Restaurant was not busy at all, however waiter hardly came around to check on us. We had to serve our own wine. Called ahead to make sure my husband diet was met but this was a disaster. Got charged for 2 bottles of wine instead of one. Correction was made!

This restaurant is lovely and the Eisenhower golf course is its backdrop. I dined here for a business lunch with 3 other party members and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had the ahi tuna appetizer which was the very best that I've ever had. The branzino fish and shrimp dish was delish. I look forward to returning.

We had the dining room to ourselves, we went on a Sunday evening during a holiday weekend. The food was absolutely wonderful. My husband had the foie gras appetizer while I had the pan seared crab cakes. I have never had crab cakes that good! The steak and seafood risotto for dinner were excellent. The berry napoleon was also the best we had ever had! A wonderful dining experience in a romantic environment.

One of your catering hall/restaurant factories that "pop" up in this suburban area. The type that even before it has opened for business states that they have a tradition of old world charm and service. You have to drive through darken roads to find the factory. They have white signs with ivory lettering to direct you. Many u-turns are made. After valet parking - sent to wedding factory side. Had to go out again to find restaurant. Palm Court looks elegant, but noise level made it sound like Food Court at Roosevelt Field Mall. Hostess suggests we eat in their Wine Cellar, which was secluded, but sterile. Food was good. Service was from a waiter who was running from his station upstairs to handle us. Stick with the real old world...Very Ehh.

we heard so much about this restaurant so decided to try it for a family birthday. the atmosphere was nice, but the food was not worth the $$$ we spent! the filet mignon and eggs fell short. filet was tough and unflavorful. the bean soup we had was just as flavorless. my appetizer smoked salmon plate literally had ONE small slice of smoked salmon on it-really? for shame. the dessert cake was mediocre. definitely NOT worth $400 for this meal (8 people and the 20% gratuity was included -that's an average of $50 pp and we had 3 kids with us) ! to top off our day, we got our car back from their valet with a dent in the door of our BRAND NEW car. $1,690. repair. will never go back here!

The service was pretty marginal. Went for my 25th anniversary.I was a waiter for 20 years, so I may be pickier than most, but there were some major problems here. There was so much time between courses, took at least 20 minutes to get a drink on the table, had to ask for water refills and chase down the check. The place was pretty empty during the week and there was ample staff; when I passed the kitchen door, I heard a large group yucking it up...so that's where they were!Glassware was dingy, both wine and the hurricane lamps.Step it up here, guys.Come out of the kitchen and pay proper attention to your customers. Our waiter just seemed lazy!Your wine knowledge means nothing if you take forever to bring me a glass. A clean one would be nice.

The valet gives you a ticket, you make your way thorough a walkway decorated with a handsome decorative life sized white horse and the pretty maitre' D sits you in what is probably the most royal setting I have seen in any restaurant. Big tables, comfortable chairs, vaulted ceilings and formal waiting from beginning to end. Huge wine list, deliciously eclectic appetizers, buttery lobster tails and probably the most perfectly cooked skirt steak (so my wife says) we ever had. Seemed like every other table had some sort of celebration going but The Palm Court is one of those places your friends and family wont forget.

I recently had dinner at The Palm Court and the atmosphere couldn't have been more disappointing. The restaurant was almost empty and most of those who were dining there were as old as the decor in the restaurant. Updates should have been done 2-3x since they last made changes to the decor and in an effort to attract more people. The views of the gold course are beautiful, but I couldn't even focus on them as I was so engrossed in all of the other distractions. The food was average and we even had to send back the tuna appetizer as it was loaded with so much salt. Thwere are so many nicer, more energetic restaurants in the area with much better food; do not waste your time at the Palm Court.

Arrived on a Sunday to have brunch outside. It was a beautiful day, but was very disappointed in the food. 2 in my party ordered the Suckling Pig, being in the restaurant & catering business for years, I could tell this dish was left over from a Catering Party from the weekend. I was served the ends which they usually don't serve for a party, and the bones. I don't complain, I just don't come back, bad for business. I have had many excellent meals here before, but would say I don't think I would return for brunch to eat leftovers. If you can't serve fresh food, don't serve it at all. I will say, I will return again, but not for Sunday brunch. Too bad.

We have been there at least 4 times in past two years. Saturday night was very disappointing. Service and food quality not what it has been. We waited very long for entree and steak tough or over cooked. We waited for dessert so very long we almost got up to leave. When it arrived, it was a dry donut with ice cream (which was good). We left the restaurant a bit disgruntled and disappointed. Cannot say when we will be back.

Great food. Great service. Great views. Only negative is the $37.95 price fix dinner menu was not offered or mentioned by the staff until we asked about it. However, another more expensive $63 special menu was printed and placed at each setting. That was a bit off putting. Enjoyed the patio and reggae band. Otherwise no disappointments.

It was a beautiful evening and thought that we should go to the Carltun and enjoy the outdoor dining w/music. All was going well, we were served our wine and an appetizer when suddenly cigar smoke filled the air. It was terrible. We could no longer smell the food. I asked to speak to the Manager. He said that there is a designated smoking area for those who just want to sit and relax and enjoy their beverage with a cigar. I could not believe that this is possible in New York. I assumed that smoking was prohibited in restaurants. We will never return to that restaurant again. This is a terrible policy for the outdoors, whereas, cigar smoke is very offensive to those who are cancer survivors or undergoing treatment.

Went for my mothers birthday brunch and the setting and decor were lovely. Brunch selection and price were good, and the food was good. But service was terrible. Hostess and wait staff seemed rather condescending, as if we did not belong there. Maybe they have not had much experience with an entire Asian family who actually speak perfect English, and who actually expect the service we pay for. Not terribly busy at all but the prixe fixe courses were so slow to be served! I will not be returning or recommending.

It was advertised that there is music on Friday nights, which was a draw for me. When I arrived at 7 p.m. they said that the band cancelled, due to a weather forecast. All they had to do was go inside, there was plenty of room for that. Food always excellent. Pricey place, but they had a price fixed menu for $58; but selection looked not too g

We have recently reserved a table for 2 as a special occasion, given it that it was our wedding anniversary. This was highlighted during the reservation and I have requested that they pay attention to details and that they provide candle light with the desert. They have agreed to these details and it sounded that the service we were used to a few years ago is all in order. Unfortunately, the service experienced was sub par and there request with respect to the anniversary based desert option has never materialized. Additionally, the service was sloppy and rushed.

Our go to restaurant when we want that special feel of being in a special place to be with friends. Varied menu with something for everyone, moderate prices, but it could use some updating. Spicy tuna wrap a hit! Grilled veggie panini flat, lacks flavor. Big plus is the bar with a full wine list and bartender who knows how to make a good mixed drink.

After coming here once or twice a year as something to look forward to we were a little disappointed. While still beautiful and elegant, we were surprised that such a pristine, white glove service would seat us at a table with 2 very noticeable sauce spots on the table cloth. The staff quickly changed the linen. The food, which we had always found exceptional, was good with 1 major disappointment. The lamb chops, while flavorful, were very chewy and sinuous. The wait staff seemed to lack coordination in menu knowledge and orders placed. The table next to us sent their order back twice after 'not serving what was ordered'. We hope this was a one off and the Carltun will regain it's high standards when we return.

Great for special occasions. I would, however, inform the person making the reservation if there will be outside "rock" band entertainment. This, of course, is up to every individual making a reservation. Since my husband and I were celebrating our "32nd" wedding anniversary, we especially liked the intimacy and quietness of the restaurant inside, before the "rock" band started to play.

The view from the outdoor patio was fantastic. A live band played lounge classics. The food was delicious and the service, terrific. I enjoyed a special that had four signature dishes. If you are looking for a romantic evening, this is the spot to come. We ate here this weekend and the only issue I had was the mixture of bar and dining crowds on the patio. Loud, cigar & cigarette smokers were a turn off for us as we were trying to enjoy a romantic evening.
