Diner Reviews
  • "We decided on a "staycation" meal as a treat since we weren't going out of town, and this restaurant was exactly what we were looking for: great meal, much special attention, nice atmosphere, etc."

  • "Great table overlooking one of the holes to a nice golf course. Lots of food and choices. Our party of five were extremely full."

  • "WONDERFUL! Incredible staff...my favorite restaurant!"

  • "The Palm Court consistently delivers both the best French cuisine and most romantic ambience in Phoenix. Classic French dishes are prepared tableside, adding an element of entertainment to the delicious experience. Don't miss Caesar Salad with everything prepared from scratch for each serving (so eliminating the anchovies is no problem), Dover Sole with a light almondine sauce, flambed Bananas Foster for dessert, and Cafe Diablo with a flaming string of orange peel to top off the meal. It is on the expensive side, but perfect for a special occasion such as anniversary or birthday, and will be a great memory."

  • "Everything was excellent. This was our second time there for Mother's Day and the food is excellent as is the service. "

  • "Everything went well for our special occasion dinner for my wife's birthday. Besides the fine food and service, the little touches ("Happy Birthday" mementos waiting for us at our table to begin our dinner and a larger than average birthday cake at the end of our meal) put extra emphasis on the celebration event to help make it special. I left the restaurant very satisfied and, more importantly, so did my wife."

  • "Great room, quiet, good service, good food... Can't ask for more than that... Perfect for that special occasion... The Dover Sole was wonderful."

  • "I spent a lot of time deciding where to have brunch in Phoenix /Scottsdale. I settled on this place based on the reviews and was sorely disappointed. The food is exceptionally plain and geared toward a quite older crowd. There is no outdoor seating. The only interesting station was the fresh creeps - not something one sees at most brunches. I left much of the food i took only half eaten. I would look elsewhere."

  • "Our reserved table was ready as requested. Service was not rushed and most attentive. Great food tasted freshly prepared. The entire evening was enhanced with soft live guitar music in the background. Definitely a special occasion place to dine."

  • "There are several menu items (apps, entre, desert) which require table side preparation. We had a prawn appetizer a sliced filet mignon and bananas foster flambé! Fun to watch and delicious to eat. The food was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The server was adept and talkative. Very romantic!"

  • "Sat at the bar where they make amazing cocktails. Have a wide selections of liquors and make suggestions to make those cocktails special. The food was great however one of my lamb chops came out medium. The staff brought me another one immediately cooked to perfection."

  • "We are from the Mid-west and have traveled extensively, and must say this is the best brunch we have ever had."

  • "My wife and I are originally from NYC and dined at Palm Court for the first time recently. We agreed that Palm Court is "NY quality". Fine dining in every respect. Excellent choice for that special dinner."

  • "Very nice prix fixe menu with live romantic guitar music"

  • "This place was probably really great at one time but is just terrible now. It has so much potential, with the quiet romantic atmosphere but the food is awful. Everything is drowning in either butter or sauce and not in a tasty, rich way. And the plate presentations are goofy and circa 1986. It's nice that they do Bananas Foster table-side however having a server setting down a tray with your next course next to your table WHILE you're still working on one course is absolutely unacceptable. Are you in a hurry? We aren't and we are paying more than we should for that kind of rushed service. We won't be back, we won't refer friends to eat here. Maybe our expectations were too high but this place totally lagged."

  • "Due to an illness we were unable to leave Vegas to make our time at Palm Court one of our most favorite restaurants. I spoke directly with the maître'd Quan, who understood and said he would not charge us for late cancellation, etc. we plan to go back very soon"

  • "We love to try new places and new menu items. This one had some really good old favorites. They were executed well , tasted great & looked beautiful We can not say enough good things about all of the staff that helped to care far and serve us that evening. Splendid!"

  • "The Palm Court food was delectable. I want to return for the salads prepared tableside. They are that good! I am looking for the wine we had with dinner. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which allowed good conversation over dinner, despite the fact that the restaurant is part of a bustling resort. It is fancy, without requiring guests to be fancy. They achieve a wonderful and comfortable, welcoming combination of white table cloth service and gracious warmth. I expected the prices to be quite a bit higher, so this is an added bonus. I noted some spaces for larger groups that looked lovely. Nice touches, like matches printed with the name of the reservation, and the waiter inquiring if we wanted to take them home."

  • "We dine here a LOT ...and it is always excellent...either for brunch on Sunday, lunch during the week.. or dinner anytime.... The food is outstanding...the service and people working here are great...and it is by far and away our very favorite restaurant."

  • "Had news years Eve dinner reservations. We're greeted warmly by name at reception. And shown to our table. Ordered drinks. Cosmo too sweet and dis carded it. Wine suggested was excellent.. Ended up both drinking that. Prefixe menu. Salmon ok.. Lobster bisque very good but extremely rich. Osso Bucco good.. Scallops very acidy - sauce on scallops good but could not cover Limey acid of scallops. Desserts good. Waiter nice but seemed to have just arrived from Italy and could not answer any of our wine questions.. He finally just gave us samples so we could chose for ourselves. Over all nice atmosphere but food nothing special."

  • "We flew into Phoenix on Christmas Day and wanted to have a nice dinner. We chose the Palm Court based on other reviews. We arrived at 7:00 and didn't get water until 7:30 and drinks until after eight. Our hors d'ouevres arrived at 8:15. The staff seemed busy and were probably understaffed considering it was a Holiday. However, there were a lot of empty seats. The food was excellent and almost worth the wait. I had scallops that were sensational and the spinach salad flambe done table side was delicious. The wine list was excellent as well, although our waiter had no idea on recommendations or what would go with what. I would recommend this place for the food, but don't be in a hurry and brush up on your wine selections before arrival."

  • "While visiting Scottsdale on a short Pre-Christmas holiday de-stressing vacation, my family (wife and 2 daughters) enjoyed a marvelous, multi-course tasting menu dining experience @ The Palm Court. As all member were 21+, we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and were serviced by the staff impeccably! Water glasses always filled with bottled water, plenty of time to dialogue and topped off with an excellent meal. My highlights were the lobster bisque, scallop entree and a scintillating performance for dessert (Bananas Foster) plus a YouTube-esque Coffee Diablo tableside preparation/delivery. Granted, we dined on a Monday evening, Pre-Christmas, so attendance was very minimal, but our service team from delivered an evening to remember."

  • "My wife and I had dinner at the Palm Court on a Saturday evening. We had a late reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. Initially no one approached us but within 7 or 8 minutes, the service was outstanding. Wait staff and service staff was very attentive and helpful with menu recommendations. The food was very good although my wife's halibut was "fishy". Wine selection more than met our needs. The guitarist playing provided great background music. Overall an excellent evening."

  • "The atmosphere is elegant with a "classic expensive restaurant" feel. The room is spacious and quiet, making it a good special occasion choice. The menu is not vast, with the tasting menu especially limited (only 1 or 2 items actually available in each category the night we were there). But we were both able to find interesting choices that were very well prepared and we enjoyed the food very much. The service seemed to be a team affair with no one server responsible for us. Different staff members brought out different courses and didn't time them very well, the wine didn't come on time, several minutes passed before anyone came to check on us. The staff was very apologetic and very friendly and in the end we had a very enjoyable evening"

  • "We love going to the Palm Court because of the great Sunday Buffet. The greeters are friendly. The service is wonderful and most of all the food is to die for. Appetizer table is worth it all by itself but then you have the main course and dessert which is so yummy."

  • "Palm Court has always been a favorite of ours .. for that special Anniversary dinner. The food is absolutely high quality and prepared masterfully. Impeccible service and ambiance. We highly recommend Palm Court to anyone who longs for the "old fashioned" type of dining where time seems to stand still."

  • "We'd never been to the Scottsdale Resort - didn't even know a resort existed on McCormick Pkwy. It was a nice little gem hidden away. They were decorated for the holidays - lights on all the trees - making it a magical experience. The Palm Court was upstairs which is unusual in a resort but it allowed nice views of the golf course. It was a buffet and done nicely. They had shrimp, salmon, ham, turkey, and roast beef as the main course items and all were nicely done. The wait staff was a little overwhelmed though - you could see and feel their frustration at having a revolving door of diners. They are probably used to a less hectic day. But, they pulled through and did their jobs. We would eat here again."

  • "My family has had many special occasions at the Palm Court Restaurant over the last 10 years. We have had many birthday parties and anniversaries in the private dining area as well as reversal dinners for weddings in the other large dining area. Every time we have been there, we have had exceptional service and the food has been outstanding! We have gotten to know many of the wonderful staff and they have served us so beautifully. We always thing of the Palm Court when celebrating a special occasion. You would not be disappointed!!!!"

  • "Don't often give reviews, but our Thanksgiving Brunch deserved my writing one; very fresh, very plentiful array of food; my guests were pleased; all felt it was a memorable dining experience."

  • "This was the second year in a row that we had thanksgiving dinner/brunch here and although it was good it seemed bland compared to last year. The salads and desserts were very good, but the main meal was just ok. The turkey and dressing was dry and did not have much flavor. All in all a little disappointing this year. May need to try somewhere else next year."
