  • "We took a friend who was visiting from out of country and invited a few other mutual friends along. Everyone loved the food, the atmosphere and the view. Joel was our server and he was great! Attentive but never intrusive. I'm a regular and try to introduce people to Palisade, especially the brunch, whenever I can."

  • "If you're looking for a "can't miss" dining experience for a special occasion, out-of-town guests, or just you and yours, then Palisade is that place. We had not been there since the interior remodel and found the look and feel better than expected -- everything from the color choices to the more comfortable chair really enhanced our leisurely brunch experience. As for the food, well it continues to earn all the accolades that get heaped upon it. And I challenge you to find fresher crab legs and oysters on the half shell anywhere."

  • "We had a beautiful table right by the windows, overlooking the marina. Our server, Joseph G., was fantastic and his wine memory was just as great. The only thing I would suggest not ordering is the "king crab legs" as an add on. It was only one leg and very small for $25. The lobster crab bisque was outstanding!"

  • "My wife and I planned a date night at Palisade because we were given a gift card. We had not been to the restaurant in several years and were excited to return. In short, we had a good experience. However, a few things contributed to the reason for the average rating. Based on these experiences, I doubt we will return as there are several other restaurants that we will frequent that offer better food, value and service. 1. We were seated at possibly the worst seat in the house even though we had a reservation. Manager graciously moved us. 2. Busboy seamed overly eager to take our plates even thought we were still eating 3. Food was pretty bland and overpriced. I will pay more if the food is great Good, not great. We expected more."

  • "Well designed lunch menu with good variety, the ease of pre fixe or the freedom of a la carte. Dinner sized portions of wonderfully prepared food. Attentive but unobtrusive service. All enhanced by the panoramic view of Elliott Bay Marina and the Seattle skyline. And don't forget about plentiful free parking - just make sure you're not in the marina's permit zones. Well worth the short drive from downtown."

  • "Went here for our wedding anniversary, and as usual both the food and service were outstanding. I had Ahi Tuna, my wife had steak. Steak was solid; however not on a par with Ruth's or other top-end steak houses. That's not surprising, because these folks are noted for their seafood. The tuna was excellent, without any qualifications at all. Also recommend the Calamari appetizer, which is tender(!) and delicious."

  • "not good for the price.oysters were milky, scallops were drenched in garlic butter and had a huge mound of faro, not very attractive or pleasing to the pallet. my opah had no sauce on a bed of fried rice( 34$) calamari was soggy and mixed with a over sweetened general taos sauce. so disappointed will never go back. need to fire the chef! this is coming from a chef who has been in the business for 35 years, I know food."

  • "I often come to Palisade to celebrate my birthday each year, but this year I'll be out of town. I made reservations for the weekend to take my boyfriend for the first time. Little did I know, he proposed that afternoon before we made it to the restaurant! We hadn't indicated a special occasion on the reservation, but the hostess asked when we came in if we were celebrating anything special. So I shared the exciting news! Five minutes later, we're seated at a table with a gorgeous view of Elliott Bay and downtown Seattle, rose petals on the table and a congratulatory note. The manager came by to speak with us and our waitress was phenomenal. I will always continue to come back to Palisade to celebrate special times."

  • "That's about it, $22 for baked half chicken and mashed potatoes.. or a marinated hanger steak (which is a cheap piece of meat). The location and the service is great but its hard to pay the price for that if you are tipping 15% on a $120 bill for two. I think I will stick with Maggies down below."

  • "Great service, seafood with little or no taste. Very disappointing for my first, and most likely, last trip to Palisade."

  • "We celebrated our Anniversary with a Sunday Brunch at Palisades -- eight years after having our wedding reception there. Awesome as always. The brunch has evolved (and certainly increased in price) over the many years we have been coming to Palisades. I'd say it's also gotten better and become a better value during that time. There are just too many options on the Brunch Buffet to list. Most are great...while a few were just okay. This visit, the crab legs, oysters and prime rib were the favorites. As usual, the service and views were amazing. Highly recommended."

  • "It was a sunny evening and the views out over the bay were stunning. The transport service to down town Seattle was a nice touch."

  • "Fabulous as always. My husband and I got married at Palisade 12 years ago and it's a delight to return and celebrate anniversaries with family and friends. The prime rib is always done perfectly to order, and the fresh seafood dishes couldn't be better. The service continues to be outstanding and we always feel comfortable and well attended to."

  • "My wife and I just moved to the Magnolia neighborhood from Denver, CO and were looking for a nice, close restaurant with good food. Palisade was recommended by quite a few people, and we sure see why now. The food was terrific, although not quite top-tier. The service was fantastic, and the flow of the restaurant, along with the view of the bay and the city were outstanding. Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant."

  • "The food, service and view were outstanding. I don't recall any noise at all, but we were early diners. It is still my very favorite place to take visitors from out of town and for special occasions. You have it all! Haven't been to brunch lately but it has always been delicious!"

  • "Service wasn't that great and we got seated away from the windows while we requested window seating... Food was really good though and you're basically paying for the view. Not terrible but not sure I'm in a hurry to go back..."

  • "My wife and I took our grandson (16) for a "special treat" kind of dinner. I have eaten at Palisade from time to time over the past 15 years, and enjoyed myself on each visit. Our dinner on this occasion was good to very good, but not great. The food was mildly disappointing and pricey for the portion size. We shared an order of crab cakes as our appetizer, and they were very good. My wife and I had the "crab-stuffed colossal prawns", which turned out to be langoustine, and they were rather tough. The grilled veggies which accompanied the entree were somewhat dried out, but tasted OK. My grandson had the seafood platter (scallops, salmon, and prawns) which he liked. We shared the triple creme brulee for dessert, and it was excellent."

  • "We visited Palisade for our anniversary. We got there on a weeknight around 6pm and the restaurant was quiet. We were there for more than an hour and a half and by the time we left, the restaurant was much busier, but still romantic and beautiful. We mentioned that it was our anniversary, and when they sat us at our table, they had decorated it with rose petals and an anniversary card. The service was impeccable and the food was to die for. So delicious!"

  • "Girlfriend and I had dinner on a cloudy but nice summer Saturday night at 8:00. Reservations were at 8 and we were sat by 8:10 or so. Service was very good. View was outstanding overlooking the marina with countless sailboats and a great view of all of Seattle and Mt Rainier (weather permitting of course). Mt Rainier was partially enveloped in clouds the whole time, which actually added to the view. I would say this is a unique view of Seattle and the mountain as it's looking SSE towards both. The food was good to excellent. Caesar salad was different, but good. Sides for my prime rib were excellent, and the prime rib was good. She had the seafood trio, which was excellent. Scallops melt in your mouth. Overall very satisfied."

  • "We love Palisades! Love the view, the service and the menu! Only thing I miss is the die-for coconut cake!"

  • "The food was delicious, the setting was very nice but after the main course was served, the service went down, down hill. It took longer for us to order dessert, be served it and get the check than the whole rest of the meal combined (bottle of wine, soups, and entrees). I tried to get the server's attention many times as he walked past, but he kept his eyes down to avoid our gaze every time."

  • "The Palisade is one of the finest restaurants. The servers are courteous, informed, and willing to suggest menu items. The food is fresh and expertly prepared, and there is not a bad view in the house. I always feel like it has been a memorable evening after dinning at Palisade."

  • "Palisade offers an upscale experience with an amazing view of Elliot Bay with seafood to match. While I found the peccorino flat bread somewhat over-subtle, the meal as a whole was an excellent presentation of NW fusion cuisine."

  • "I had forgotten how quiet Palisades is! You can actually carry on a conversation. The scenery was beautiful, the food was excellent, the ambiance was enjoyable and the service was impeccable without being in the way. Good job!"

  • "Great food and the service was incredibly attentive. Red rose petals sprinkled on the table for a birthday was so nice. We chose to sit in the bar area and unfortunately sat under the mechanical piano and it was a bit too loud. The music is pleasant in other parts of the restaurant Will take note for next time!!! We also went to the brunch at Easter and the food was so good as well as so plentiful and dining here for brunch is a great adventure. I am glad new options show up on the lunch menu because this is one of our "go to" places."

  • "Our waiter (Garret) did a nice job doing damage control. The evening started off tough. We were seated and waited 50 minutes before we were able to get the attention of a server to track down our waiter. Garret was not the waiter for our section but was brought in to save the day. While management did split the bill with us, the manager never came to apologize, that was left to Garret. While we had no other plans for the evening and the view was a great distraction, there are other dinning options competing for our dollars. Our next special night out would likely be to Ray's Boat House or Daniels Broiler."

  • "This was our first time at Palisade and we were very impressed. The view was incredible and the layout of the restaurant allowed everyone to see the it. My wife and I both ordered the surf and turf. My favorite was the prime rib while my wife enjoyed all the seafood. The wait staff was friendly and attentive but didn't intrude. I would highly recommend Palisades."

  • "Food wasn't amazing & huge pepper chucks in everything. Great view yet the inside was so dark. Great that we could have a car pick us up but couldn't take it back unless we wanted to wait another 30mins but we had already sat waiting for our bill for 20 & had to go ask gostest to call for it. Table was in the back & had a wedding party passing by constantly to avoid."

  • "Have eaten at Palisade previously and walked away impressed and completely satisfied. They have admittedly made some significant changes on their menu, and quite honestly it just doesn't work. The crab and lobster bisque was incredible, as was the pork medley entree. The salmon and steaks were mediocre at best, and paying nearly $60 for Copper River King that was merely average left a poor taste in my mouth...or was that the salmon/sushi which arrive poorly prepared? I would have sent it back to be cooked longer, however since the waiter made a blunder on my order I was served just as others were finishing. I won't go back, and cannot recommend Palisade."

  • "On a recent Friday night, we enjoyed an absolutely perfect dinner. We ordered from the before 6:00 PM 3-course menu ($32.00), plus had some additional appies and a great bottle of red wine. Palisade does not disappoint. The food is excellent (our party had roast BBQ pork, prawns and steak, seafood Louie salad), it has the best view in Seattle, and the staff are very kind and attentive. One could not ask for anything better. Thanks, Palisade!!"

  • "We came for the early fixed price 3 course dinner and were very happy with our choice. There were several choices for each of the courses and the appetizer and entree courses were especially good, dessert was just OK. The ambiance on a sunny evening can't be beat, the marina and downtown views are great. Service was excellent and the manager went out of his way to be accomodating. Great value for the money."

  • "Palisades impresses us every time we visit. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and considerate. We are greeted warmly and seated quickly. The views are great and live music is amazing and way too rare at good restaurants. Highly recommended."

  • "Perhaps the Space Needle has a better view and maybe other restaurants surpass Palisade's wine list or menu selection, but few, anywhere, outdo Palisade for the totality of the experience you enjoy when you dine. It is an event for a special event, a treat for just about any reason at all, a chance to be catered to because you deserve it. The entire staff is friendly without being gratuitous or invasive; they seem to gear their service to exactly what you expect. If it's not right, they make it so you are happy: "We are not happy unless you are" seems to be the theme. My King Salmon entree was modified to my gluten-free request with a totally positive response. The other plates were equally amazing. We will be back, many times!"
