A word from Palm Restaurant - Denver
Located in the Westin Denver Downtown Hotel (formerly the Westin Tabor Center) overlooking the Rocky Mountains, The Denver Palm has proved that its "Mile-High" location has maintained the same quality in food and service that the original Palm set the standard for so many years ago.
Diner Reviews
  • "Limited choice in wines by the glass. Food so so - had to return my Cesar's salad, and my lobster bisque had way too much dairy in it. Also quite pricey, especially for the quality of food served."

  • "As always this a great spot for an excellent steak or a great steak salad for lunch!"

  • "We came to celebrate my wife's birthday at the Palm. Luis was our server & he understood that we wanted a relaxed, leisurely meal. He provided menu suggestions& gave us more than adequate time between courses- finishing up with a tasty complementary dessert. Many thanks for a memorable night."

  • "The mixture of foods within each entree was remarkable; the server helped us to understand the foods and made great recos, from tasty drinks, appetizers and entrees. If we could have fit dessert, there were some marvelous choices for that too! A bit pricey but worth every penny for a special occasion."

  • "We had yet another wonderful dinner at The Palm. My 3 lb lobster, lobster bisque soup and Caesar salad were excellent. My wife's steak was cooked to perfection."

  • "I eat at many high end restaurants around the country every year. I enjoyed my dinner very much, not because the food was great, but because the service was excellent! Five stars for all of the wait staff, but more importantly to Michael, our waiter who was patient and kind to our large group. I will definitely go back to Palm again. It is one thing to have a nice meal, but it is even better to be cared for and treated well."

  • "Although the food was up to standard, the service was poor. When it took an hour for the salads to arrive, the waiter offered another round of drinks and then shrimp cocktail on the house. Another delay occurred before the main courses came. The waiter realized that the kitchen had messed up. As a result, the entire bill was canceled, much to our surprise and appreciation. An off-night."

  • "We have been celebrating special occasions at the Palm for many years and this was such a bad experience that we won't ever go back. And since the restaurant was practically empty, I don't think my experience of a bad evening in every way is unique!"

  • "We love the Palm in most cities and are members of the 837 Club. Our expectations were high because the Palm is known for its' outstanding food and service. We were celebrating our 17th anniversary and noted that on the reservation. Our regular dining experience at a Palm is very good so we expected even more for our special occasion. We were seated in a small booth in a heavy traffic area which was not ideal. Our waiter didn't introduce himself and had only been with the Palm 2 months and was not very seasoned. He mentioned our anniversary when he first came over but in the past we've had dessert comp'd or at least they would write "Happy Anniversary" on the dessert. We were very disappointed with how the evening turned out."

  • "Excellent food and service with a unique ambiance created by caricatures."

  • "Had not been to the Palm for a long time & there was nothing good about this experience. We were crammed into an awkward spot where the wait staff could barely reach us. The service consequently was poor and the food was pedestrian. I had a friend in from D.C. and the experience was fairly poor."

  • "Waitress was nice, but messed up our table's order. Steaks were overdone and Filets became Strips. Too much effort to change it as we were with kids and hungry from a long day of traveling. With all the choices in Denver, we'll try somewhere else next time."

  • "overall great place to celebrate with family or friends. Food is "awesome"....."

  • "We have been to the Palm numerous times. This was our worst experience by far. Too expensive and 3 of the 6 meals were mediocre."
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "We dined on the Sunday after Valentine's Day weekend. I'm sure you were slammed for Valentine's Day, but we were sad to find only a skeleton staff and waited well over 40 minutes for our meal to be served. Usually not a problem, but we had three diners under age 10 with us and they were hungry."

  • "The temperature of my food was meh. Not great as expected!"

  • "The Palm always does a great job! It was our Valentine's Date night and they made it special. They are consistent and welcoming with great meals. Expensive but special."

  • "The setting was actually uncomfortable, very tight. A couple next to us rearranged their chairs. Another couple, a table away, asked to be moved to another location. The drinks were fine. The salad was average. The sides were average. The steak selections are too large--I ended up with a 14 oz New York Strip--and, would have enjoyed something smaller. Although the steak was very good. I would have to say that it was OK, not great (nothing really stood out to me), and definitely not worth the price."

  • "We were in heart of downtown Denver for business and struggled to find restaurants that could accommodate a large party. Not only was the Palm able to accommodate us, they did it with very little notice and even took it in stride when our party size grew unexpectedly as word got out about our location. In spite of the 19-party table, my glass was never empty and my food was incredible! Delicious and warm, we shared the sides among the table and all of it was perfectly prepared!"

  • "Never had anything but the best food and service- Lobster is the best in town"

  • "Had a nice time. Good food. We will be back again."

  • "Kathy and the front of the house always outstanding. Ali is a superlative waiter who is charming and engaging. Unfortunately, he was not our waiter this night. Nonetheless, he visited with us and was witty and warm. The only negative was our waiter Greg. He has waited on us before-acts like he doesn't know us (maybe he doesn't)-cold, impersonal and makes me feel uncomfortable. His service is adequate, but always feel like he's pushing. Also dont' miss Mike and Al at the Bar they are great and pour a righteous cocktail. As to ambiance and noise--hey, its the Palm it isnt a romantic little spot and it can be noisy--but that's sorta why you go there"

  • "The Palm has excellent food and service. It's pricy - so for special occasions - it's fun - but can't do it too often."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "Food was good, but could not believe at $50 a plate everything was a la carte. I have had better steak at 1/2 the price with all the sides included. It was a nice, " one time experience". My spouse and I were seated in a back room tucked away , which ended up being very nice and quiet, we did notice on the way out that the restaurant was very loud. Service was flawless."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Initially our steak came out a little underdone for our liking, and the server was on it. The second one wasn't quite done enough, and the server again was immediate and understanding. With very little time elapsed, we had that perfect steak. Very attentive, courteous and caring. Great night out for Valentine's Day in a wonderful historic hot spot."

  • "So, we made reservations for Valentines dinner, and it was a supreme disappointment. The service was terrific, but the food worse than what you could get on a good night at Red Lobster. The meat was overdone and dry, and the lobster as well. My wife ordered stuff lobster, and stuffed it was, but with breadcrumbs! I expect much better out of this restaurant, and my perception is that the food was pre cooked and waiting around to be reheated for dinner patrons."

  • "We had a reservation for 12 on Valentine's Day and got seated within about 40 minutes of our actual reservation. We weren't in a hurry, so it wasn't a big deal, but a little frustrating to have to wait when we did have a reservation. Our waitstaff was excellent! Food and drinks took a little while, but the restaurant was packed so slower service was to be expected. One complaint we had was a group of 12-13 year old girls was seated right next to us. They quieted down after a few minutes of arriving, but to go to a $50+ a plate restaurant and have to share the experience with a bunch of young girls carrying on and moving around, was a little disappointing. Overall we had a good night, but not sure we'd go back."

  • "The Palm is a wonderful place to go for special occasions and great food. Generally the service is outstanding, but this go round the service was off a bit - I had to get up and get our wine or water a few times and pour, which has never happened before. As a side note - the facilities are starting to go downhill, one of the urinals was leaking from the valve onto the floor and one was coming away from the wall, looked very bad."

  • "I have been to The Palm in various cities, and they are all consistently delicious. Will definitely go back! It is, for those who do not know, a bit pricey, Dinner for two was $350.00."

  • "We had 9 people in our group we were entertaining. Wait staff catered to our needs and timing everything so we could have a good blend of business discussion and dinning."

  • "We had a nice time at The Palm, but I thought it was very expensive. The food was tasty because of the generous amount of butter. Too rich for me!"

  • "what more is there to say, amazing food, wonderful service."

  • "I have been going to the Palm for 20 years, first in other cities and later to our own spot in Denver. Always the same and always going to be a treat in my book."

  • "Staying in the hotel, had been out shopping all day and stubbled across this in the lobby. The restaurant was packed so we were pleased to get a table. Service was great, food was delicious and very enjoyable cocktails."
    Dined on 1/7/2014
  • "For the price, the food is not impressive. It is standard fare. I have had much better steak (filet) elsewhere. The service was very good and they were friendly. I just don't understand why people think just because it is expensive that the food is really good."

  • "ya we love the Palm but it is so crazy to pay $10 for a potato that costs the restaurant 25 cents, $22 for a crab cocktail, $15 for a bowl of lettuce - really? we have money that is not the issue - just sayin"
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "We usually love The Palm, but they missed with about everything on this visit. The service was fair (at best) and the food was very disappointing. We ordered a ny strip for 2 and it was full of silver and gristle. Neither side dish was prepared properly... The half and half was burnt and the Brussels sprouts were steamed rather than roasted. Unless we hear something back from the restaurant (I filled out a comment card as well), we will not go back. There are too many great restaurants in Denver to spend $250 where they don't see to care."

  • "Overall a good experience. The waitress over sold the lobster. She said it was the most tendor lobster she's ever had -not chewy at all. It was good but still chewy like any other lobster I've had. It was not worth the $28 a pound."

  • "Was looking forward to a great dinner and much to my dismay it was probably one of the most disappointing meals that I have ever had. It started with ordering a filet which I requested not to be butter-fly. When we got the steak, it was butter-fly and had a taste of liver. We then ordered an NY strip steak and when we got it, it looked like a road map of "Texas" and was extremely rare for a steak considering we ordered medium. Waiter never offered any other solution."
