In the past we have had a number of enjoyable visits to Palisades and were quite satisfied with the food, service and ambiance. This most recent experience there was an exception. The service and atmosphere were fine but the food was a disappointment. The soup (bisque) was served almost cold and was relatively tasteless. The entrees were boring. The deserts were average. It seemed as if the quality control in the kitchen had broken down.

Palisade's is one of our favorite restaurants. Even during Restaurant Week, the food, service and ambiance are top notch. Michelle was our server and, as usual, she is friendly, happy and knowledgeable. We always try to sit in her section. Both of our meals were amazing and the Leonetti Wine was spectacular! There aren't many 'fancy' restaurants in Seattle, and Palisade fits the bill. Thank you for always delivering.

Palisade has gone through many changes over the past couple of years; most of them good. However, the menu has gone through changes and not all are favorable. In our latest dining experience, I ordered something I had in the past that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was quite disappointed that it was NOT the same dish. Previously, there were 5 or 6 large prawns stuffed with crabmeat. The prawns were succulent and cooked to perfection. The same menu item now has 2 HUGE prawns. The presentation was eye catching. However, they were dry and served still in the shell, which made it difficult to eat. It appears they traded taste for looks. The server indicated that he has heard the "inconsistency" complaint before.

Our dinner at Palisades was amazing all the way. Our daughter just finished taking her last medical board and we had a celebration dinner. She flew in from NY and we were visiting from Napa. We were greeted so warmly and our table request with a water view was honored. They put a sign on the table Congratualtions with red rose petals..so festive. Our dinner was perfection..ny prime rib was smoked and cut like butter..the poached lobster in court bullion was tender and juicy and had a creative presentation...we were not rushed at all and turly enjoyed our whole evening..this is a must go to restaurant..They have a free shuttle to pick you up and take you home. Just great!!

I have been there twice now. It is one, if not the best restaurants I have ever been to. It sits on the water front and has fantastic views of Seattle and Alki. At night the lights from the Ferris wheel, Space Needle and Quest field are picture perfect. The ambience is great too. It was very busy around 7PM on a Wednesday evening and I was pleasantly surprised that I could talk across the table and hear my parties conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Palisades used to be one of our favorites, but we haven't been there for a couple years. What a difference. The ambiance is unchanged and the service is good, but the food no longer pleases. We used to love their crab cakes....now they are dry and tasteless. The halibut I had was overpowered by some awful tomatoed rice and was accompanied by little dry clams. The salad, apples, blue cheese, etc., wasn't very good either, and the bread was a far cry from the previous variety. The prices, however, were the same or more. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it.

My favorite restaurant in consideration of food, service and atmosphere. Had reservations and got window-side table per request. Went during Seattle Restaurant Week. Little disappointed that we could only choose 2 out of three entrees for $15 but I understand about increasing costs. Chose and ate all of the romaine Kale salad; extremely filling and delicious. All 4 of us ordered the burger & fries. The burger was different from the last promotion... Was more like their slider that I had in the bar a couple of weeks ago but bigger. Still delicious but was expecting the other one, which was more flavorful. Took half home since I got full on salad. Was great second day, too. group enjoyed food, views, and service!

The server said we could only choose two courses rather than the 3 printed on the Seattle Restaurant Week. I had driven from quite a distance to come. I called later and asked to speak to the manager - she said the Seattle Times made an error and did not offer any apology. In the afternoon the web site had been changed to two courses for lunch. Terrible Customer Service and PR. I'd have to think very hard to return. It used to be one of our favorite places.

My daughter and I came here for lunch during Restaurant week. We ordered off of your restaurant week menu. I ordered the fish and chips, it was good. My daughter ordered the risotto. When our main dish came the risotto was not risotto. It was disappointing from the fact that she was expecting risotto, not something like quinoa. The flavors were good on the risotto, but this was not risotto.

OK ... it's true: part of the experience is the spectacular location and the architecturally interesting building. But brunch should be about choice and food -- and at Palisade, it is! Since its tasteful modest renovation, the size of the already impressive buffet has been greatly expanded. It would be impossible for a mortal to sample all of the options, but we gave it a valid try. The seafood is especially good with diverse Sushi, Steelhead, cold choices (oysters, crab, shrimp) and wonderful green curry razor clams. But the other options range from more traditional (silver dollar pancakes, ham and/or a bespoke omelet) to the more lunch-like (pesto pasta with mild salami, prime rib, etc.). Equally diverse choices of desserts.

I've been there many times, and always had a great experience, and wonderful food, but this last time, I ordered the surf and turf, it was mediocre at best. Lesson learned, stick with the seafood-that's their specialty. The prime rib was tough, hard to cut and very, very chewy. I couldn't eat it-sent it back. The seafood that accompanied it was delicious, as was the sushi roll appetizer we had. Also, my hubby's rib steak was pretty lean too, and too much smokiness. The restaurant is amazing, our server was brilliant, took care of the prime rib issue, and we will go back.
