PalisadeBirthday DinnerWe went to Palisade for my husband's birthday dinner. I requested a window table which was accommodated. The only issue was there was a post that blocked the view from both sides of the table. The table had rose petals on in with a birthday wish--what a nice touch. The service was excellent. Stephanie was our waitperson. She was attentive without being too intrusive. The food presentation was well done and the flavor was wonderful. The halibut was done to perfection, and the rib eye steak was huge also was done to perfection. We will come back.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMgood for a business lunch, good for a business lunch, good food and service, lack of noise makes communication easy5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMRecommend by friendBrought my family there during my trip to Bellevue. Love the food, love the place. Will definite go again! Very delicious.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's not everyday that I willIt's not everyday that I will splurge on a fancy dinner, but the three times I have at palisade, I've never been disappointed. The service is great--our servers have always been knowledgeable about the menu items and specials, and are always helpful in recommending items when I'm having difficulty deciding. The scenery is also wonderful, so be wire to request a window seat!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMCopper River Salmon Experts! Our annual visit this time of year for the one and only Copper River Salmon. The dinner was started with the lobster/crab dip, which is just plain outstanding! Had the Lobster Bisque and hubby had the Caesar Salad, both wonderful. Then the main course arrived. Totally FABULOUS! Kudos to the chef! Had it done on the applewood grill and the flavor was amazing! A true treat for the tastebuds!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were there to celebrateWe were there to celebrate my wife's birthday, our service was was excellent. The food was as very well prepared and was served in a timely manner. the staff's attention to detail was appreciated. I will definitly return to this facility again.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for special occasionsPalisade's is a classic choice in Seattle for taking a date to a "nice dinner". Birthday's and anniversaries in particular seem to be a popular reason.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe gem that is Palisade...Love that they have freshened up the decor and, altho they no longer have my favorite scallop dish on the menu, the food was excellent once again. Prime rib dip and Yukon Gold 'fries' (which were actually deep fried wedges of carboliciousness) - yum!. The apple crisp dessert with caramel ice cream was overly sweet by a mile, perhaps would have benefitted from vanilla ice cream (I know, how vanilla! but work with me here, people) or the use of a more tart or milder fruit to offset the caramel ice cream...it was a wee bit of overkill on the flavors. Otherwise, a good time had by all of us, at least.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMNice lunchWe had a friend visiting from California and decided to go to Palisades for lunch. Such a beautiful view. The food was wonderful. Service was good, but the waitress could have been a bit more attentive. Overall a very nice lunch.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThree of us enjoyed the three-coursThree of us enjoyed the three-course meal. I had the salmon and it was delicious. the other two had the prime rib and said it was great. The California egg rolls and salad were also very nice. And the apple crisp was phenomenal. We really enjoyed everything about the evening - the service, the view, and the meal.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day happinessWhat a wonderful experience. It has been quite a few years since we have been to Palisades and I had forgotten how great it is! Great food!! Great service!! Excellent brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDid not meet expectationsThis is one of our "go-to" special occasion restaurants. We had 7 people for Mother's Day. 4 people ordered steaks and everyone of them was overcooked. There was no rare or medium-rare to be found, all were well done. The scallops were awesome and the wine was good. We will probably give it another shot though because we have had so much success in the past.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSpectacular ExperienceThis year, I surprised my mom by making a reservation with Palisade for our Mother's Day dinner. She loves the atmosphere of the restaurant and the gorgeous view of the Marina and Elliot Bay, and even though the restaurant was clearly busy (since it was Mother's Day) we got both-- a relaxing, congenial atmosphere and a small table with a beautiful view of the water. Bonus: we were also close to the indoor fountain, and the burbling of the water soothed away any excessive noise from other diners. The food at Palisade is sublime, the cocktails are little bits of hand-crafted elegance and the dessert (really, you must try the apple-pear bread pudding, if nothing else) will make you swoon. Two thumbs way, way up in my book!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBEST MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH!Table was excellent! Buffet contained a variety of brunch foods including lots of seafood. While restaurant was crowded there was little noise. View of marina thru sparkling clean windows was superb! Dessert bites were tasty and right size.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dining experienceMy husband and I took our neighbor to Palisades for dinner over the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe place to go!This is the place a like to go when something special is going on. We also do the early special that great for the food and the wallet. I like the view but also the open feeling of space. The waiters are treating guest like rroyality and the food is the best in town.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMseating arrangementInitially, we were seated in a spot that had my wife and I on the same side. This is much more difficult to talk with each other and while some couples may prefer not talking, we do. We should've been asked before walking all the way to the table and then having to walk all the way back. The restaurant did accommodate and solved the problem without too much of a wait, but it easily could have been worse.
Regardless, the service was outstanding and engaging. The food was great, but the above was an interesting start, and would've been far more difficult to resolve had the5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent wait staffKnowledgable, experienced, knew wine list, good fish, perfectly done5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Nice LunchThe food was really good - and it is a lovely location. Fabulous and attentive service and the food was delicious. Thanks so much for a great evening.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food and beautiful view..We have been a couple times now for brunch and it is absolutely wonderful. Just get the buffet, or order a full meal for ~$5 more and it comes with the full buffet. And when I say buffet, it isn't like your typical buffet. Sushi, pancakes made to order (to die for), seafood bar, salads, fruits and cheese, fondue, etc., etc., etc. It really is wonderful.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMbeautiful interior design, beautiful interior design, nice atmosphere, food-good (nothing special) but very unpleasant hostesses we had bad (uncomfortable, no view) table.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place to celebrate`We took a friend to celebrate her birthday, and all 4 of us were pleasantly thrilled with the whole experience. Our waiter was superb, as was the food, scenery, and atmosphere. We will be back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Pacing....The ambiance and view speak for themselves - but of note, Kimberly our server, followed our pacing lead. Drinks first.... an appetizer, and then the famed 3 course lunch. She followed our lead every step of the way that made for a very nice dining experience!!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnolia Marina Gemalways a good choice, can be a little spendy but oh so worth it!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMvery nice brunch, our groupvery nice brunch, our group did a verity, we had some that ordered an entree and two of us did the buffet only. i was more than satisfied with the buffet alone and i did the Bloody Mary bar, so much fun. many choices and beautiful views and a great waiter!!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMTable was ready right awayTable was ready right away with a great view. From the dungeness crab cake appetizers to the garlic prawns an the cedar plank king salmon, everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. As the sun sets, Palisades out-of-the-way location provides a fantastic outlook over the yacht basin to downtown, Alki and across to Bainbridge. I won't take so long to come back next time.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary CelebrationI proposed marriage to my wife 14 years ago at Palisades.
It was the perfect choice to celebrate our anniversary their this year.

I wish it was a little bit more romantic and more of a older crowd but other then that it was nice. The food was great and the waitress was super nice and friendly.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI ordered the Alaskan kingI ordered the Alaskan king crab legs for $65 and I only got one leg. I was told that the amount that is given is by weight- 1 pound. This leg did not seem to weigh one pound. I wish the wait person would have advised me that lately the chef is giving out only one leg. I would have ordered something else.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst impressionsWe have not eaten at Palisade before, but we will surely return! Menu selections were varied and all looked tempting. The service was terrific from the moment we entered the building till we left. All employees were attentive and friendly, not only to us, but to each other.
The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. My husband asked for his salmon to be cooked to 125 degrees, and it was! Perfectly! We were impressed and sold for the future.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant is amazing!!This restaurant is amazing!! Take a sweater and enjoy the view!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband has some seriousMy husband has some serious diet restrictions and our server, Rebecca, relayed those to the chef. Together they were able to make the adjustments to his meal and make it an enjoyable evening out, with no worries on our end. It is often difficult for us to eat out and not be constantly worried that my husband can eat from the menu, but at Palisades, we are never disappointed.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth every penny and every bite! The view is great and the atmosphere is really nice! My entire family loved the food and atmosphere and service!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary celebbrationOur visit was in honor of our 33 wedding anniversary. It was good but didn't knock my socks off. But I would go there again.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMgave us a very small tablegave us a very small table for 7 people turn out we had 8 it was tight squeeze4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMimpeccable service, minor quibblesas always, service was impeccable. my waitress, Kimberley, and the rest of the staff did an excellent job. this is one of the things I love about palisades is that the service quality is consistently impeccable.
minor quibbles from this visit:
my bisque, while delicious, was only luke warm. I saw another patron later served a steaming hot bowl and I would have preferred that.
I got the sushi meal from the lunch special which was outstanding. I wish I had been warned that something spicy was sprinkled on the salmon roll so I could have maybe asked to have that part withheld. the roll was declicious but a bit too spicy for me (admittedly my spicy sensitivity is pretty sensitive these days.).4/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
