  • "Everything is great at this landmark restaurant except for the fact that you have to pay for valet parking, which would be ok, if it didn't double if you stay at the restaurant for more than 3 hours."

  • "Been going to The Palm for many years ---never had a bad experience at any Palm---love their lobsters"

  • "We choose the Palm for the location as it is walking distance to the Staples Center. The food was good and the service very helpful. Nothing over the top, but my husband was thrilled with the Lobster Bisque presentation."

  • "Every chance we get to go to The Palm - we do! Not just for special occasions because going there IS a special occasion for us. The steaks are always cooked to perfection, the array of sides covers all possible urges even for a foodie! The lobsters are always delightful, cooked to perfection and then with some table side assistance to crack open the big claws - all I have to do is sit back and enjoy my gorgeous lobster - yum! The cocktails are crazy good - my new fav is the Sin City Kiss with vodka and PAMA pomegranate juice - a great buzz WITH antioxidants! LOL What could be better? The service is always professional and spot on. The managers watch like eagles over the entire dining room and keep the flow of things going smoothly. :-)"

  • "I don't know how they manage to broil a lobster that big and not have it come out rubbery. It was delicious!"

  • "My husband loves Palm, especially the "energy" in the dining room. The steaks here are quite good and always prepared properly. I enjoy the Brandy Peppercorn sauce although I typically do not like "sauce" with my steaks. My husband likes the Bernaise sauce, and he too does not often like "sauce" with steaks. While the Palm is not my favorite steakhouse, it is good.I like the Clams, Lobster Bisque, Steaks especially when a Prime Rib special is available. Their horseradish sauce is "killer" hot. The Palm Monday Night Chopped Salad is AWFUL-I will never order this again. There were specks of wilted lettuce so small that even chopped parsley would be better seen in the salad. The teensy tiny bits of tomato dominated the plate and flavorless."

  • "As always, The Palm does a great job of making one feel like family. The food was excellent and so was the service. Sammy did a excellent job. Always making sure that our drinks were filled and our meal was served at a good pace! I know The Palm is primarily with Steakhouse, but the Chicken Parm with the Asparagus Fritti is to die for!"

  • "The Palm has to rely on its reputation. Thw steak and lobster that my friend and I got were both ok, but nothing special--except for the high cost. The filet mignon particularly was a disappointment--there was no flavor to the meat, and it was not particularly tender. The staff was very helpful and very friendly, and I would give high marks for service. It is just too darn expensive--and for regular people who cannot charge the office, it is not worth it."

  • "Great food. Great service. Nice ambiance. Decent selection of wine. Some beers. Well done cocktails. Classy but not snooty."

  • "Terrific service, very good food an Old San Francisco feel restaurant. The oysters, scallops, Sea Bass were Outstanding. Perfect for a special occasion or business dinner. The service is always tops."

  • "I've been to the Palm restaurant a handful of times, mostly for special occasions and I have yet to be disappointed by the food or service. This past time we went to celebrate my birthday and every item we ordered was amazing (except for the b. sprouts - burnt/overcooked). The two steaks we ordered were delicious, the lobster was fantastic, the caesar salad was amazing and the side orders were to die for. All in all, it's not a cheap place to dine but it's a great place to take someone to make them feel special! The service is also amazing, our waitress was very attentive, friendly and provided 5 Star Service."

  • "Been going to Palm restaurants for over 30 years. They are professional, have great food and service. Very reasonable for a business lunch. In and out in a reasonable amount of time (about 1 hour), no rush. Appetizer (calamari) and two lunches (lobster club and lobster salad). Come on, why would you come here if you weren't ordering lobster or some beef dish?"
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "Had the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna Salad. For $19, you'd think it would be one great salad but I was very disappointed. My red tomatoes were under ripe, yellow tomatoes mushy. The tuna and the rest of the components were OK but unexceptional. Despite a large trade show at the Convention Center nearby, restaurant was mostly empty. I can clearly see why."

  • "Our server Sue from the moment we walked in to the restaurant was a joy and experience as one of the best. She made our special day even more memorable. Her friendly jokingly and kind personality made us enjoy our dining experience at this location."

  • "This was my first time dinning at The Palms. It was my 20th wedding anniversary. My wife and I ordered the 5 lb lobster for two and it was great. For the side dish we had the 3 cheese baked mashed potatoes. We will be back and we will recommend all our friends to visit."

  • "I took my Father here to celebrate Father's Day. It was his first time dining at Palm. It was great everyone he encountered wished him a "Happy Father's Day". He very much enjoyed his meal. Even a couple of days later, he is still talking about how great his meal was. He definitely will return to this resturant."

  • "I booked with open table with a reservation for 7 people at 7:15pm, when we arrived they said our reservation was at 530pm. Thy were wrong they were able to sit us but it was like if they were doing us a favor. I use Open table because I do not want to have to go through this but I did."

  • "Palm has great food, we've never had a bad meal. It's a good place to eat before attending events at Staples Center."
    Dined on 5/14/2014
  • "We had a great dinner. The staff was very attentive and the food prepared perfect. It is a bit pricey, plan on at least $100 per person, but for a special occasion, worth it. I will certainly go back. They also had a nice beer menu which I didn't expect. Save room for the desserts!!"

  • "After arriving home I realized that the tip was already included in the bill (party of 10). I basically gave the waiter a 40% tip. No one from the restaurant said a word."

  • "Great pre game meal and great hang out for pre game drinks."

  • "It's been quite a while since my husband and I went out for a true steakhouse meal, and we lucked into The Palm. Neither of us were familiar with it, but the reviews and history caught our attention. We weren't disappointed - although pricey, the filets were fantastic and we added asparagus and goat cheese mashed potatoes to make an exceptional meal that was well worth the cost for us."

  • "My wife & I really loved the food. The occasion was our marriage anniversary. Though a bit cozy due to closely placed tables, it did not take from our indulgence. Only complain is the staple center is across the street & had a clipper game that day & saw more team spirit than I'd like to see. Aside from the Botox & plastic faces you know you're in an upscale place when you see no prices on the menu. Overall I'd go again on a non sport event day. "

  • "Of the "Chain" Steakhouses, this is my favorite. I've always had a great steak here and the sides are always very good. The Prime steaks are aged well and grilled to the requested temperature every time. I especially like the hash brown side... it's creamy inside without added ingredients in a way no other steak place does it. I highly recommend this restaurant when in LA. "

  • "Although the Palm is pricey it provided a good deal of privacy from other booths because they are properly distanced and thus facilitated a comfortable environment for discrete business discussions. Per usual the service and food were top-notch."

  • "Very good food. But a little lite in the lobster in the lobster bisque. "

  • "Being next to a convention center would be a reason for a lot of place to phone it in, but not The Palm. Our service team and the menu (as well as a much-appreciated quieter table in a back room for my large group) made our night special. A little secret tip - the bar downstairs can get crazy. Check to see if the upstairs stand-up-only bar is open if that's the case. It's a great way to handle a pre-dinner meet-up on a busy night."

  • "Food is good, just a couple extras that make my bill go up( esparagus and a souce) really!! I can't afford going back neither my friends"

  • "I've eaten at Palm downtown L.A. three times, and each time it has not disappointed. Food is excellent, and the prices reasonable considering the high quality. Service is fantastic - the staff are there but not hovering over you. I suggest a booth for a more private feel. Great place to get a high quality lunch served fairly quickly for those with time constraints. "
