lobster bisque had about 1 tablespoon of tiny pieces of lobster meat, linguini with clam sauce was mediocre. The filet was very good, but the price was ridiculous. Thank goodness we had a gift card. The waiter was great. "
